Overview

Right in the centre of Arad, the Best Western Central Hotel, Arad, Romania, is a comfortable hotel with spacious, well-kept and comfortable rooms throughout, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant serving a varied international menu, and conference rooms for meetings and private events. The city's shops, theatres, banks and transport links all lie within easy walking distance, making a handy base for both work and city sightseeing. The grand old avenues and the river promenade begin right outside the door. Arad is a graceful city in western Romania on the Mureș river, close to the Hungarian border. Wide avenues lined with elegant neoclassical and Secession-era facades sweep grandly through the leafy centre, a huge 18th-century star-shaped fortress guards the far bank of the river, and the rolling Miniș vineyards, among Romania's oldest wine country, spread into the green hills just nearby. Riverside parks, cafés and grand old theatres fill the lively town.
