Friendly staff, very clean and very good breakfast.
Staff can be a bit abrupt but on the whole are helpful
i recomend it to anyone, the staff was very friendly and helpful.this hotel is fine
Good value and location, reasonably close to old town Rhodes ( 15 min walk) and restaurants, but in quiet area of new town. Breakfast buffet was best we had in Europe. Plaza travel desk was very helpful. Ceiling in shower had mold on it. Parking a problem if you have a car.
location We did not like the fact that the pool towels were dirty on 3 seperate occasions & a pillow slip was also dirty with what appeared to be dry blood on it and took 3 phone calls to change this. The male staff were very lax but both girls on reception, particulary Elizabeth were very helpful. The pool staff were too busy or not interested in empty bottles of water and coke cans being used as diving devices by the children who were not being supervised by their arrogant parents, which lead us to reducing the frequency of use of what was a good pool in a very good location. Airconditionng in the rooms needs to be looked at as when we set it up at 10 celsius for 5 days straight non stop and both my wife and I slept with no covers
Good place, in the middle of town. Good breakfast with a chef to make omelette of your choise etc. Thanks! The bed was hard, like laying in the floor. Unfortunately that's my experience of all beds in Greece - those are hard or really hard.
The staff were very friendly. The location was excellent. The shower/bath tub did not drain properly.
great location, delicious foods, clean and good price...
The location and the food The rooms with garden view look directly in the windows of other hotel, while the rooms from the other side are directly over a street, so it can be very noisy
Breakfast could have been better
Well located for Rhodes Town, Old Town and Beaches. Nice pool at the rear also.
location building site at the back.
the hotel is situated very well, the atmosphere and the apartments are of high standard, the apartment was quiet though located in the heart of the town no
Air conditioning; free LAN in room (or WiFi in Lobby); comfy beds; block out curtains; quiet location; elevator; TV; very spacious - a small self-contained apartment (kitchen, not laundry); phone in room; really cheap promotional rate - was excellent value for money; located in central part of Old Town Missing fixtures and fittings (like the builders forgot to finish putting air con grate over hole in wall!) etc; staff were a little bit reluctant to tend to reception
Close from the old city, mini market, restaurants, car location, beaches. Fair price and clean.
Food and cleanliness Staff were not helpfull and pool the reason we stayed was small and cramped for room
Excellent rooms. Beatiful sea views.
Its a decent stay, the staff is helpfull and location perfect,hb was good dinner was gr8 A lot of little things that could be fixed but are not
Both my husband and I truly enjoyed the locality of the hotel-and the fantastic views we had from our hotel room which was on the top floor and facing the beach -we were very happy with the staff there for their friendly nature every time we needed assistance
breakfast and handy location to all rhodes activities
we live in rhodes and wanted to stay somewhere will a lovely view of th ocean, which we did it was lovely. The standard of the room was good also. All the communal areas and around reception were very attractive upon entry to the hotel.
It is located close to the city center with a beautiful view to the sea
Service, all staff, bed and room were excellent. Range of food was good, as was the quality There is no hotel car park, the opposite of that stated in your description. Street parking only is available, but is usually full as it is in front of the beach.
I liked everything.... The employees have a friendly approach to guests.
The location of the hotel was excellent for both shopping and culture in the old and new towns, also the room we were allocated on the 6th floor was excellent. Beach location. Friendly staff on reception and in the dining room, enjoyed it so much we decided to stay an extra 3 nights.
check-out room, bed, comfort, bathroom, staff, .....
Facilities, Location, Rooms
very clean and modern hotel! everything was perfect and the staff were very helpful! lies near both the city, beach and restaurants! nothing actually!
We have particulaarly enjoyed staying at family-run, boutique hotels. The Atlantis City Hotel was not exception. Staff were efficient and very helpful. The contemporary decor had clean lines and was particularly inviting. Breakfast was served in an airy, clean room. The hotel location was a perfect walking distance from all beaches as well as the old town and there were a number of inviting restaurants nearby.
It is quite new and in one of the few free parking streets of the city, close to the ancient city. Very noisy street at night. No locker for luggage.
The friendliness of the staff and their willingness to assist in everything. A fully trained staff ready to assist at any time with their profound professionalism. No need to mention the absolute cleanliness of the room and of the premises too. A place with a warm atmosphere that one can relax from the first moment they arrive in. Last but not least, although the hotel is situated in the town center of Rhodes during the night it is absolutely quite and away from any kind of noise.
extremely good value
Everything was ok, rooms are bit small and balcony is only for drying towels two people cant fit there. Staff is excellent and breakfast too. there is no terminal for credit cards so be careful lady on front desk took photocopy of my credit card and ask me for signature and ccv number on the copy. It is same like gave her keys from bank safe.
