Cons (-) The non smoking rooms had been heavily smoked in—to the point of being sticky with smoke film. The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. People were blatantly smoking in and just outside of non smoking rooms. Door mats were full of cigarette burns and there were butts everywhere. The exterior was greasy and gritty with dirt. Pros (+) The Vacaville Motel 6 is well located. The people working at the hotel are very welcoming.
Cons (-) No coffee maker or ironing board in the room, but for budget prices, you should not expect these items.

Pros (+) It was clean, plenty of space.
Cons (-) The online description said it had a mini fridge. It did not. I have not stayed at a motel 6 that had neither fridge nor microwave in over a decade. The receptionist was very rude. She called out, "we're full" as soon as I walked in and argued with me about what day I had a reservation for, without even checking. I know that the, "customer is always right" attitude is very frustrating, but she did...

Cons (-) Bed bugs! Room 105. Stay away. One of my employees got bitten all over his shoulder. Blood on sheets next morning. He thought it was a tick because he killed one of them while scratching in the middle of the night . Staff vey rude. Family run. The mother is nice but the daughters are not, especially the taller one. Drug activity, police investigations, prostitution. Late night bottles being broken...

Pros (+) The room was very simple, but very clean - wood floors and furniture makes it look a lot cleaner than carpet and upholstery. Everything was basic, but that is to be expected.
Cons (-) The mattress sounded as though it had a rubber sheet on it. This could be simply to maintain the cleanliness of the room, but it was loud and distracting - I didn't sleep as well as I hoped as a result.
