caught up with friends , used the city as a central meeting point , also did some shopping
Room was clean and warm, shower and TV worked properly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt. Decor dated, hotel parking limited, stairs very steep. Light over 1 bed did not work. This is an older hotel so it is difficult to bring it to the standard of a moden hotel but we felt this should be reflected in the price. The hotel could make better use of their great location and history in the area and improve bar and restaurant facilities to bring more local customers to the hotel and to encourage residents to use those facilities more. Breadfast was ordinary enough, could have been more "gourmet" with much better choices. Local cafe offered a better breakfast for less. Hotel bar closed at 11pm, you could only get bottled drinks from night porter. Felt overall we were paying a lot for the room and for breakfast (which was extra).
It is very near city centre and bus station. Located at a very quiet street
friendly staff, parking, location, needs updating
The location is exellent, in the heart of the city, close to main shops, with interesting local pubs. The staff are very pleasent, helpful, obliging, they work hard and smile easily. The breakfast was very good. The room was so cold,it became unbearable, none of the radiators on the landing outside our room were turned on, there was absolutely no heat coming from our radiator, the draught coming through the window were my bed was situated was horrendous, both my friend and i got into our beds fully clothed, with scarves and gloves, and I eventually had to share my friends bed to gain some body heat. my son swapped rooms with us, because his radiator was working. we were awake for most of the night because of the cold
Large comfortable room right in city centre I think that for the price I paid breakfast should have been included
the hotel is overpriced, the rooms are extremely basic
Good location, not far from the center and bus station; however music bars across the street can be noisy on a weekend night The building doesn't look too good on the outside, however the room was good. The continental breakfast paid separately wasn't impressive, I should have tried an Irish one at the surrounding pubs.
The sweets on the counter, the location, generous bedding provision the smell in the room, not being able to put our passports in the safe because the manger wasn't there at the time.
Location and friendlines of staff Problem with warm water from cold tap
modern amenities. great proximity to Cork City centre and shops, dining, etc. No fault of the hotel, but the construction out front is a bit of a pain.
Convenience to centre of town and also the cleanliness of the hotel Not able to open windows so the rooms were a little stuffy. Only way to cool room was to put on air conditioning. If we were to stay there again we would insist on a room facing outward. The price per night was quite expensive as breakfast was not included. To take breakfast in the hotel would make it just a little too dear per night. We were able to get a really nice breakfast just a short walk into town at less than half the price.
Very nice service employees, even the cleaing personal was nice and intelligent. Keep on with this! Perhaps you should make it possible to isolate the doors a little bit more, not totally (Room 241). Every talking on the aisle can be heard. This has nothing to do with the particular case of the strange guitar player and choir at 3 to 6 a.m. in the next room, which was apologized and rewarded.
The service and staff was extremely good also had food in Kudos which we really enjoyed, The room we stayed in had no heat and it was a very cold night and when we contacted staff member they got us to move which was all done very quickly but it was very inconvenient at 10 pm ish.
A very pleasant, comfortable and quiet hotel.
Access to the gym and parking were both very convenient. Excellent location and friendly staff. The beds could have been a bit firmer.
Central and staff courtesy
The staff were very pleasant and the rooms were very clean and well maintained
Breakfast was way to expensive 18 euro plus 5 euro room service is way to expensive!!!
Great Location! Very nice hotel. Restaurant was very good too. Staff (all but one!) were friendly and helpful. The heat! We were on the top floor and the heat in the hall/room was very uncomfortable.
Everything, by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in, from the building itself to the staff. Excellent. The management of the Clarion should be proud of the customer experience it's staff provides. I look forward to my next stay in the Clarion.
The staff were great. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about things to do and how to get there. They were also very nice to everyone. It was also nice having my own bathroom and shower. The room was very small. There was hardly any room to walk, and with 6 people plus luggage in my room it was very difficult to move around.
Close to the city centre and restaurants. Shower - water was not very warm. No way to control the temperature of the water. Just push a button that lasts for about a minute. Then have to keep repushing to get more water. Hotel was very noisy with lots of people running up and down the corridors. But was cheap and what I expected from a backpackers hostel.
it was an experience like no other place i have slept at,to meet so many people of all types of nationalities in just one night, the people who run it seemed to do a good job there
the only thing that maybe someone wouldn't appreciate is that it's located on a hill but it wasn't a problem for me, just a short walk. You'll find there very kind and helpful staff, friendly atmosphere, many services available, i was in a double room, not so big but nice room and nice bathroom with shower, cheap internet, very close to city centre, would definitely stay again
it's really clean and modern too much expensive and every service was not free. Our room (602) was like a corridor, so too small for 6 persons
Interent was cheap. It could have been cleaner - my room had piles of hairs on the floor. It could have been easily cleaned with the sweep of a broom. The sink at the end of the hall was was always clogged. The breakfast was very minimal and unsubstantial. I booked a room with a bathroom, and this hostel didn't have any, so there was some kind of miscommunication between the website and the hostel.
