Location was great for our needs. We used it as a base for cycling. Very clean and lovely relaxed atmosphere, although a bit too relaxed in the restaurant. Food was excellent!
No extra toilet paper, so we ran out in the morning! Milk in the room wasn’t topped up, so we ran out despite being promised some would be brought up to us. Shower temperature wasn’t consistent.
We loved staying in an Inn with so much charm. Our room was in the old stables, the inn was decorated tastefully from years gone by, well maintained. The staff were polite and worked well together as a team. There was a staff shortage the first night we stayed, however they kept apologising for the delay from the kitchen. John our host spoke to all the guests and made sure they were looked after. I actually overheard him thanking and praising his staff for handling the situation well. The food was fantastic (both in the restaurant and a lovely English breakfast),the selection of music was very good and played at the right level. The best breakfast we had for our 2 months of travel. The bed was very comfortable in a good size room. There was also an attractive garden area to eat and relax. We would stay here again if ever in the same area again.
If there was anything wrong, it was over shadowed by all the good.
Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Beer and wine also very good.
Service at breakfast could have been better and the road was very noisy throughout the night. When booking we didn't realise the road was so close.
Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Convenient location for cotswolds. Looks like place is being upgraded.
Room was a bit tired. Needs a makeover. Bar prices a bit steep. 2 codgers at the end of the bar effing and blindin even though families were seated nearby. Bar staff more intent in sorting out breakfast tables than serving.
The staff were very helpful and the food was great. Very good choice of music!
