I liked that they responded quickly with the directions but the woman in the evening she said her name was :pamela" did not send me accurate information regarding registering so when I was relaly tired and wanted to go to sleep she made me fill out a long covid form when she should have sent the form with the directions in the first place.
The bathroom smelled of urine it wasn't clean. The room was not what was pictured in the photos-pamela put me in a room with men instead of the nicer dorm so the photos shopwn in my confirmation were different. There was a croatian guy living there who made so much noise he had absolutely no consideration for the other guests and at 5:50 am began making all kinds of noise in the room I asked him after 20 minutes to keep it down and he informed me that I WAS not the only one in the room while all of us were woken up by him and could not sleep. He was obnoxious and I was wearing earplugs. 5:51 am is when he decided to make noise in the room until 6am. This is not hostel etiquette and Pamela should be made to clean the bathrooms at night they were filthy.
Lady on the reception was very nice, and in general staff/volunteers are quite cool. I liked the fact that each bed has a curtain so you get a bit of privacy at least. Also I liked decoration, and location. It is in the main street of ZG so you can enjoy city in full both during the day or night.
Bed was rather unconfortable, at least for me. I felt wooden construction and in the morning my back muscles were stiff. Also shower cabins were small and dark, and sensor light turned off couple of times so in the end I took a shower in the dark.
Amazing staff, clean environment, perfect location.
I stayed just one night for a party :) Nice bar in the garden, a lot of facilities.
I was one of the first guests after corona lockdown (June 2020) and I need to say it was amazing! They had a perfect hygiene concept, it was clean and they took care about social distancing - even with staying in a shared dorm. I honestly recommend booking this hostel even now with corona! - The location of the hostel is amazing - you can walk everything you want but it’s still quite inside the room - it is clean and has more than normal hostels have, curtains on the bed, mirrors and table in the room, big lockers, bathroom in front of your room with hairdryer etc. - there is nothing missing. Also everything seems pretty new inside the room. - the pub is cool to hang around - best thing: the staff is amazing! They took time for recommendations, they’ve been all the time around and reachable, they have been open for a chat and they do know their city!
There is nothing to complain.