Very nice facilities
I liked the spacious room I got and the location of the area for the value of the money I paid.
good position, big kitchen, friendly staff, good price quite dirty
Hostel owners were pleasant and provided good trip information. Bathroom could have been cleaner, mold and mildew around shower and toilet.
Location Freezing room...radiators on timer no control of the heat
Good central location in cork with easy access to shops restaurants pubs etc but apart from location a little below average for the price. All and all mediocre at best. No Parking which was a complete nightmare, the hotel does have parking but it is first come first served so when we arrived on friday evening there was none available and no on street available eiter. This meant we ended up paying €20 for parking which I wish we had have put towards a nicer hotel room.
Central location Receptionist did not know where Queenstown was (I know it's now Cobh, but it is less than 10 miles away & there is a well publicised Heritage Centre there. More education on tourist info needed
Location Stopped serving breakfast at 10.00 am
It was central to all local amenties I thought the breakfast was bad value for money nd to expensive for what was served -
I was not happy to discover that they do not have a car park for guests to park their cars. There is a carpark nextdoor but if you wished to park your car there for the night, there would be a charge of thirty euro which I thought was outrageous.
It was within walking distance of city centre The hotel car park was small and did not have room for all guests staying at the hotel
The location was excellent in the centre of Cork with easy access to the City centre on foot. We would have appreciated air conditioning as opening the window resulted in traffic noise.
Great location - near the centre, railway station and bus station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice feel to the hotel. Nothing.
Friendly attentive staff, upgraded room on check-in, which was very comfortable, especially bed Only a minor negative but there was no shower gel in bathroom, had to go & find some from maid
Everything was very pleasant and comfortable what you expect from a 5 star hotel, highly recommended. Some of the reception staff were a bit too regimental ,could have been little more friendly.
Hotel facilites were excellent. Superb breakfast and dinner in the evening. Great views of the River Lee and Weir.
Good choice of restaurant in a relaxing setting. The staff were welcoming but not in your face.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean and tidy, the hotel is easy to access and is well located in the city.
The Food was tasteless.
The Kingsley was a great place to settle down In Cork. The staff were professional and took pride in their work. The rooms were nice and clean. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. I didn't mind this actually but the Kingsley is about a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. You could take a cab or walk it. The reason i didn't mind was because it was far enough away that you weren't surrounded by the noise.
The luxury and attention to detail and genuinely friendly/helpful staff. Low numbers of Irish staff.
Great room and bathroom; Awesome breakfast
had a truely excellent time over a weekend and would highly recommend it to anyone. the staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms were spacious and well equipped and the breakfast were a real treat.
The room was great, really comfortable and modern The staff at the front desk were abrupt and not very welcoming. Need Training!!!!!
This is a first class hotel with extremely curteous staff, wonderful location and quality of accommodation. Would definitley recommend this to anyone!! The only down point to the stay was the bed. While the bedding itself was extremely comfortable, it was two (large) single beds pushed together. Due to the carpet protectors on the legs, the bed shifted slightly during the night and if not careful you could fall down between the 2 beds..
Relaxing and enjoying the surroundings Disapppointed with restuarant food.
We really enjoyed the spa facilities and the warm, relaxed & friendly atmosphere around the hotel. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet time away from the hustle & bustle of the city. The hotel restaurant was disappointing. The meal took far too long to be served & the restaurant was quite cold.
The hotel itself was luxurious and classy. wine 8e per glass 3e per can of coke in the room, menu quite expensive but it was a 5star hotel so i suppose it was always going to be expensive.
Nice, comfortable and warm hotel interior and very comfortable room. Food good but overpriced. Good spa facilities although found the pool and spa water a little cold and for that reason probably will not return for the spa facilities. Booked a very reasonable 2 night stay with booking.com but very disappointed to hear that guests who had spotted a local newspaper advertisement were staying for a night with dinner and breakfast for approx. a third of the price of what we were paying for our room plus dinner. Raised our disappointment with reception staff on departure but even though I called the hotel directly looking for their best rate/offer for our stay I was advised that it was merely unfortunate but that if we didn't read the newspaper advert...
