Great Location, Okay Accomodations
I loved that the hotel was two blocks from Syntagma square - which is a main centre of town. There are many shops and restaurants nearby and it is walking distance from the Acropolis. The linens were generally clean and we had adequate lighting.
The room smelled like smokers had stayed there before us. Athens smells like that overall but I was hoping we'd have a hotel that would relieve us of the smell of cigarettes. We decided not to shower there as well because the shower head had calcium buildup on it and we didn't want to irritate our skin with the water. We were only there one night so it was fine, but I could imagine this being terrible for some one with an extended stay.
Excellent value in the heart of historic Athens
Celebrating a big anniversary with 2 days in Athens before a Mediterranean cruise in July 2016. This was the perfect place to stay and see the city. 50 Euro flat fee for taxi from the airport. 40 Euro taxi fee to the cruise terminal from hotel. Taxi stand was just 25 meters from front door with at least 10 taxis waiting for fares. The hotel was also a short walk to public transit and the Acropolis complex of historic museums and grounds. Restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping are all around you. Very safe neighborhood. The breakfast offered an excellent variety of hot and cold meats, eggs, cheeses, pastries, fruit. Fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent. Loved the stylish decor in our room, halls and elevators. Linens were very nice. Friendly helpful staff.
It took me a minute to figure out the 5 different valves on our shower and the water wasn't instantly hot when we arrived in early afternoon. Some water leaked out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. No view from our window but I would expect to pay more for that feature. Bar of soap was too small.
Great room, great location, great price.
I was knocking on the door at 11 pm and no one would answer. I had no idea that the reception was in another building across the street.
This family-friendly Athens hotel is located in the historical district, steps away from Maria Callas Museum, Syntagma Square and Ermou Street. Hellenic Parliament and Roman Agora are also within 10 minutes. Syntagma Station is 5 minutes by foot and Monastiraki Station is 7 minutes.
