Did not get up in time for breakfast , the bed was comfortable
All was good for the price
The location of the hotel (Gothic Quarter) and the night reception LYDIA.
(a) Normal 3 star hotel, but no more. (b) Check-in time and procedure could be better. (c) Old and uncomfortable furniture. (d) Bad room cleaning. Final opinion: If the city center is not very important to you then I advise to choose another hotel for this value.
Too many good things about our 5 nights stay in this hotel. It starts with a very nice smell as soon as you step in the hotel. Staff are cool and helpful. When i booked, I requested a room with a window or a balcony (if possible). Upon check in, they surprised me with an upgrade to a superior room that has a window AND a balcony. That was awesome. We got a welcome drink after check-in. Rooms are very clean and comfy. And most important is the PERFECT location. It's a walking distance to many essential places you would want to go to, like Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Cathedral of Barcelona, Picasso museum, Parc de la Ciutadella, Placa de Catalunya where you take the Aerobus to/from the airport. Full of shops and stores, restaurant and coffee shops, etc.. on the street and in this whole area next to you, as well as a 24h supermarket right next to the hotel. Well, I shall say no more... Enjoy your stay!
Location to down town and the Cruise Ship Port. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and the included breakfast was very good.
Room Breaker tripped several times with nothing pulling a heavy load. Also, contrary to information given to us, it is not a 10 minute walk to the Cruise Ship Port. It’s a 21€ Cab ride.
In relation to the below, the staff who dealt with it the next day were great.
I was told our room would be upgraded for my anniversary, when we got there the woman was a bit rude saying it wasn't on the system. I showed her the correspondence and she was quite dismissive and it felt a bit weird - she said there's nothing they can do. Staff the next day said everything was on the system and they weren't sure why she seemed a bit moody,
An elegant hotel in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, palatial and distinguished, set in the cultural, tourist hub of Barcelona, in the urban melting pot where the Roman, Mediaeval, Modernist and Contemporary heritages merge. It is set in a totally refurbished, neo-classical style palatial building. A style that is repeated inside and embraces all the ambiances of its different rooms. This hotel in the centre of Barcelona has 62 exterior-facing rooms, sound-proofed, in modern design and fully equipped with plasma screen TV sets, free Wi-Fi connections, mini-bar, coffet and tea facilities and air conditioning. * When booking more than 5 rooms or more than 7 nights, different policies and additional supplements may apply.
