The most splendid property renovated in colonial style. Very friendly staff. They organised all our transport and trip to the circus
Shower water was tepid. Late night music from hotels nearby.
The Villa is a very charming building which has historically been allowed to get rundown and the new very engaging young French manager seems inspired to re-establish a rewarding overall customer experience . My wife and I wish him well in his endeavours.
It was apparent that the cleanliness of the building ,floor tiles etc had not been maintained at an acceptable level, which was a great pretty since the Villa is potentially one of the most attractive boutique hotels in Battanbang. Also whilst we were there the restaurant was closed , as the Manager had just appointed a new chef who had not yet reopened the restaurant.
The villa, the setting, the atmosphere, the furniture, the staff, the restaurant, the breakfast, etc.
The staff was very friendly and kind. I particularly liked the young woman who checked me in on the day I arrived. On the second morning at breakfast there was a young man who had impeccable service skills. The pool was lovely.
I was in an attic room and I felt very isolated. There was no hot water. There was no light on the narrow steps leading up to the attic. It was difficult to navigate at night. I did not understand the choices at breakfast.
What a beautiful hotel. The manager and staff are friendly and very helpful.
