Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent overall quality. High quality food, but not enough local influence in cuisine.
From the moment you walked in to the hotel you knew it was going to be very nice and I was not disappointed. Very relaxed feel to the hotel in an amazing setting among the mountains.
Very friendly staff
The Spa facilities and location to Gondala have booked again for the winter
efficiently run. good selection and quantity of food in the dining room and cheerful and obliging staff therein bedrooms overheated . poor ski and boot room facilities as not good having to use a flight of stairs to access it across from a side road
Excellent hotel in fab location next to gondola. Views from suite overlooking fantastic views.Great food-plenty of choice. Extremely helpful staff members.A good all-round hotel.Would definately return. Shame there was no swimming pool for children.
Great view from our window, large well equipped bathroom with lots of hot water, and really convenient for the slopes. Would recommend. The bedroom was a bit too hot, and even with the radiator off all the time, and the window open I was still too hot to sleep well.
Have skied in Andorra, thought a visit in Summer would be good, it really was but far more relaxing, found at golf course at the top of the Telecabine and the hotel was a haven of peace and tranquility, excellent.
Stayed here several times, excellent ski hotel adjacent to the telecabin, lovely views of the mountain, handy ski lockers and friendly service. Nothing
Very comfortable room, great staff. Great location for mountain sports.
goos location, bit of fun was four floors up and still had a road outside the window, no traffic........ i booked a double room with two people staying in it (female and male) and was given to beds pushed together. not tooo easy to snuggle like that
Nothing in particular. Clean and relatively comfortable. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, but breakfast wasn't particularly good. Very plastic! Small room - tired furniture.
The perfect budget hotel for a mountain walking holiday. take earplugs if you are a light sleeper and get a room witha veiw (above the street).
The outdoor pool was really good. The room was very clean. The room was too hot at night and there was no air conditioning. The only choice was to open the window which made the traffic noise even louder.
Generally all good. Desk staff were flexible as I was able to print my boarding pass on internet. Nothing other than that the bar was closed when we arrived quite late and i would have liked a beer, but went next door instead. Not sure but i think the web page said there was a swimming pool and we did not see one!
Fantastic cheap price, huge bathroom, lovely balcony and view, great breakfast
parking facility better than expected, hotel clean, good breakfast, staff helpful check in time only after 15.30 - contrarry to booking.com email, street noise and smell of tobacco in hotel lift
the hotel was well clean and fresh the sofabed was not good condition
I loved the warm ambient, luxury furniture, and the location, its great to be in peace with great landscapres.
everything was within walking distance... the front desk staff...ms elena?? was very helpful... loved it!!!
The fact. that the hotel is alongside the Gondola lift is very convenient. Also it is only a short busride from the shopping area.
the hotel design, the service, the staff. this hotel is really amazing :-) car parking
So far, . Best hotel ever. Excellent in all senses
Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly , it felt as though they couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasant one. Its possibly one of the best hotels i've ever stayed in for service. the views from the hotel rooms and the spa are amazing.
Excellent hôtel. Big bedroom, big Spa, xith man activities. Staff very Nice and helpful. Highly recommended. We really enjoyed. Staff doesnt speak french.
it was very quiet and it felt like we had our own hotel for a week the spa was only free to use if u were there before 15.00. no children allowed in the pool and spa !!!!! we took 5 children.
This is an excellent genuine 5 star hotel with great style and facilities. The spa is superb and is on three floors! Parking could be an issue in the winter I suspect
Perfect Location - Next to the telecabin No
The location was excellent. I was dismayed with the hotel. It was dark and cramped. There we're holes in the walls, and some of the fittings didn't work. Worst of all was that there was not enough room to sit straight on the toilet - even for a person 5'7 tall.
near the ski funicular the room very small.the breakfast is very poor(one fixed plate with 3 slices of bread , one slice of cheese and bacon.
Upgraded to Magic Ski which was in the perfect location. Thank you.
The price was very low.. ok the room is very simple and old, but the price is still very good. Buffet breakfast was included in a nearby 4 stars and it was very good A few noisy, it was on a busy road. It was hard to find the reception because it was in an other hotel (maybe in summer they don't have a lot of people and own various hotels from another)
the staff were very good and hepful and the hotel was keeped very clean
We have stayed at Hotel Vall Ski several timesand it has always been good value and a good location to tour Andorra from. I would recomend this hotel to couples and famileys. Glen Henderson.