No courtesy bus into city.
beautiful hotel and friendly staff breakfast not great
Peace n quiet pool spa etc nice room Lack of kettle n room
access to cork heating in room does not work and can not be fixed
Excellent hotel. Service was fantastic. staff were very polite and always helpful. I will definately return
amazing staff, nothing too big a problem, beautiful surroundings.
Very comfortable king size bed, excellent food in Perrotts Restaurant (but wine a bit on the expensive side), lovely swimming pool, hotel in good location within walking distance of city centre. No tea / coffee making facility in bedroom would be our main complaint. Reception staff on arrival were friendly but while checking in, the girl answered two phone calls, and spoke to other guests around us making us feel a bit in the way.
Perfect staff who were interactive but not overly intrusive. Excellent food in an unstuffy atmosphere. Interesting layout of furnishings and nooks and crannies. The layout of the bedroom was at times impractical.ie dressing table with no mirror but a TV and hairdryer and the desk with mirror but cluttered with writing and information brochure. So nowhere to put toiletries.
From start to finish it was very relaxing. The Staff were excellent we initially had a problem with our room the carpet was very gruby, we called reception and they immediately came up and moved us to another room. The food was excellent. Even though this hotel was rated 5 star i felt the rooms were 4 star standard
Facilities The hotel is hard to find. Even the GPS struggled to get us there. Old world atmosphere, with some unusual and welcome additions; a bottle of whisky at the reception desk to parch the thirst and ease the frustration of locating the place. Another fun touch, a putter and play practice green in the room. It is a nice place but would I stay there again? probably not. It's the little things that matter in a hotel and the dinning reception left us cold. We made dinner reservations and showed up on time, appropriately dressed, only to be kept waiting while others streamed by, were welcomed, and seated. Eventually,We were placed in a back room at what must have been the worst table in the place, center stage, traffic area in a room surrounded by cozy booths. The Food and service excellent, but the second rate treatment left a bad taste. So we move on, to a better experience somewhere else.
Very welcoming, great value and city centre location, but a countryside feel in the beautiful gardens
Old world charm and very polite staff
comfortable and relaxing and very pleasant somewhat pricey
the staff were so friendly and helpful-the food was very good-5 star all the way
The rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. We arrived early, got a room quickly, and even were upgraded to a suite just like that. The staff treated us like queens and kings, making us feel like part of their family. Everyone was cheerful and helpful during our stay, and the bartenders were eager to talk about local places to see and shop at. A highlight indeed for our Ireland trip.
Staff very helpful to ensure our stay was most enjoyable
Staff were excellent. Hotel is gorgeous and makes you feel special There was slight dirt in the room... around the bath grouting and on the wooden slatted blinds in the room (dust). For 5 star this should be up to standard! Other than that it was lovely.
Pat and Regina were very friendly and warm hosts and made this a wonderful experience. The house is charming, the en suite bathroom was very nice, the morning breakfast was delicious, and the the location is fantastic. If we ever end up near Blarney in the future, we'll definitely be staying here!
Clean and good size rooms, great location, friendliness and helpfulness of owners Nothing
Location and cleanliness No common area.
The room was very clean and cozy. The owner (Anne) was extremely personable. My fiancée and I thought she was lovely and could have talked to her for days.
Hospitality , this was an amazing place to stay.
Central pleasant location, old-style building , some old stucco and decorations throughout the building. Nervous owner, jittery Faulty Towers style. No socket near kettle. Sloping floor.
The service was excellent, the bed was great, and there was always someone ready to answer any question. I actually liked everything. I recommend Audley House.
The Audley House has charm, a helpful and very personable hotelier, and an excellent location, between the university and a park, along a major thoroughfare into the city. We liked everything.
Staff were very friendly, room and en-suite very clean and comfortable.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional. The one outstanding factor was the food the breakfast although a little slow in being served it was delicious, piping hot and fresh.
It was a beautiful, very, very clean and pleasant surprise to stay at Ashlee Lodge. The owners were wonderful people - accomodating, caring and kind. Pride of ownership was displayed in this B&B - I highly recommend that you should stay here instead of in Cork if you wish to visit the Blarney Castle.
The couple who own/manage the Ashlee are very helpful and pleasant.