Centrally located, nice clean rooms, Stergios the bartender
The position of the hotel is excellent the breakfast is superb. It is an overall great hotel deal including the low price we paid and very clean indeed. Also the staff was pretty helpful. It is a new hotel and small problems occur. But nothing too important.
Fantastic location between old town and new town.Friendly helpful staff.Great outdoor pool. Poor inconsistent food quality. We only ate at breakfast but need more choice.Poor value.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Nothing was any trouble. Ideally located for old town (charming) and new town (not so charming but with plenty of good restaurants and shops.
Next to the ancient castle and behind there was a ancient ruins which was so impressive.. Interior design of Hotel was so cozy and stunning..
location, pool, spa It's very expensive for what it is, but it's partly because of weak dollar
The location was perfect. The areas were very modern and comfortable.
The location was perfect to visit the old city of Rhodes.
Location was good, front office dpt as well. Hotel standards used to be better in the past. Cleaning of the rooms is not enough. A hotel that says to be a 5 star should keep the same standards all over the year even if located in a summer resort. Also the size of the standard room bathrooms is extremely small. As they can not make bigger the bathrooms (because the room space is already limited) they should relace bathtubes with modern shower cabins. For sure this hotel has 5 star touches but its not overall.
The location close to the centre of Rhodes town was excellent. The facilities at the hotel were good with a pool set in nice landscaping and pool side bar and bistro. We were alocated room 319 and noticed that we had an internal connecting door to the adjoining room. While we would normally avoid such a siuation we felt that given the hotels luxury rating that the sound reduction between the two rooms would be OK. Unfortunately over the course of the week we found this not to be the case with simple conversations next door being clearly audible from the adjoining room.
Very clean, smart modern hotel with helpful staff. Our (standard) room was pleasant and well appointed with a kettle & tea & coffee (although we had to request refills each time). The breakfasts were excellent with an extensive buffet & other items on request. The location was excellent, just outside the walls of the old town & convenient for lots of restaurants. We were sorry that the swimming pool was really too cold for comfort (in the 2nd week of October). It was a beautiful pool and it would have been worth heating it for the shoulder months. We didn't try eating at the hotel & indeed didn't see any other guests trying it either. Judging from the room service menu, it appeared very expensive. It would have been worth the management offering some incentive to make use of the large dining room.
The staff couldn't be more helpful or pleasant. The pool area was lovely. Our evening meal at the restaurant was disappointing - my salmon was very over cooked and therefore tough, my husband received the wrong meal entirely - surprising as we were two of only six in the restaurant. The TV and radio channels on offer were very poor for English speakers.
Space, setting and location, pool, bed and staff Nothing
Loved it all. Only problem was the ac was weak.
Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered great choice of foods - fruit, vegetables, eggs, fresh Greek pastries. Staff were friendly, recognized me by sight after a couple of days, and went out of their way to assist me in obtaining a travel adapter (electric). Some of the facilities that are provided free in other hotels - though perhaps not in Rodos - entailed additional charge, such as room safe and internet access. TV was very small (17"?), reception was poor and the channel selection very limited.
I liked the calm atmosphere, the pool and the garden (very weel curated). The breakfest is also good. The swimming pool open times too short in the evening.
Fantastic pools and amenities.I Would clasify this hotel as an all inclusive. be prepared to take transport to old town which is easy by city bus. (wach out for the taxis they will rip you off) do you know why there are no Pirates in Greece. They all drive Taxi. Paying 14 Euro for the wifi I think is outragous this should be free. At an all inclusive type hotel such as this.
The pool area and the restaurant - pool are was open late for early birds:) I requested for no-smoking room and you could clearly smell the tobacco in the room
The pool and facilities. We could not sleep because the beds were so hard and uncomfortable. My body was actually sore in the morning from the hard bed. The lounge chairs at the pool would have been a better place to sleep as far as comfort was concerned. Not enough umbrellas around the pool.
Hotel lay out (pool area particularly) good choice of restaurants, refreshments. Proximity to Rhodes town. Very friendly and courteous staff, hotel obviously very well maintained.Air conditioned rooms a bonus
I greatly appreciated the room size and the fact that it was very clean. I also appreciated very much the fact that the ladies at the reception were always ready to help the client in the best way they could. The breakfast was also great. I did not appreciate that people were reserving the lounge chairs at the pool for hours without sitting there, I believe that hotel staff should enforce the rule of not reserving with a towel the poool lounge chairs...