Breakfast, Nice Staff Inter-room isolation is terrible, hotel mistake should be compensated (and not argue with guests)
Helpful friendly staff Cheap uncomfortable bed which made an unholy racket when you moved on it. Noisy guests in other rooms (walls thin)
the design, the reception lady was excellent the smell in the room was so strong that i couldn't sleep and dinner was not eatable, last issue: the staff don't know english so it could be a problem
Very nice, clean and cosy. A very nice new wellness/Spa centre. Good fitness equipment and excellent jacuzzi( really a whole swimming pool).Excellent balcony. Could be indicated on the hotel page that wellness is for extra cost ( even fitness ). And it could be open also on morning hours. Parking a bit tricky as no reservation is possible- it seemed not enough places for all cars.
Friendly Staff nothing was to much trouble for them
Spacious Public rooms, excellent restaurant.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. A reservation issue was fixed quickly and with a great attitude to please.
The location in front of the telecabine is something fantastic!!!!
Nice hotel, cosy lobby with lots of wood and carpets, atmosphere of a grand chalet, half an hour drive from Andorra la Vella capital city, and half an hour drive from skiing in the mountains, most of the staff speak english. What goes for Spain, goes for Andorra as well : if You don't speak Spanish, then service from people and people beiing friendly is getting worse. Only a few restaurants in the village, and by Spanish habit the only open from eight a clock in the evening. One site of the hotel a narrow busy street, other site building constructions, ask for a room overlooking the pool.
Their internet facilities did not work.
Quiet room with tripple glazed windows, friendly staff, good breakfast free (but tight) parking Despite being a Non Smoking room it smelt from deodorant used to cover smoking smells
Everything. Staff friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast superb. Room was clean tidy and really comfortable and a pleasure. Facilities were more than adequate. Great location. more choice in mini-bar would be nice.
Location and very helpful and friendly staff
I am very surprise, my girlfriend and I were treated as kings. everything perfect. I wish through this review, thank all the staff of the hotel. Thank you very much.
location closeby the pists, friendly hotel staff, large buffets for breakfast/lunch/dinner parking not on the premises but in nearby parking house
It is in a quiet part of Andorra, yet quite close to the main town. The leisure facilities are good and the staff very obliging. As non smokers, we did not enjoy the return to the bad old days when all public area were smoke ridden.
Location - it was outside the city centre, so more quiet natural surrounds with great views over the valley and out to the Pyrenees mountains. Although rooms were a reasonable size, the layout was a little 'boxy' - ie would be better to have more open plan into the living area from the front door.
Location was perfect for skiing, hotel offers discount at local ski rental shop, Pico Negre, which were excellent. THe size of the apartments was great, but get the ones in the newer side with a kitchen. The spa rules, need a swim cap to enter pool. Who the hell packs a swim cap, and why should I have to buy one there? Our couch was very uncomfortable, which was also our bed later that night.
+ That we can use swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi for free; + Our apartment was very comfortable for 2 people; + Great view from the window. - It was only one public computer with very expensive internet, and it wasn’t possible to print out information anywhere (it was very important for us!). Lady at the reception desk was very helpful allowing us to use her computer and printer. - Microwave and coffee maker didn’t work properly.
The facilities and flexibility of use
The hotel very much was pleasant. All is very beautiful and comfortable All very much was pleasant
staff were good, location to ski resort swimming pool was not in hotel but different location and had to drive to it.Kitchen had very basic facilities
The rooms were wonderful and comfy with a very nice view of the mountains. It was also nice to have a lounge room and the staff were quite friendly. It is a very family orientated hotel, so dinner and the pool were very busy with children and large families. Thos is great for families, not so good for younger couples wanting quiet. However the rooms were quiet!
nice clean well maintained hotel Parking
A fantastic little hotel and very good value for money
The staff was very friendly and really healpfull in our our doubts and needs. The breakfeast was really good. Excellent value for money.
A 4-star experience. This small and cosy hotel is a real gem. The bedroom was fantastic: very comfortable bed, everything was very clean: there was no real evidence of previous guests. Decor was modern with quality touches everywhere. I got a great night's sleep on all 4 nights I stayed, with no disturbance from the outside or other guests. I have been in many moderately priced 3 & 4-star hotels in ski resorts all over Europe and this one is head and shoulders above them all. Nothing.