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to blarney, great staff, quiet, very comfortable, great hot tub perfect to relax in after a day of sightseeing.
This lodge was a wonderful find, perhaps the best value of our entire trip in Ireland. A beautiful room with all the ameneties you would expect of 4 stars. A large king bed with beautiful furniture and fabrics and air conditioning that heats as well as cools. What made it so special was the genuine warm welcome from the proprietors and the the care and attention you receive.
once we walked in the door the owener met us and he was very friendly and helpful with organising a table for dinner and taxi for us in local restraunt . that a hot breakfast was an additional extra 8 euro each
A very comfortable and clean hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for John, who was extremely friendly and helpful.
Lovely rooms Worked out more expencive when i went to pay due to pre-arranged price only including continental breakfast. This was quite disapointing as i thought the price was quite expencive to start with.
Great place to stay. Little out of the way tho. John was fantasic, but the woman who also worked there seemed to be taxed for time and was little un-understanding.
The hotel owner was incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him, the breakfasts were the best we have ever had.The hot tub was great and the general ambience excellent. Beware!! We paid our bill by visa which was in Euros. We later found that the owner had then converted our visa bill from euros to pounds at his poor exchange rate which was quite expensive for us and we did not want. The hotel was 3km out of Blarney so you had to drive to any restaurants, entertainment etc
The best value place we stayed at in Ireland
Th hotel was easily accessible either travelling by car or plane. The rooms were spacious and staff friendly and helpful.
wonderfully friendly helpful staff
the pick up service from the airport was quick the menu was not great, a lot more work needed on that before I eat there again
The staff were excellent & very helpfull. Also you can park your car at the hotel & walk or use the hotel coach to &from Airport excelent.
Good basic 4 star hotel The breakfeast staff (one male in particular) could do with training on who to talk to and deal with guests.
The Radisson BLU, Cork is just right beside the airport. We got an early morning flight and was offered a free shuttle bus but we just went for the short walk with our hand-luggage. Also offered coffee and scones in the hotel foyer as it was too-early for breakfast. Absolutely perfect if you are flying from Cork airport or on business. Our room was very spacious with good furniture. Will definitely stay again when next in Cork city.
The staff were friendly and helpful. 4 star in price only. An office with a bed rather than a bedroom with a desk.
Eat and slept
Location to airport with shuttle service Location of loo not good Narrow passage to get to shower if you use loo
The location at the airport was excellent. Very convenient for travellers. No.
Location was perfect. Staff was very friendly (for the most part) No
Rose lodge was very conveniently situated just 5 minuites walk from downtown cork although the bed and breakfast is on a main road the windows are double glazed so traffic is hardly heard
Relaxed atmosphere. Quiet at night.
Courteous Staff and good breakfast The tv only seemed to have like 3 channels which were repeated over and over, but I wasn't there for tv anyway, so it was alright.
Good clean basic room, plenty hot water for shower. None really, apart from I did not like the .horrible colour walls in the room
Very good Location...friendly staff...good for 1 overnight Modest bedroom size and toilet...nothing spectacular
Clean, efficent staff, comfie bed. Excellent breakfast Room was next to the street
Friendly hostess and location.
quite and comfortable
The staff were very helpful and kind. The guesthouse is located in a silent and easy corner of the town yet at a walking distance. The room was small and spotlights were shining in through the night. The shape of the guesthouse may be inconvenient for old people.
Friendly staff, good clean rooms and good Irish breakfast. Rate was very reasonable and location good for walking into town.
We attended a wedding reception at the hotel and stayed overnight. The reception staff were very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable.
Beautiful view fine large rooms bars etc
excellent for wedding good car parking lovely room
staff wer excellent
Quality of service No
I chose the hotel because it was convenient for a cookery course I was attending and had leisure facilities that my husband could use. Rooms were very comfortable with a sea view, the parking was easy and staff helpful and friendly No safe in the room
Good, quiet location, large comfortable, clean room. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Fiendly welcome, Comfortable spacious rooms, great food and atmosphere. Reasonable rates on room service
Spacious bedroom, view of the sea, tranquil, plenty of space to relax in lounge areas. No, but I believe you are just building leisure complex
a wedding our bed room wasent cleaned untill after 5 on evening that we arrived and we had to vacate the room by 11,o clock next morning not goog anoff
Very beautiful hotel, especially for the price! Perfect location and friendly staff! Cannot go wrong! Nothing to complain about! Excellent!
staff very good
The hotel is in a great location and we were able to park nearby which is a plus for a city hotel without a car park The rooms are very small but it is an old hotel and there is very little you can do about that
Comfortable Bed and location All OK
v central to cork city. lovely old style hotel
the recognition of myself when I entered the hotel and said I had a reservation, my name was said by Geraldine, the receptionist. The concierge was also helpful when I was looking for a nearby building.