Friendly and fast service. Easy comunication with staff. For Rhodos town, one of the best choices / locations - value for money. Definitely would stay again in the future. Hotel renovated but had old fan coil system instead of a/c in rooms, got quite hot in the mornings in room facing sunrise but staff immediately moved us to another room upon our request which didn't face the sun in the mornings >> problem solved.
The facilities are wonderful. They have a beautiful pool with several poolside cafes to choose from. The rooms were very basic and the beds were so hard and uncomfortable. It was very difficult to sleep in their beds and our whole group felt the same way.
The pool was very nice. The staff were a little rude when we pointed out that the air con was not working. We were told that it was working although the boss told off her staff in Greekthat clients should not be told that there is any issue with the a/c. Unfortunately for her I speak Greek and I pointed out to her in Greek that honesty would have been a better option. She didnt bother apologising.
We stayed for 5 nights in a grand suite with private pool and the room was excellent! spacious, lavish and well designed. The hotels beach was very nice. Definitely not a"couple orieneted hotel".We have never seen so many kids wandering around every single corner of the hotel. Both restaurants lacked in service and quality! Even to find a fork or a cup for coffee you had to wait for 15 minutes! The dresscode in "Alazonia" restaurant was ridicullus after all
The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The price was very good considering how nice the room was.
Very good hotel. The deluxe room + see view is amazing. Food was good Gym is lack of equipment and old. Wifi is not that good.
Pleasant staff, beautiful view, on the beach, beautiful and spacious common rooms.
It was beautiful and a great location for us. nothing
a super average hotel and definitely not a five star. 3 at best. only go if you're going with family or kids. Not for couples looking for something romantic or relax. Buffett is below 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. Gym is a 1 (being 1 the lowest). Swimming pool is full of clorine (normal with so many kids) and beach is so so and in the bad side of the island, unless you want to be close to the old town that is worth a 1 day visit only cause it's so commercial due to the amount of cruises bringing one day visitors that the whole town although a wonder in terms of architectures it is ruined looking like a souk. Better go to Symi or Kos
The location is beautiful, right on the seaside. The facilities offered by the hotel and the friedly personel make sure that the guests have a most relaxing holiday. I would also like to stress the high quality of the buffet breakfast and dinner.
Very Clean .. Great Breakfast Poor Security ... you can access the hotel without passing through reception. You can have breakfast without being a guest in the hotel - you are not asked for your name and room number to confirm you are actually a guest. It is possible to freely use the pool area and sunbeds without being a guest at the hotel ( I witnessed this every day ). Very annoying after paying a lot to stay there
The hotel was gorgeous and the pools and reception were breathtaking. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good also. The staff around the pool areas were very few and we had to go in person to order. The hotel made a mistake with our booking and said that Bookings.com did not provide them with the reservation receipt, we hence had to wait a while before given a room.
It was a luxe hotel, luxe room, seaview and pool wonderfull, everything very much OK! breakfast was very good and various, but every morning we had to beg for coffee!!why not a coffeemachine (douwe egberts?) or a thermoscan????it was 'the quest for coffee' every morning!
Absolutely stunning hotel, we had a suite with a private pool for a perfect honeymoon. Fantastic and plentiful breakfast in the suite-residents-only restaurant which offers beautiful views of the ocean. Free arrival drinks/cocktails/evening dinner as honeymooners which was very welcome although they forgot the 'flower decoration on arrival'. Excellent air con, huge room with jacuzzi in bathroom. Peaceful & relaxing. 10 minute bus ride (€2.10) or taxi (€10-14) to stunning Rhodes Town. We went bed and breakfast but the sumptuous 5 course dinner menu is only €15 a head; highly reccomended. The hotel also has a virtually private section of beach which is very pleasant whilst the rest of Ixia's beach backs directly onto a busy road. The staff, although polite, were not the quickest. Service at the pool bar/restaurant took ages; up to 15-20 minutes to get drinks, even longer for food. It also took quite some time to get service at the reception too. We also got fed up with noisy cleaners in the morning! There is very little other than a couple of supermarkets and downmarket restaurants/bars in walking distance, even these are situated right on a very busy, noisy road. If you like to venture out of your hotel, get a taxi/bus to Rhodes Town which is absolutely stunning. Ixia itself has suffered very badly with the economic crisis and it's not great. The hotel has a very well stocked bar, but the cocktails are unfortunately badly made and very expensive; €9-10 each.
