Arles hotels near Musee Reattu

Pros: Breakfast was great. We also received discounts for some of the sites we visited by showing them a wrist band the hotel gave us.

Cons: I had paid for un upgrade before arriving in order to get two (2) Queen or two Full size beds. We were given a room with one full size bed and one twin bed. Secondly, We were informed that the air conditioning was "finished". I don't know if that meant that all air conditioners were broken or shut off for the season as it did apply to all the rooms. Consequently the room was stuffy. There are no screens on the windows so we didn't want to leave the window open at night and risk bug bites. It was October and cool but the Relative Humidity was in the high nineties (95+%).

Pros: The location was great, it was close to everything. The staff were very helpful and we were able to print our train tickets in the lobby. The room was large and the beds comfortable. I really liked the bathroom, very clean and the shower was big for France.

Cons: There were only stairs up to our room, I'm glad we did not have heavy suitcases.

Pros: Location excellent, humorous and kind staff.Breakfast is delicious.

Pros: Nicely placed in the center of town. Loved the room and the historic feel of the place.

Cons: Toilet space was cramped. A bit difficult to get to (GPS / Google Maps may take you on impassible roads) and no real parking on the premises - long walk to public parking.

Pros: Lovely room and great bathroom; plenty of sockets, very good Wi-fi. Breakfast was great unless you are coeliac (see below). Whole building has a lovely old fashioned atmosphere. Location is excellent, accessible from the station and in the heart of the old town. There was a problem with the main light in our room which was fixed quickly and courteously.

Cons: Our room (4) was right on the street and each morning at about 5.30 the bin lorry zoomed past my right ear. It also didn’t feel very private so we generally kept the window shut. The hotel didn’t provide any gluten free bread but eventually produced some crackers which were tasteless and unappetising. A long way short of other hotels which we have stayed in.

Pros: The position is great, in front of the river. Free parking is 300m away. The room is clean and welcoming, very warm and cozy. The staff is friendly and available. Very good breakfast. I would choose this hotel again.

Pros: The location was great. Free parking was a five minute walk away.

Cons: The room was not much bigger than the bed. My wife and I had to maneuver around each other just to get to the bath. Everything was the least that could be done, no hot water for coffee or tea, not even a second card key. The walls are so thin that we sometimes thought someone was entering our room when they were actually in the next room.

Pros: Location is great for visiting all the sights in Arles. It is by the Rhone and just few minutes walk to 2 of the Van Gogh paintings sites. Nearby there is a small fresh produce market in the morning.

Cons: No tea / coffee making facilities in the room.

Pros: The owners are very friendly and so helpful. The location is great, nice view over the river. Quiet too and close to the station/gare. It must be the cleanest hotel I have stayed in! Breakfast was fresh and very good.

Cons: Couldn’t have been better. Tip: Ask for the Arles historic pass. It gets you in all the historical sites for one price. Buy at the sites.

Pros: Staff was wonderful; he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our trip. Location; we had a view of the river and it was absolutely fantastic.

Pros: Good breakfast and reasonably priced. Great location within walking distance to the train station and right across from a trail along the Rhone River. Hotel staff were very helpful with providing directions to our next destination.

Cons: Room did not have air conditioner and it was rather warm overnight.

Pros: Staff were helpful and really friendly; made us feel valued and welcomed, also gave us dinner recommendations that were AMAZING (thanks again for that!) The room itself was super cute; the terrace is gorgeous if you like to sit with a coffee in the quiet. Also loved the resident chickens coming to say hello! Shower was POWERFUL which is awesome and the whole room was clean and bright. Breakfast was ideal too. Just a peaceful, happy place and we wish we had more time to stay!

Cons: There was some mix up with our room allocation and we ended up with a very small room.

Pros: Quiet location close to Arles, centrally located in the Provence. Outdor swimming pool on property still operating in late September, with very pleasant weather during our stay.

Pros: We loved our stay here. The owner and his employees were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, easy access and free parking. A great place to settle in and explore the surrounding area. Clean and modern room with cozy public areas. Highly recommend.

Pros: The location was a great way to get into the old city across the bridge. Parking was available and it was easy to get back on the highway. The staff were very helpful in giving us tips for sightseeing.

Cons: Room was very small...was have liked a larger space to put out our suitcases.

Cons: The hotel is designed to blend in with the old surrounding buildings. This is so successful that I drove past twice without seeing it. A sign would help!

Pros: The Jules Cesar is located close to the Alycamps Roman Cemetery and within easy walking distance of Old Arles, with its cafes and restaurants. The building itself is a former convent, so is attractive with a lovely cloister and central herb garden. There's a pleasant garden area at the rear of the property, where the small pool is located.

Cons: Sadly, the hotel seems to be trading off past glories. Whilst the staff are very pleasant, the hotel itself feels nothing like a Five Star establishment. Our first room was poky and dark with a tiny window - and for reasons I will never understand, we had been placed in what was clearly a room that was adapted for wheelchair use (neither of us are wheelchair users), with a rail around the toilet and a shaving mirror at hip height. Further disappointments ensued when the hot water stopped working on the morning of Day 2, and my husband trod on a nail that was sticking upright from the bathroom threshold strip. We reported both problems straight away, but nothing had been resolved when we returned in the evening, nor - despite a second request - when we went out to dinner and came back at 20.30. The upshot was that we had to re-pack our bags and move to another room at 21.00 - not exactly a restful experience, and one which was dealt with very casually by the front desk. This second room was larger and better lit, but was painted entirely crimson, so it was like sleeping inside a pancreas (the Christian Lacroix décor is really quite tacky)...there was a small chair with a ripped cover in one corner, but nowhere for two adults to sit and read apart from on the bed or windowsill. The bathroom was fairly grim, with a wobbly, square black toilet seat that kept threatening to detach itself, and a black basin and bath which showed up every trace of soap or toothpaste, so looked horrible unless the cleaner had just been in. We didn't bother with breakfast as there are so many places nearby, nor with dinner as the dining room looked fairly devoid of atmosphere when we looked in. The bar was almost never staffed, so we didn't even have a drink there. When we looked at the bill, we could do nothing but give a hollow laugh. It was a ludicrous amount of money to have spent on a very lacklustre experience. We'll never go back.

Cons: Where do I start-outrageously priced, garishly decorated rooms, smell of stale cigarettes, minuscule bathroom, some off-hand staff, meant to be a 5* establishment, but frankly that is ludicrous.

Pros: Our poolside room was very comfortable. I had (unwittingly) booked a superior room, and for the difference in price between that and the standard room, the extra cost was well worthwhile. The towels were excellent. The staff were very attentive. We were in Arles during the Feria du Riz, when the noise in the centre at night was trying; the Mireille was very quiet and peaceful.

Cons: As on a previous occasion, one was aware that there was no extractor fan in the toilet. The bathroom floor and the bath itself were slippery.

Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly, there was a lovely pool available and quiet relaxation places around the garden.

Cons: The rooms would benefit from drink making facilities ,tea and coffee etc, and also a mini fridge to store personal grocery items, milk, water, wine etc. None of the cupboard doors closed properly and nor did the toilet door. This was mentioned during our stay.

Pros: Room was small, but recently renovated. Bathroom was ok, comfortable, neat, renovated. Close to downtown