Friendly staff. Very good standard of room. Lack of food selection at 10.00 pm and 11.00 am
Very comfortable beds! Friendly service The fact that you had to book to use the spa pool was not clearly pointed out upon check in, meaning we missed out on going. A mini bar would have been nice!
How close it was to the city centre The price, and the fact I had to pay for breakfast!!
Poor hot water supply
Rooms Noise outside and heat in rooms
Excellent location (about a 10 minute walk to the cIty centre, opposite the front of University College Cork gates) and very friendly, helpful staff. Recommended.
Loved this one, very cute and clean. Excellent facilities and staff were awesome.
Helena the owner welcomed us into our home. her hospitality was wonderful and not only was the house very comfortable, she went out of her way to make sure were comfortable and happy. Will recommend!! Nothing at all
sub standard accomadition and way over priced, poor value for money
Lovely, very clean hotel in a good location. Would most certainly stay here again.
Enjoyed your stay in the self catering room which was situated at another premises. Helena made us feel at home.
the girl working there was extremely nice and very pleasant Although the b&b is very central is much more expensive that b&bs in the area that might also include breakfast for the same price.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very close to city centre.
Took ages to get breakfast in morning if anyone was in ahead of you. our friends asked to be moved to room at front as their room was above kitchen and owners quarters and smell of cooking and cigarette smoke was quite strong
Very clean place and reasonably priced. Would love to come back again!
Beautiful room in a tastefully decorated guesthouse. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful.
There was nothing that I liked about my stay there. The owner smokes heavily and consequently all of the rooms smell of smoke. The wifi does not work above the second floor. The location is not very close to anything a tourist is interested in seeing. Indeed, it had an industrial look to the neighborhood.
The hot shower was nice and the full Irish breakfast was yummy We checked in at 0930 got to our room but found that they put us in a differnt room than I had booked. Much smaller and the smoke smell was very strong. Also during through out the day hours a small dog kept barking which was annoying.
pleasantly decorated, nice atmosphere, very clean. Breakfast took ages to serve,3/4 hour, not good if you are in a hurry. Also about 15 min walk from any restaurants or bars. No lift, difficult as I was with an 78 year old and we were on the top floor, 4 flights up.
The ownner was very friendly and helpful. The house was impeccable... all furnishings are of a very high standard and everywhere was spotless. The breakfast was very good. It is in a very central locatiion. We felt that the room, though luxuriously furnished and decorated, was cramped, and definitely too small for 3 people. (It was classed as a super double). It contained a small double and a single bed. Luckily, there were only two of us and we were comfortable for our one night stay.
I think it is deceiving with a name like Blarney Stone and we thought it was 10 min walk away from Blarney Castle, not 20 mins drive. Should have stayed at the Blarney Castle Hotel in blarney not cork.
The B&B was very quaint, the breakfast was awesome & the owner was charming. the smell of cigg smoke was constant
This hotel is in a quiet wooded location with good sized grounds but is still within easy reach of Cork City for excellent shopping and other attractions.
general facilites, warm and friendly staff in all areas. telephone messages from outside were never delivered; these were received at reception desk and were important.
The hotel is set in lovely woodland area over looking a lake and yet only 10minute drive to Cork City with it's many excellent restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel, because of the romantic surroundings is ideal for couples but also spacious enough to suit families. Excellent breakfasts. No complaints!
Location and friendliness of staff
We enjoyed our stay at the Vienna Woods Hotel. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We ordered food from the bar. Food and service were both excellent. The selection of TV stations was poor.
I liked the staff they are so friendly and would do their best for you
Room comfort and bar/resturant
Very comfortable, staff generally very friendly and room very clean and spacious
I stayed at hotel as my niece was having her wedding reception there and the wedding area was stunning and everything was done to perfection
excellent and helpful staff
Just thought it was a real warm, homely Hotel at an excellent price Only fault was that there was no shampoo in our bathroom
i hated this hotel,no one to greet us upon arrival,,,envelope with a key and all my details left out on the desk, anyone could of taken them..room small, bed small, batheoom dirty i hated this hotel,no one to greet us upon arrival,,,envelope with a key and all my details left out on the desk, anyone could of taken them..room small, bed small, batheoom dirty...so much so we left
Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff, bar at clubhouse which enabled hotel to be quiet and peaceful. Good amenities.
