Cons: Everything was great, except our bag took well over an hour to be delivered to our room after check-in. Kids wanted to go swimming and I didn’t have their togs. Had I known, I would have just taken the bag myself. That’s the only disappointment we had.

This meant waiting to see that I hadn't trashed the room - a tad inconvenient and seems odd that they can debit the card account but can't credit the account. Otherwise a comfortable, pleasant, and enjoyable stay.

Cons: In both times we stayed at the hotel no one helped us with our luggage driving in, we had to ask. Having to pay parking on top of our accommodation is an absolute joke! This needs to be shared with people before they book. After our first stay we organized our second stay room in which we were given a room with a better view of Queen St. once we arrived this was not the case and we were given the same room we had in our first stay. Food at Katsura was great however very over priced. Indian man with glasses at atrium bar was lovely and very helpful with our young son.

We were asked if we wanted breakfast in the morning for a special deal but had to have it for both nights at $120 for 2 which we agreed to after the first morning breakfast we were not impressed it was below average by far , we asked if we could not get it the next day as it was very below average they said no so that was disappointing . We won’t be staying back at the Pullman expecally for the price which we have stayed in other hotels in Auckland with far better rooms/services for less $$ . and the cleanliness of the room wasn’t that good standard there was a pair of dirty socks behind the curtains .

Pros: The room was dark at night and the bathroom was a good size.
Cons: The property is dated. The carpet and decor in the halls and rooms are dated and tired. The door to the balcony didn’t close properly and let in a draft. Considering it’s supposed to be one of Auckland’s best hotels and you pay a premium for a room, this is disappointing. The lobby bar was understaffed in the morning and the one barrister/sever was clearly stressed and there was a wait for service and food (not her fault - the hotel should have more staff). This is unacceptable for a high quality hotel. On the Saturday we were there the live music at the hotel bar was dreary and depressing, and we ended up going elsewhere for a drink. The high price you pay doesn’t match the service/standard of the hotel in reality.

Pros: I had the pleasure of staying in a newly renovated room - they look great, and the layout is well considered and functional. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent. I didn't want to leave and would happily stay here again.

Pros: Our intercity bus dropped us off one block away and the airport Sky Bus picked up outside the front door! Down Queen St is everything you want in central Auckland. Our mini suite was clean and spacious. There is some street noise so not great for light sleepers but, it didn't bother us. Lamb shanks for dinner in the lobby restaurant were delicious!

Pros: Everything was excellent, being recently re-furbished so some facilities not available however every effort had been made so that visitors were not inconvenienced. Rooms were like new. Only two suggestions would be to have a bigger shower curtain so that the cubicle is fully enclosed and a full length mirror is always welcome. Will definitely stay again and definitely recommend. Thank you. PS aftercare service amazing too as phone charger left in room and no problem at all to locate and return to us.

Cons: I encountered a couple of small housekeeping issues, but these were quickly resolved.