We were very well accomodated, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast very satisfactory. Parking could have been a problem as the Hotel is on a very busy street and in the middle of a shopping complex.
Superb standard of rooms, friendly service and good food
My Spanish is 0. The reception was very helpful. Room was very well equipped. Need more instructions on the lights and phone. Left my wallet on the bed when checking out. Phone hotel from France, spoke with Manager. She sent cash funds via La Poste, and sent my wallet to my home address. Very helpful, a lot of extra work. Honest and helpful staff. Restuarant has nice view, slow season, need staff more attuned to this slow time, hospitality, more flexible.
The spa was free and lovely after a hard day snowboarding! There is a free minibus which takes you the 5 mins up to the gondola, however, the hotel is close enough to walk - the minibus driver was also v.helpful and flexible and went out of his way to accomodate guests if the bus was full by putting on extra runs. The evening meals were in the main good, with a wide selection. The hotel was also modern and clean. It was the most modern ski resort hotel I have stayed in. Smoking should be banned indoors, people were often smoking next to you while you were eating which is never pleasant. The hot breakfast was a little to be desired with a choice of 4 things which did not change through the duration of our stay. On one occassion the fish from the night before was served! If your looking for your typical hot english breakfast, sausage, eggs, bacon etc, this is not the place to go.
I like the location as it is close to the ski area and the spa was nice after a long day. The beds are a nice size, but they are not fixed together so for a romantic evening you end up slipping between the beds.
No slippers in our room to use for the pool/sauna
Extremely friendly and helpful staff!! Great atmosphere in the hotel also!
Very little. Very disappointing experience. One of our two room had a view of a brick wall and an air-con unit, quite shameful for a very expensive 4 star hotel. In one room the wi-fi connection did not work. There were no free slippers as advertised, we were charged 3€ . Also no towels available for the sauna / jacuzzi/gym, which had broken and potentially dangerous exercise bikes. We would never return.
liked the big and new room.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, very good evening meal. No
pleasant staff and facilities uphill walk to main part of town
Food was over priced and the rooms too hot.
We liked the hot broth soup available all day in the lobby and the view from the hotel room balcony was breathtaking. The lobby was very cozy after Skiing all day and sitting by the fire. The Bell Hop was very kind and helpful for the length of our stay. Expired food delivered with room service. Room not cleaned one day after skiing (had to wait in lobby and was never notified when it was complete). Hotel has no hair conditioner available. The Pool and the Hot Tub were not very comfortable due to the water jets in both sprayed out freezing cold water. Front desk staff seemed to be more irritated with the inconvenience of fixing the issues that we had rather than trying to make us more cofortable with our stay. I have stayed in various classes of Hotels over the years and I know that I could have spent a lot less at a 3 star hotel and received better service. For a Five Star Hotel I would have expected a lot more.
nice decor, ambiance, facilities for children were excellent no parking available and municipal (paid) parking was expensive. the rooms were too hot and temperature could not be regulated
i liked the hotel because i read the reviews before i booked and lived up to my exoectations the evening meal was not up to my expectations
Warm hotel and easy to find and parking infront of hotel. Next to ski school for beginners. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We stayed on a Monday for one night, and so it was quiet, but expect during weekend and height of snow season it would be very busy, which is to be expected.
Location, interior, restaurant and attitude in common No, everything was fine
The room was really nicely appointed and very comfortable. The food both for the evening meal and for breakfast unfortunately was very poor. Badly cooked, cold and poorly presented. A shame, as otherwise the hotel was excellent.
Location Character of Building Room very hot at night
Nice view & location.we like the breakfast & very good hotel installations.very big room with balcony. is far from andorra la vella but may be in winter is good sky connection.
The hotel was very smart, with the rooms being of a very high standard. The breakfast was also good value. Don't bother paying in advance, as it is cheaper if you just pay on the day. For 6.5 Euros you get a massive buffet breakfast, with sparkling wine, smoked salmon and all the cheese you could want, as well as the usual stuff The hotel is next to the main road out of Soldeu and traffic noise is very loud. We were originally on the first floor, overlooking the road, despite asking in advance for a quiet room. They did move us to the top floor, but even then the noise from the road was very clear when you had your window open, which you had to have as it was hot and there was no air conditioning. Wouldnt be a problem in winter, but in summer it was a real negative
Recommend this excellent hotel of very high quality. Beautiful room and bathroom with every convenience. Extremely good dinner in the restaurant and the same the next morning for the very extensive buffet breakfast, including complimentary champagnoise. We had a great deal €90 for dinner, bed and breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel
I thought the room was spacious, smart and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space and a sitting area, the bathroom being very well kitted out as well. There was also a balcony area. Very good value for money even though I was staying on my own. Breakfast was fine also.