Work-related stay. Room ideal for work during the day. Extremely quiet, country setting. Staff very accomodating.
very comfortable and spacious room only breakfast served in the hotel
Siting of hotel and the room and breakfast facilities Information infers there is a restaurant. There is nonenor bar in the hotel. Initailly we were informed that there was not enough residents to warrant opening the restaurant. To eat dinner we had to go the Noisy club house which had no waiter service and basically served pub style food.
Being able to use the clubhouse Some of the staff were a little difficult to understand - not very good English
The hotel was good value for money, room spacious and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty. Always room to park and very quiet - no sounds from other rooms. The directions given on the website link were completely wrong - took us to the kinsale road out of Carrigaline. Had to ring hotel for directions which were correct but absolutely no sign on main road for turn off. How are people supposed to find it?
friendly staff especially the reception area. Room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. Tea and coffee facility was well stocked daily.limited menu but very tasty food and catered for vegetarians as well. Two things which irritated me there was no residents bar over the five nights our group stayed despite advertising so. Also the evening meal was off the hotel grounds and even though it was a short walk two of our guests have walking difficulties so we had to drive over each time.
Very good value for a business trip. Not a luxury hotel by any means but I had a nice, clean, quiet room and a good breakfast.
It was brilliant the staff very helpful, room excellent and it was great to find a hotel that took dogs.
Staff were excellent. Room service was very quick. Location was good and free parking was a bonus. The room was quite cold, although there was a plug in heater available.
The hotel and the room in general were very nice
Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Nice location to Cork city Evening meal could be better. Room 102 is over the front entrance and on Saturday night people while smoking talk and laugh too loudly
The friendliness and general easy but efficient atitude of the whole place
Hotel had lots of original features (was established in 1874) and has kept a lot of its charm. Near to city centre so easily accessible. It was possibly a tad pricey, however guess it was a 4* hotel.
view of city! comfort and privacy. unfortunately did not get chance to try out spa. room service menu choice and quality was great
Immaculately clean old world hotel (Victorian building). Quiet rooms. Reasonably priced restaurant with gastro pub vibe. Elevators could do with some sprucing up and the jolt with which they stop on reaching your floor can easily raise an eyebrow. Food is only available at set times in the restaurant. I had a late start on Sunday morning and there was little available.
Wonderful, spacious and well-appointed rooms. The food was good and well-presented too.
We had a very nice room assignment with view and balcony. We enjoyed the exercise room.
quite relaxed experience room was cold with only one small radiator
The hot tub and steam room Draughty windows very cold room, 4 room lights need replacing, mildew in bathroom
The staff was so nice and very helpful. The included breakfast was excellent with great food.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast, which was included, was vey good.
The hotel is lovely.staff are lovely. The food was excellent.
Blarney Woolen Mills is right next to historic Blarney castle. Very nice facility and comfortable rooms. Surrounding restaurants are okay. Not really, parking is a little difficult due to sharing with tourist attraction.
The convenience of the hotel to Castle, shops etc. Although Blarney is a very small village. very old fashioned and tired, needs updating and modernising.
Great Area.. would recommend to othes traveling from US
A relaxing atmosphere
I liked the hotel it was close to Blarney Castle, and that it was very quite. My husband enjoyed using the gym while I tried to recover from jet lag. The hotel restaurant we went for dinner was great! The waitress and waiters were very nice and friendly. The beds were uncomfortable to sleep on, and the staffs at the reservation desk were average - didn't seem to be very welcoming.
. i was very dissappointment with the service in the restaurant as i had read very good reviews , i felt they were understaffed and the staff that were working were doing the best they could under the cirstumances
lovely warm atmosphere, calming and relaxing, staff were just so friendly and helpful, right next to woolen mills so great for shopping. carpets need replacing in bedrooms, computer should be working for visitors, hall ways where bedrooms are needs repainting, looks quite dark.
Staff was excellent - Arrived late at night, staff greeted me at the door. Helped on a random request.
Easy access to the village and Barney Castle. Restaurant right downstairs for meals. Elevator was out of service so we had to lug suitcases up the stairs. Restaurant service was not the best. Servers in restaurant were not tuned in to customers. More interested in socializing among staff members. Food was very good.
