The rooms were clean and what to expect at that price
spacious and airy open plan, neat kitchen, very clean and it made me feel quite at home. could have slept a few people if on a budget. i would go back again. nothing comes to mind
staff were very helpful, particularly as my baggage had been lost by the airline maybe it's a kiwi thing, but I haven't stayed at a motel before where you don't get supplied with face flannels and hand towels
The couple who run the Motel were most helpful during our stay. The rooms have every ameniety one could want, provided, including milk to make a cup of tea! It was a little further out of the main town than we had thought on booking, but it was so good, we would elect to return.
The location was convienient for everything that Byron has to offer. On the main street and only a short walk to the beach.
Nicely updated hotel. Quiet and away from the main action in Byron Bay but close enough to easily walk. Staff was great. Since our room had recently been updated, it still had some paint smell but it wasn't too overbearing.
The rooms were more than I expected. Will defenatly stay there again :) Was staying in the apartments and didn't like that I had to walk through the car park and reception area to get to the swimming pool. There was a door near my room that would have taken me straight to the pool area but it was locked. Maybe they could give a key to this door to the guests that are staying in the apartment area so they can access the pool area.
Spa outside was cold!
The Location was great, close to supermarket, movie theatre(it was pouring with rain during our stay) just a short walk to the shops and beach. Was expecting slightly more up to date accommodation. Bathroom and Carpet very tired looking. Marks on carpet just made the whole room seem 2 star standard.
Convenience to town, staff very friendly, accommodation comfortable and clean. Reasonably priced facility.
The owner and staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Dianne was very accommodating about checking arrangements and also gave us an extra hour to check out as we were running behind in the morning. The location was good and very close to the beach and only a short drive to the main town centre. The decor is very nice and beachy. The room itself was pretty small did not have any windows (there was a window in the bathroom only). This was surprising considering the ~$200 per night price which I don't consider to be "budget accommodation". The bed was also quite firm. Both my partner and I woke the next day with sore backs.
The Ruskin House is the place to stay in Byron Bay... excellent hospitality, service, and convenience of location!
Owners very friendly and helpful, rooms spotlessly clean and big. Nice walk to the beach. Value for money was great.
Proximity to Byron Bay. We simply wanted a nice place to stay for 2 nights & Ruskin House met all our Needs. Nothing.
really comfortable and friendly hotel. Good value for money and Lucie and Gavin made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend and return
Comfortable quiet and cosy. Superb hosts, most welcoming.
great balinese decor and attention to detail the free roaming bearded dragons outside the property- not a big fan of them .
We had five rather large curious lizards in our back garden that hung around for our whole stay, plus many lived in the front garden entrance. Jacuzzi was wonderfu Uncomfortable bed and room was not cleaned during the duration of our two day stay.
We loved the authentic rustic Balinese decor and atmosphere, the resident horny backed lizards added to the experience. No room service as I was hungry on the first night. But hadr to fault we loved it.
We really didn't stay long enough to appreciate the place, but I was surprised how quiet it was, considering it's proximity to the Hotel. Could easily have stayed there for an extended stay. Not that it is something to dislike the place for, and I'm sure all we had to do is ask, but a tea towel would have been handy.
Location to the beach, friendly staff, clean and comfortable, secure
The Managers were great and the room extremely clean.
Very Central to shops and the function we were attending at the Beach Hotel
Liked everything especially the bed [queen] Needs an air conditioner
The room was clean, comfortable aand handy to everything. Our room was across from the reserve, we were woken at 4.30am by geese, ducks ? that did not stop squaking till after 7am. I would stay again but not in that room.
Gated parking. Excellent facilities for the price. Liked the balcony for sitting outside
Big rooms, close to beach, balcony & great location 2hr flight to get there
Good place to live with family Closure of parking after 2100 hrs
It suited our needs beautifully....could walk to the CBD/beach. Very quiet at night. Nothing. Were very happy.
Can't think of anything 1. Very poor value for money 2. Poor parking 3. No meals 4. Room catered for 3 but not enough chairs for 3 5. Cutlery was an ill matched collection (3 sets only). 6. Kitchenette was poorly equipped 7. When booking (for two nights) I was charged for two nights, even though your documentation said a deposit of one night only was all that was required 8. I was on my own but there appeared to be no way to adjust the booking details to reflect this. Was I overcharged? 9. The statement in your ads that free parking was available- all motels provide free parking
I likes getting out to the lighthouse and beaches I didnt like the room i was placed in as it was right next to the band and the fact that i was going neally all night
liked the location, and concept also the brewery close by and the picture theatre yes very much so, it was run down , dirty, needed a good clean. noisy at night, nothing provided such as plates, cutlery, tea coffee, very expensive for what you get. it is a hippy community type place which is cool but very crappy facilities
