10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely charming old style hotel with lots of wood finishes around.
7.5 Good
Pros: Seaside views. Convenient parking. The staff was wonderful.
Cons: 40 years ago, this place must have been something. Today, it’s painful to see that time and the salt air has taken its toll. Too much deferred maintenance. Seaside locations are especially prone to the ravages of rust. The bathtub/shower setup invites flooding. Be careful, it’s not thought out well.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: nice room style
Cons: far away from the town center
7.1 Good
Pros: Private pool, private beach
Cons: Needs to be renovated, is a bit dated

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and helped us with the language barrier. The breakfast was great.
Cons: It was a little bit further out of town then we would have liked but we should have checked that ourselves
7.1 Good
Cons: We felt the matresses of the double and bunk beds were a bit uncomfortable...just a bit too hard for our liking. We were also disappointed with the lack of a lift...carrying suitcases of luggage up and down stairs is not ideal. Finally it was out firm opinion that the decor both inside and out needs investment to be more modern and appealing from its tired and dated image.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff smiling and helpful in the morning
Cons: The mattress too slim
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Everywhere
8.3 Excellent

Cons: Cost of food (bar snacks by pool) a rip off.

Cons: Nothing, it was great!
4.2 Okay
Pros: I’m certain at one time this facility was fabulous, currently it needs some updating and cleaning. The little details make a huge difference.

The bed and particularly the pillows were very comfortable, The room had a small balcony and we were able to sleep with the window open. Breakfast was fine, not special but overall a good hotel. Restaurants are a five minute drive away and the hotel will make recommendations.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous sea view rooms next to each other, both large and clean. We sampled the lovely pool bar cafe, breakfast and restaurant, which were all good and exceeded expectations from the below average ratings we had read. So glad we made the choice to choose this hotel in Anzio and only 10 mins from the war cemetery. Lovely staff.
Cons: I would have preferred easier access to the sea but it wasn’t hard really.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Proximity to airport
Cons: All the things you weren’t allowed to use or couldn’t. Wifi, swimming pool, own food or drink in your own room. Mould in shower. Shower doors appalling Very dated Lounge area has some beautiful aged furnishings but every window curtain is closed and no light gets in. Very oppressive Should only be 2 star rating
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view from the rooms to the sea was absolutely great. We had rooms in the building close to the sea, not the main hotel. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: Anzio center is 2 km away which you could see on the map when booking. However, it took a while to get information on taxis and buses and where to buy tickets. The buses run 2-3 times per hour, but getting information about the schedule and buying bus tickets in Anzio was cumbersome.
7.1 Good
Pros: The service people were good. the meal in the restaurant was good.
Cons: The man who checked us in was a bit arrogant. We booked a double room for me and my wife. The price given to us was 55 Euros. Upon arrival, we were told that was not the right price and 25 euros were added. either booking.com or the hotel misled us.
6.3 Good
Pros: A has been property a ladyfallen from grace. A great layout but needing Serious upgrading
Cons: Breakfast was dismal hot food cold And very sparse. I feel bad for staff seems they are just waiting for it to close.
7.9 Good
Pros: The view was wonderful, even from the pool deck. Nice place to stay.
Cons: May need better comfortable beds and renovating.

7.9 Good
Pros: room nice and clean but noisy ( from the Street below)
Cons: noisy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to the beach and train station. Nice cozy room, nothing fancy but clean and with air conditioning. Some people mentioned noise but we were situated next to the street with a separate entrance and we had no problems with any noise.
Cons: Needs a bit of renovating but nothing too bad.
7.9 Good

