Cons: I got fleas from the hotel room and the staff were unhelpful when i tried to check in. My friend had booked on kayak and I asked for the same rate she received, they said so, and quoted me a rate double that. Then when I started to use my phone to book online they said that they wouldn't honour an online booking because I first came as a walk in client. Ultimately, I booked on Kayak and they gave me a room, but it was an hour long ordeal at 10pm that no one needed.

Pros: The room rate for two twin beds is nearly twice the rate for a queen size bed. I was traveling with my adult children and selected the queen size bed for our two rooms. The hotel staff informed us that a queen size bed could only be occupied by a married (heterosexual) couple. Strange for a country in which most families live in a single room. The staff relented and we were permitted to make our own sleeping arrangements.

Pros: This hotel is really nice without the extravagance that comes with larger and overpriced big brand hotels. The staff here really aims to please. They will go out of their way to help make sure you have a great experience. Rooms are comfortable and the bar and restaurant are pretty good.
Cons: While my taxi from the airport found the Caravan Hotel no problem, other taxi drivers in town had no clue. Even though a had a card from the hotel with their address, multiple taxi drivers failed to locate the hotel. Also, the listed phone number for the hotel wasn't functioning so I was able to reach them to get directions. I would suggest that they print a small map on the back of their business cards!
