3.1 Mediocre
Pros: The staff
Cons: The Bedroom Unsafe plug sockets, lose from the wall Shower did not work No lock or effective means of closing the bathroom door Mould in the bathroom and evidence of leaking water near the bath Generally grubby

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing really, some staff were easy to talk to
Cons: My window was broke and would completely close or lock. The hallway outside room was disgusting it absolutely stunk people leaving bags of rubbish allowing it to smell. 4.8 Okay
Cons: Woke up to feeling as if I’m a sex working place. Dirty sheets all over the hall.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. We were attending a dinner at the hotel so it was very convenient. The event was successful and the food very good.
Cons: The doors to the function room needed oiling; they squeaked loudly every time someone entered or left the room and this was loud enough to distract from the speaker's talk. The hotel is situated in a suburb which might not attract holidaymakers.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great for what we wanted. One staff member was a little somber on reception but all others very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were first class with an excellent breakfast and great food served in the evening too. The hotel was spotlessly clean with bedroom and bathroom been spacious and comfortable. Would book again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: There was nothing to dislike except the beer!
Cons: No lift-The"smooth"beer is not a smooth beer(see Tetleys,John Smith's etc.)
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was the highlight and a very comfortable stay - thank you.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall feeling : I will definitely come back ! Front Desk staff is very kind and helpful, such as the breakfast team. Concerning restaurant they were a little bit clumsy, hesitating between tables to serve and one of them was also discussing our choice of plates. Actually we took one appetizer, one starter and one main course for two : my wife and I always share our stuff as we don't eat "that" much. So the guy was trying to rearrange our order, which not convenient (but not a huge problem neither). Standing ovation for Spiros who's so nice ! Breakfast was tastefull but I only regret the lack of Vegan alternative (I confess I'm a big fan of UK vegan sausage !); coffee was poor as in every hotel I stayed in the UK. Breakfast team is very kind and convenient : we came to the breakfast room like 5' before they closed because we messed up the timetable (thought it was until 10.30 but it was actually 9.30) but they let us in. Equipment : portable heating device, hair-dryer, iron + board are all in the room ! There are also extra board in the corridor. Cleaning : PER-FECT ! The cleanest hotel I stayed in Manchester and Stockport. Carpet everywhere in the room but cleaned and with fresh impression, no dust, no stains, so anything to complain about! Confort : overall, it was a great hotel. Just a few things I disliked (see below). Location : perfect for us ! 10' away from the center with Uber (cheaper than bus for a one-way ride). Price/quality : perfect ! As I said before, we will come back :)
Cons: For me, the bed was too hard and a bit too small. But that's personnal and I can be picky about that so no worries. The bath-tube was a bit too narrow but that's just a small detail too. The only real problem was the heating in the bathroom : it was very cold in there and there is no way to plug the heating device in or at least by the door. Basically it's the only negative point.
6.0 Good
Pros: It was really clean and the bed was super comfortable.
Cons: The decor is very dated throughout the rooms and corridors etc
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent weekend for friend's wedding. Alma Lodge did an amazing job for the happy couple. Enjoyed by all. Nice breakfast, plenty of choice.
Cons: Bar prices were a bit steep. Prices more suited to a country club.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely breakfast
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast and comfortable bed
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I was allowed into room earlier than the check in time which was really helpful of the management. The hotel is close to the train station in Marple - and the town centre just up the road. The management were friendly, but was able to maintain privacy in the hotel. My room was very comfy - simple but with everything required - kettle/sink etc, the room was really clean and shared bathroom likewise, lovely big old bath tub and shower too! The hotel is obviously well looked after, and cleanliness a priority. Overall the place had a cosy, welcoming feel to it. Marple and surrounding area are really pretty - lots of walking and outdoor exploration opportunities.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location clean big rooms and friendly staff
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was perfect for where we needed to be. Free parking. Staff were nice and efficient when we needed to change rooms because the window in our first room was broken and wouldn’t close.
Cons: Found the hotel to be cold. Beware of the steep climb up the stairs to the room. 2nd floor constantly smelt like a deep fat fryer. There was black mould growing up the wall in the corner of the shower tray (put me off wanting to shower at all). Breakfast was disappointing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good all rounder
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Sound proofing with room next door was poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location for the concert at the plaza cheap accommodation clean tidy
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resteraunt was very good, with exceptional food and wine, combined with good service in most cases it was a very nice stay and would certainly stay there again.
Cons: The room was a bit small, and the floor creaked, which caused the wardrobe to creak also. A couple of the young male bar staff, were a little cocky on a couple of occasions, first time was when I asked for a glass of house red wine after my dinner; the young lad, just said 'We don't do house wine' so when I questioned, this because it's what I had been requested on two occasions with my dinner, with no problem, he just said, 'I can't help that, we don't do house wine! Personally I found this a bit anti-social. The second occasion was when a friend of mine who I was having a drink with before dinner; my friend ordered a drink at the barn to have a similar issue with one of the young barmen, being a bit rood. To be honest it was a bit too much of a coincidence to me that two different barmen being a bit anti-social/cocky to patrons.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bar staff and the waiting staff where spectacular. Very warm friendly and inviting.
Cons: The bed was so uncomfortable. I am no stranger to a firm bed but I would have been better sleeping on the floor. The room I can only describe as being in the attic with an almost vertical staircase which was nearly impossible to get your luggage up and down. I have the highest mark for the staff as they were fabulous the bartenders and the waitress who seen to us for our evening meal. One of the managers on the other hand seemed to be a bit of a bully and it made for myself and my husband feeling a little awkward at times. He was no sooner arguing with the male bartender than making a young girl cry. The same young girl that gave us exceptional service at dinner. I believe this should never been seen by the customers. I did not find it very professional.