Casa Vacanze Elianto - Anzio - Bedroom
8
8.6 Excellent (220 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Casa Vacanze Elianto was built in the 1950s on order of Farouk of Egypt. The property is located on the Lazio Coast, 3 km from Anzio Train Station, with links to Rome. It offers rooms and self-catering apartments, some with views of the sea. This impressive building of 4 floors was completely refurbished in year 2000. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas, and free parking can be reserved. The accommodation includes traditional furniture, air conditioning, and tiled floors. The apartments are complete with kitchenette. The Elianto Casa Vacanze is near tennis, five-a-side football courts, and swimming pools. Restaurants and shops are also available in the area.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice staff. The location is great, because it is directly at the beach. The atmosphere has a certain flair but the last renovation has been sometime ago.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. We had a room with a large shared balcony and spent a lot of time sunbathing in that area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to check in and park.
Cons: We didn’t realize that we had to pay to use the beach right in front of the place but there was a public beach area not too far.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: good place, good sandy beach
Cons: it can be cheaper
7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the location! Unbeatable! Appropriately friendly staff Comfortable clean room
Cons: No accommodation flexibility on check in or check out times. Our water heater didn’t work so we had to take freezing showers or none at all, and no staff on site to switch to a different room with heated water.
7.5 Good
Pros: Wonderful location directly above the beach. We stayed in the Camelia apartment that had access to a big shared terrace with view towards the ocean. The exterior of the house is very nice and not just a big square house with apartments. It’s more like a big villa with small sets of steps leading to the different apartments and there are plants and flowers everywhere that makes it very cosy.
Cons: Run-down apartments that would need renovation. The same goes for the neughborhood in general and the facilities (restaurants, bars) along the beach. We, however, stayed here during low season in November. The area is probably more attractive in the summer.
7.5 Good
Pros: The accommodation was all set for 2 people (although there was a additional single bed), the kitchen had everything you need to cook a small meal. We had a balcony although not private. Ample parking space during off-season. Personnel was friendly and helpful but none spoke English.
Cons: The apartment is rather dark (not enough lights). Except for the cooker lights, the kitchen had no light at all, therefore not light enough for cooking, washing up. The building is not suitable at all for people with mobility problems (TOOOOO many stairs!!), the place seems to attract big groups of young people who do not care about other guests. there is a lift to go to the beach but it was not working (maybe because we where there in April). The place is close to Anzio (several good fish restaurants with decent price). The beach needed a clean up (probably not an issue during high season).

Pros: Breakfast was very good. Situation on the seafront was lovely. Hotel close to Anzio Colonia station.
Cons: Lack of tea/coffee making facilities, hot drinks not readily available. Anzio Colonia station much closer to our hotel but we were not informed of this so went to Anzio Station, on a Sunday, no taxis but luckily a kind man from the café next to the station offered to take us to the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great pool and great staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: basic but clean and comfortable room. very close to the beach. the garden is beautiful. the pool is great too, but we spent time at the beach. Yummy breakfast included.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location to get to beach or train, but far from shop or supermarket. Wonderful beach, super comfortable room and extremely clean.
Cons: The payment is not via booking.com, which causes extra costs for sending money. Not all taxes were included - tax for local commune was not included.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location just nearby the beautiful beach. Nice garden and swimming pool.
Cons: Water in swimming pool is salty.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment owner was very welcoming and helpful in providing storage for our cycles and for giving directions to local facilities. This included a bustling pizzeria, serving the local population, which was very accommodating and friendly.
Cons: Some distance from the centre of Anzio, though the town as a whole did not appeal to us very much from our cycle through.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, across the street from the beach. This area seemed to be where locals go to holiday, with few foreign tourists. It was also close to the train station.
Cons: As I mentioned, it was close to the train station, but it wasn't clear which one, so we got off one station passed where we should have--long walk and we never saw one taxi in this area. Also, the hotel only accepted cash in payment and the closest ATM was in Anzio, two train stops away. Most of the local businesses also only accepted cash. This isn't a problem, if you realize that in advance, it is when you rely mainly on credit cards when you travel. Also, you might need to use a translator ap as the owner/manager's English was very basic.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely owners and cute little rooms. Perfect for the beach.
Cons: Little far from the main town, though we had a car so was OK.
Hotel Lido Garda - Anzio - Building

