Conveniently located in the political heart of Washington, DC, this full service 11-story Capitol Hill hotel occupies a full city block. Located two blocks from the US Capitol and Union Station - home to Amtrak and Washington's Metro Subway system, the hotel is within walking distance to the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, National Gallery of Art and restaurants. The Fitness Center / swimming pool is complimentary for hotel guests.
There was plenty of space and it was very clean
when I booked it said I would have a city view and what I got was far from. Also it said that breakfast was included and well again what I got was very different. no breakfast unless I wanted to pay $22 ontop of a $300 + room that is crazy!!
Overall clean and comfortable stay with friendly staff. Room was average. Close to capitol. Pool was clean.
Some areas close to the hotel didn't feel the safest for walking. Quickly figured out which direction was best to walk to avoid those areas. TV was broken (didn't complain while we were there because I only tried to watch the day we were packing to leave).
This was our second stay at this hotel. Very pleasant stay.
The only critical comment I can make is that the conditioner toiletry bottle was empty.
I requested an early check-in. I love that the hotel texted me about my room availability the morning of check-in. I texted them when I was a few minutes away and they informed me that the room was ready.
The bathroom wasn't fully clean upon check-in. I called the front desk and they quickly moved us to a new room.
Loved the lobby area, the staff was great. Great convenient location.
Air conditioning seemed to be not working so well. A small mini fridge is always a plus in any hotel.
Nice location with great staff.
Pool locker rooms out of date and in disrepair.
Close to Capitol and very convenient for my trip. Easy to check in with the self service screens. Taxis standing at entrance, so getting to other destinations was expedient, especially to the airport in the early morning.
Several bellmen standing out front when I arrived, but none greeted me as I exited the cab. Room had an odor, and bed was lumpy. Rates were high due to tourist season, so value was offset by 'not so goods'.
The staff was far above any expectation and the facility was very nice and comfortable. The staff made the experience better than any 5 star hotels I have been to.
The location was not good. I did not feel safe walking back to the hotel day or night. The hotel was surrounded by homeless.
Clean And nice beds
Upon entering hotel the check in was poorly run I attempted to use the self check in terminal But it informed me after several pages and key strokes that it was not working So got in line at the personnel check in. I stood for 22 minutes as the two people working the counter dealt with 2 customers The staff would not make eye contact with those of us in line Poor customer service training The staff should always acknowledge those waiting with eye contact and a few words Such as " we will be with you as soon as we can thankuou for your patience" They did not get anyone to come help and deal with the issues of the two people that were wanting satisfaction over their bill or Parking fee Etc. Just a poor introduction to a nicely appointed hotel

The helpfulness of the parking and baggage staff