Pros: The breakfast team were so efficient.... slick even! Great leadership skills and teamwork going on here. Oh and the breakfast was good too.
Cons: We weren't told, and there was no signage to say so either, that breakfast was full in the usual area so overflow was in another restaurant. This meant we were in different restaurants looking for the other. That said we ended up in the overflow and as above the service was impeccable

Cons: We booked a suit got there realized it was small, stayed 2 nights and took an extra room.Day 3 we booked a two bedroom suit which really isn't it's just them bringing two rooms together. We were shown a suit with a balcony & since my artist is super claustrophobic and has a lot of luggage we agreed to that.Upon going to pay they claimed someone booked that particular room for 2 nights and we booked it right with them less than an hr ago for 3 nights. These super racist hotel people just because the person was black almost even lied they never showed us the room.We left the hotel and booked a huge 3 bedroom penthouse suit somewhere else.Mind u we had no issues we these people we just decided to leave after realizing it was more of a racist thing, I forgot to mention their services suck, they barely help with anything like umbrellas and opening doors smh we never even had a conversation with any one except the manager the day we left but go this email today claiming we were rude to their guests.

Pros: I loved the friendly and warm welcome from the reception staff. They were always so helpful throughout my 4 nights stay. My room was on the fourth floor and so comfortable and clean. The location was very central in Manchester. I was working long days but it felt wonderful to return at night to my cosy hotel room. I was working late and loved to be able to pop out for late night snacks nearby. This is a very traditional style hotel with lovely Victorian architecture which I admired. It gave me a new perspective on Manchester and I’d stay there again!

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The Midland Hotel is an impressive building in an excellent location. I found the staff invariably professional, courteous and attentive at all times, no matter what their area of expertise. My room was large, sumptuous and beautifully quiet. Ample desk and coffee table space with several arm chairs, and a dressing area, beyond which was the spacious en-suite bathroom. Plenty of available electrical outlets, good sized TV, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities and sparkly glassware rounded off the in-room facilities very nicely. Room service food was priced fairly and arrived promptly and piping hot.
Cons: There could have been better / more lighting in the dressing area in order to take advantage of the full length mirrors. And the air-conditioning controls were a bit fiddly to adjust - a remote control might have been a better option.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our teenage son didn't want to join us for breakfast one morning, I therefore asked the breakfast staff If I could take some croissants up to the room for him, of which they were more than happy for us to do.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: I booked the Clayton for my last night in the U.K. I wanted a comfortable room near the airport with free transport to and from the terminals and that’s what I got. The bed was the only letdown; I had two singles, and neither was very comfy...a bit hard and lumpy actually.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: really comfy beds + someone found me an electrical adapter
Cons: shuttle bus did not come
5.1 Okay
Pros: the drivers to the airport nice lads made an effort to connect. ( humans )
Cons: The reception didn’t tell us that breakfast was £2 less if we booked with them. £13 for a piss poor breakfast is a a lot of money, black pudding hard as steel and rest was testless so annoyed £27 for two wasted on the first day of my holiday. If it was £27 and really good I would have been upset but £27 and rubbish made me so annoyed. The coffee in Wetherspoons £1 is much better than this. The breakfast at Yates £3 with table service not buffet is better than this. Don’t evan ask about the price of drinks in the bar.

Pros: The location is perfect for the Manchester airport. We also chose it because of the dining options available, and we were not disappointed-excellent! The check in staff person was having some trouble with the computer, but it all worked out.
Cons: We had an odd experience of a maid service person entering our room without knocking or announcing herself at about 4:00 in the afternoon. It was a bit disconcerting.