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was perfect for what I was looking for. Everything was so clean and I have enough towels. The stuff had a great attention to detail, when I entered the room, the air conditioning was on; so the temperature was optimal, considering that there was a heat wave in the zone. Also, there was a bootle of water On the chest next to the bed :) The location was optimal as the beach was in front of the hotel. I would definitely 100% recommend this place and return back. Thanks!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Little, perfect quiet hotel just next to the sandy beach. Excellent for weekend.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff who gave us a free upgrade as it was out of season!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely and the beach was straight across the road
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful Great location for the beach
Cons: The air condition was only on at certain times. The lighting in the bathroom was not great
4.2 Okay
Pros: very close to the beach and train station
Cons: The room looked very old and with not a nice smell and I don't think it matches with 90 EUR/night. Breakfast was very poor in choices. "We speak your language" it's just a phrase as no one is speaking English
Alba Chiara - Anzio - Building
13
9.0 Excellent (80 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Set in a quiet residential area in Anzio, Alba Chiara offers free Wi-Fi and an elegant en suite room with flat-screen TV. The closest beach is 4 km from this B&B. The room at the Alba Chiara has views of the garden. A sweet Italian breakfast is served daily in a shared area. Free on-site parking is also provided. This bed and breakfast is a 10-minute drive from the centre of Nettuno, while Rome can be reached in 40 minutes by car.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: large rooms
Cons: We stayed there one night. Checked in and went out. When came back around midnight, there were 2 aggressive but small dogs released in the yard that would not let us enter the house and the owners were away. We called they did not answer, after texting and waiting for 45 minutes, the owner sent his very angry son over to take the dogs away. There were no apologies. The person who came to take the dogs away pretended that we told them the keys don't work, so he started explaining in Italian how to use a key! When we said about the dogs again, he just said "Piccolo" which means small in Italian and went to his room upstairs and slammed the door. Very rude owner. Air conditioning was a small fan which did not help. little variety for breakfast. 1 espresso capsule per person. Owners do not speak English. Pool can be used at limited hours for 10 Euros extra per person. Many better options in the region.
5.4 Okay
Pros: it was clean
Cons: we picked the Alba Chaira because of the description of the property and the fact it had a pool and secure parking. When we arrived we were told to leave our car outside of the property on a shared entrance with next door . we couldn't go into the property to turn round and had to back out on to a busy main rd , which was quite nerve racking. The accommodation was very dark but it was very clean.our room also had the smallest shower i have ever seen. The pictures of the property show the lovely pool and pool area and the description clearly states that Guests can use the pool but this is not the case. my wife and i went in the pool for a swim, the owner of the B&B came and stared at us ,i said hello and he ignored me twice. He then phoned his wife who came and told us we were not allowed in the pool, she said it was to deep, how ridiculous. When i told her that the only reason we booked it was because of the pool and it is advertised as having a pool she got annoyed and said that OK stay in the pool then. The attitude of the owners made us feel very uncomfortable and ruined the last part of our holiday. It says that there are garden views but the view from the window is of concrete and a Builders merchant next door,. You also get woken up early by the noise from the builders merchant. There is a kitchen in between the 2 guest rooms but there is a sign that says you are strictly not allowed to use it. There is also a sign stating you are strictly not allowed to use the pool or the pool area, so be warned. The owners made us feel that we were intruding in their home, I would not recommend any one to stay there
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner is great
Cons: The owner had a domestic disturbance / argument with man friend for 9 to 10 PM
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host, Barbara, was extremely welcoming & the location/room/facilities were all great. Perfect location for visiting the Museums. Within walking distance the local fish restaurant, Tutto Pesce, lovely atmosphere & excellent food.
Cons: Not applicable - everything was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It looks like a brand new property - a 2 suite B&B on the ground floor of the owner's home. Lovely. As clean as can be. Our suite was private and spacious. We were the only guests that night, so we had sole use of the shared kitchen/eating area. There is secure parking behind a large gate. Sadly, our visit in mid May was before the lovely pool was filled and operable. That would be a big bonus. It's an easy drive to get to downtown Anzio with the harbour and seafood restaurants. If you wanted to take a bus into Rome (which we didn't), I'm guessing it would be about a 45 minute trip.
Cons: The address wasn't found by our GPS, but after calling, the hosts stood by the road to wave us in. Turns out we were very close. No big deal. Just saying.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious
Cons: Only italian speaker

Pros: friendly staff
Cons: quality of breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our comfortable room was across the road from the beach which looked like it might be possible to walk for miles however, we arrived on a wet day for just one night. The bed and particularly the pillows were very comfortable, The room had a small balcony and we were able to sleep with the window open. Breakfast was fine, not special but overall a good hotel. Restaurants are a five minute drive away and the hotel will make recommendations.

Pros: The rooms and the very large balcony. The breakfast was great (good vegan alternatives, and gluten free). The staff is very kind. Anzio is a gem without massive hotels and tourists in millions.
Cons: The juice at the very good breakfast tasted only artificial.
