The price at the time of booking and the price we payed when we picked up the car increased of 400%. They forced us to take the mandatory insurance (that was not specified when I booked). Then when we brought the car back, they checked it without us being there, and there was a little scratch that apparently wasn't there before, and they made us pay 400€ for this, although they will probably never paint it as it almost under the car and no one sees it. Terrible service, terrible company, will never go with them again.

The lady at the desk at CLT airport treated me badly. She went from bubbles and buddies with the two previous clients. I think it was their ethnicity versus mine. I was promised and paid for an SUV and was put in a compact. She said none were available then back peddled and said I would have to wait if I wanted a larger car. When I got to the deck there were several SUV’s parked around me. I am a 300 lb Chinese American. I attempted to be pleasant and engage in a friendly manner and she never smiled. I did NOT get what I paid for and her service was awful. She treated the two black people before me totally different than I was treated. If you trace cameras back you can confirm this by her mannerisms and body language.

Give us the car we booked with an Automatic trans, full size and clean with gas in it. When we have trouble with a vandalism and are standing at your counter, actually call the service people yourself rather than pass it on to us. Finally, when you charge me 1500 euro for a flat tire, give me a break down of the expenses so I canfile insurance. Or, just do what you did and I’ll go to Sixt next time.

When picking up my vehicle, they insisted I take a hybrid vehicle saying it was going to get better mileage for the price and save me on gas but it had worse mileage compared to the vehicle I had reserved, so I really just paid more for gas and more for the vehicle they upsold me on. There was no financial benefit.

Nice, clean comfortable car. For some reason the pick up office in terminal 2 was closed for ten minutes as we arrived, but eventually the person working there arrived and we got our car.

Everything was great with the rental until we dropped the car off in Madrid after 10 days and discovered we didn't have a spare tire for the whole trip. We were lucky that we never needed the spare. Not great attention to detail by Hertz in Barcelona. Lesson learned I will always check the spare tire from now on.

It was absolutely shocking, the car we had was an orange Volkswagen T Roc it had an oil leakage and the car broke down in the middle of Cambrils and we were left stranded as Hertz done absolutely nothing we clocked the SOS button in the car and we spoke to the people on the other side who said they sent out the police and a maintenance team. They did not, we were stuck at the side of a road in a foreign country for 5 hours waiting to be helped. We phoned the customer service who said they would send up a tow truck and the police too, and they again did not. We had to contact the police and the Road side team who them closed off the side of the road but they did not help us at all. The police finally came and again they could not help us so we were left stranded until we got a €250 taxi back to the airport. We had to go to the airport Hertz who gave us a car for “free” but I checked my bank account to see £500+ has been taken out my account for this absolutely shocking service. I was informed we would have got a taxi to Alicante for free and our money back but we have clearly gotten neither and when this was explained to us over the phone by customer services they then said that it was only a taxi to Barcelona airport. Shocking absolutely horrific.

Turned out that I rented a car that was too small for all the luggage that we had and they gave me a free upgrade although it wasn’t clean but that was OK. Drop off they had someone help us with our luggage and we were able to get to the airport with their shuttle right away. He was very helpful and friendly.

Shuttle from the airport to Europcar and back was ok. The car was dirty and full of sand inside, the tires were pretty flat from the start. You have to take your own video walking around the car detecting issues before you leave.

Europcar now requires an international driver’s license for US license holders - this was not advertised anywhere and almost caused a total disaster for our trip. Kayak needs to do a better job making this requirement clear if it applies.

I can't fully rate the price since I somehow managed to book the wrong date and so when I got there it was a same day rental which I would expect would not be the same price. I payed for 1 day rental with full coverage ~60€. Not a great price but again really last minute. The car was a nice Fiat, small which is nice if you are driving/parking in Lisbon and low consumption.

Centauro tries really hard to sell insurance which is 10x more than the cost of the rental. Agents whole demeanour changes so once you let them know that you’re opting out of the insurance and going with credit card insurance.

Customer service was terrible. I was charged for existing damage and was told it was because i did not take the supplemental insurance they offer. I was told by an employee that he knows the damage was existing and that this is common practice as they are bonused on charging customers for damage! Needless to say, I will not be returning and fighting this with the credit card company as this is clearly a scam. Stay clear of centauro Athens and centauro overall.

The garage at this Sixt location is just not acceptable. It's single lane, and you have to park 6 or 7 levels underground. Meaning if you have to let a car pass, you may have to reverse 6 or 7 stories back up to ground level. It's also so narrow that it's almost impossible to get your car into a spot. We witnessed sheer chaos as people tried to figure this out. There was yelling and screaming. People unable to drive manual in the garage and burning up their clutch and tires. A huge traffic jam was created on a major street because of this.

I was contacted after returning the car that there was a dent in the car. In fact there was a scratch at it was noted on the record upon pickup. Only after producing a full video of the car with existing damage was the charged apparently dropped but without any courtesy email or apology.

Horrible. Staff lied to me. I rented it for 2 days + 2 days insurance. I returned it within 24 hours, they didnt refund me for 1 day. They didnt refund insurance for 1 day as well. They didnt send me receipt of my book, they lied to me and i will report this everywhere so people should avoid record go and kayak.

The car had been vandalized (with a key) with obscenities that I didn't notice when i picked it up in the darkness of the underground garage. When I did notice it, I thought someone had done it while I had it and made a police report. RecordGo should have pointed it out when I picked up the car.

The car pick up went well. We change the car, they couldn’t adapt the price, because I booked the car from the us kayak website. The drop off was so so. I was told to leave the key, but later received a car damage claim. It’s very suspicious that the sum of the Demange is precisely the sun of the deposit. The car didn’t have damages, so I expect Avis to prove it. Kayak has been a great tool to book the car. Thanks !

I had a reservation at 10 am, but they didn’t prepare the car when I arrived. They only have 1 car in same type that I requested. My family had been waiting for 3 hours, all my schedules were way behind the plan. Finally, the car had been returned and it only had 15% gas remain. Zero customer service. Unable to have help from kayak, dollar or Hertz (who owns dollar). Upon arrival unable to modify reservation (even in person). Unable to use reservation. Needed to rebook at a higher cost.

Car they provided was great. Low KM. Fun to drive. My only concern was when picking up. I rented for 3pm and arrived at 220. They made me wait until 3 to get the car which I wish they were more flexible. All good other

Took an age to find the desk on arrival at Barcelona airport. We mistakenly went to the car pick up point first and they sent us back to their desk inside the terminal to do the parperwork . Process at the desk was quick and polite. Car was modern and clean (Seat Arona). Had a few of minor dents/scratches on pickup but we took photos just in case. Only problem of note was a wheel judder above 80km so really needed the wheels balancing. Full to full fuel policy filled up just outisde airport on return. Directions for return were reasonably straight forward - just took one wrong turn near terminal. Dropped keys in box as noone around (early Senday morning). Received an email later that day advising all checks done on vehicle and credit card deposit would be returned in around 7-9 days. Overall really happy for £160 covering a 7 day period (plus £50 own insurance).