The location was great, near to both the beach and the old town, and although it was central I found it to be quite quiet at night. The staff were helpful and the room was always clean for when I came back from a day out. Great air con too ;)
Another very pleasant stay. All was in order. Thank you.
Location: walking distance to bus station, old town, acropolis, shopping, restaurants, sights. All hotel staff, exceptionally friendly and accomodating.
Location The room was dirty - we actually saw fleas! The side table was broken, one of the lights did not work and the balcony door would not shut properly because the handle was broken. This hotel needs a complete refurbishment.
the staff exellent!! the lift.
Hotel is in a good location handy for both the new town and the historical areas of Rhodes Town. The hotel serves a good breakfast in a pleasant area with a patio. We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and found it quite well maintained. However, since then, it appears to have become a bit rundown. We had a problem with the lock on our bedroom door, and found ourselves locked out of our room on one occasion, and locked in on another. We couldn't contact reception for help as the phone in the room didn't appear to be connected.
I liked the friendly staff who all tried hard to help my family during our holiday in Greece.
the staff's friendliness an dthe fact that the hotel is really centrally located sometimes traffic noise can get a bit overwheliming, but that's hard to avoid in the middle of Rhodes
good value and the breakfast was better than most lower budget hotels- i loved the closeness to transport links-ferry and buses unfortunately ,my room balcony faced a half built block and also behind the garden, building was in progress but who spends their holiday in their room
Very Friendly and helpful staff. Very good value with a satisfying breakfast, great location well sited for harbour and ferries.
The beach, the pool area and the fitness area The stuff was not friendly at all. I have recivied not a good room and wanted to change a better one. They havn't solved my problem for five days, but I was staying one week in the hotel and I was asking them at least three times a day!
Room service personnel was ok Hotel urgently needs refurbushment! Breakfast quality needs update!
Customer focus, good atmosphere and great facilities. Excellent fitness facilities ... set menu in restaurant, not particularly friendly to children
Fairly spacious room, great swimming pools with ample sunbeds. restaurant good, too.
The position of the hotel, the breakfast, politeness of staff and the view The cleanliness of the room, old ferniture, the hotel needs redecoration
I stayed at Amathus with a friend. We was looking for a relaxing holiday, with sun, swimming and some luxus. The choice of hotel was excellent for us. Peacefull, not overcrowded, nice swimmingpool's (specially the one at the 11'th floor), and the beach just 50m away. We choosed to hire a bungalow, and that was a good choice. The room was not very luxuary, and we did not have any view over the sea. Still it was nice, clean and we was lucky to get one at 2'nd floor and did not have any "traffic" of other guest outside the balcony. The breakfast was really good, and the staff was lovely and smiling in the breakfast resturant. For dinners and drinks we went to Rhodes town, while espesially drinks was very expensive at the hotel. The staff at the 11'th floor pool resturant was not very nice. Never a smile and problems while we would like a table where we could enjoy the lovely view over the see. Was also a little disapointed over the standard of the bungalow. Had expected moore luxus on a 5 star hotel.
very clean, receptionist was very friendly and helpful.Restaurant was very good. Entire atmosphere was very good.
My experience of my visit was excellent in all ways. A special regards to all restaurant stuff including pool staff. No
The staff is v ery attentive and efficient; the infrastructures of the hotel are superb; the SPA is great. The only remark is for the sofa/bed in the Family Room: is siutable only for kids and is very unconfortable. The sofa bed in the family room.
breakfast was included in the price - food was good; Greek dancers on Sunday night - excellent! Using your room key to keep the power on in the room.
The friendly and helpful staff who provided very good customer service. Hotel rated as 5 star, but really is not. An appropriate description would be serviced apartments. Also bed was not a double but twin beds.
The downstairs public space is modern and bright, the pool is large, the staff are helpful. Suites useful if you have small children or a group of students as they consist of a double bedroom, kitchen area (no kettle), and a sitting roon with 2 sofas that convert into beds (a bit like caravan beds). We were expecting a 5* hotel, this is not. I would say it was a 3* in the public spaces and a 2* in the rooms. We thought we were getting a Deluxe 2 bed apartment, it was not Deluxe. The beds are hard, the cheap metal furniture is uncomfortable and the repainted baths look grubby. They had turned off the aircon so we found it hot at night and were unable to sleep with the windows open as the traffic noise from the street was really loud. Had we not been expecting 5* we would not have been so disappointed with the hotel. The paper notices and menus stuck on the walls of the lift should have given us a clue as we went up to our room and the grubby hall carpet should have been another give away that we were not ascending into the lap of luxury
