The location was perfect! 10 min walk to the white house! I suggest getting a bird scooter and getting around that way. The entire hotel was very clean. The bar in the lobby is a bit pricey but good. Pro-tip is sit at the bar top. You'll thank me later.
The room was nice but did feel a little dated.
The hotel has a very nice lobby and restaurant. The room and furnishings are old but not ugly. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom could be more modern.
There was a 2cm gap under the door so all the noise came into the room. Parking is extremly expensive.
I like the overall room. It’s very comfortable. They were also very kind enough to give me a free complementary breakfast voucher. Location is perfect very close to tourist attractions and shopping.(15min walk to shopping area/Portraits Gallery for example)
Housekeeping completing a clean of room every 3 days- I don’t understand this point. Is this a business decision due to costings, I don’t remember this rule for other Hilton’s I stayed in across the globe. I stayed for 2 nights so room was not cleaned at all. The fact that my room (I don’t think any room does) does not have a sign for “make my room”, not quite sure how they would clean my room or know if I had towels on the floor which means new towels requested. I phoned housekeeping to advise I needed more towels, at the time my room was clean (day 1) so didn’t need to ask to clean. I am sure they would have if requested. Although I received a breakfast voucher for continental breakfast for day 1, the actual breakfast with buffet is $28 per person (excl tax). I think this is way overpriced, which is why i didn’t pay for it for day 2. (This is over $60 for 2 people with tax and tips). I think there should be an assessment done over pricing, I don’t think the market or competitors offer it this high. There’s also loads of restaurants and cafes close by and breakfast would not cost this much.
The staff and that it had a CVS practically connected to the property
The room smelled like an ashtray. The walls and carpet had absorbed the smell. Ironically it was situated next to a PURE room which I am sure was also a smoking room in the past. No complimentary water and no fridge. Mattress was hard as a board and I prefer a firm mattress. Tiny pillows.
Worst choice I could have made. Valet damaged my wheels parking my car god knows where then refused to call me back and even handle situation. Choose another hotel & stay away from any hotel using TOWN PARK VALET.