The proprietor and his wife looked after us very well and kindly gave us a lift to the starting point for our walk the next day.
We stayed at this hotel on our first night in Andorra and found it well situated for travelling on to the other valleys. Probably ideal in the ski season too as it is right at the foot of the slopes. Pleasant building, free car park. The room was spacious, well furnished and comfortable with free access to internet. The bathroom had a tub and a separate italian shower and a generous array of toiletries. All very clean. Breakfast plentiful and varied. Coffee very good. We opted for the 1/2 pension with evening meal. Although it was not a set meal and one could choose from the two menus on offer, we found the food to be disappointing. Not suited to Parador standards. Would not recommend that option.
Helpfulness of staff was excellent. Parking on site. Hotel position shown on map was not accurate. We had a job to find it.
The hotel was very cute and the breakfast they put out each morning was quite large and impressive. The hotel was a bit hard to find, they should really put a sign up on the main road in the town. The beds were also as hard as rock which made sleeping a little difficult.
The staff at Hotel Meta are extremely friendly and curteous. The breakfast buffet was beautifully laid out and delicious. The hotel is spotlessly clean, modern and homely.
Very friendly, very comfortable and well maintained
it was everything very good. service, food and facilities localization could be more centered
breakfast was nice, hotel staff is very helpful and creates a nice and friendly atmosphere. the hotel reminded us to the family pensions of Austria. sound protection between rooms, external look (which applies to many hotels in Pas de la Casa)
Staff was very friendly, rooms were very clean.
The hospitality and breakfast.
Very good and comfortable hotel. The breakfast is tasty. There are boxes downstairs for ski and ski boots and no need to take all your ski staff to your room. The staff is very polite and always ready to help you! My best regads to Josep and his family! Thanks a lot for hospitality!
The hotel is excellent value for money - it had all you needed and was clean and comfortable. We had to shut our windows as it is on the main road through Encamp, but the air conditioning was good. Nice to sit on our balcony and watch everyone in the street.
It was ideally situated for one of the nicest parts of the city. Breakfast was cleared too promply at 10.00 a.m.!
Friendly staff, good position for our needs, room was clean, breakfast was adequate, very good price Room was very cramped and bathroom so tiiny you had to perform contortions to get round the basin to the toilet. Ok for one night but not more. Room suitable as single only as so much furniture in a tiny room you had to take turns in moving around
My son said the best the thing about this hotel was the owner's dog that sat in the entrance lobby! However, the hotel rooms were comfortable and did have good internet access which was free and they were able to arrange the ski lift passes at 5% discount as well as advise on ski hire. The buffet breakfasts were acceptable albeit without a great selection (we had to go out and buy cereals for the kids as they wouldn't touch the cereal on offer). A few negative points - the baths were unbelievably small - even my 12 year old couldn't get his whole body in it. Other than Eurosport and cnn both of which had poor reception, there was no English tv. The lift was very, very small which meant long waits are taking the stairs. However, the main negative point is that there was the lack of a nice communal lounge to sit in in the evening. Other local hotels offer much better facilities for not a lot more!
Very friendly staff. We stayed 2 nights and had one dinner which was excellent. The fish was cooked to perfection! Still very moist! Buffet breakfast also good.
Comfortable, well maintained, good location for us. We were starving after a long day so didn't want to wait till 8 pm for dinner.
It was a nice stay. The pool was cool. Maybe the food is not very exciting...
Nice building, nice place spare blankets and pillows not clean.
Very comfortable hotel which is conveniently located only few hundreds meters away from ski lift. Good facilities for ski storage. Friendly staff. No kettle in room. Only few TV channels in English
Jakuzi was nice. The air in the room was too dry.
Perfect hotel for a skiing/boarding holiday. Spa area was nice and the food was top draw
The hotel was very clean and well maintained and the rooms were spacious with fully equipped bathrooms. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was well situated with close proximity to the skiing. This all made for an excellent holiday. There were no bad points for us.
The food was excellant abnd all the staff were very helpful and friendly
Helpful and friendly staff in wonderfully situated hotel. The only slight downside was that, for me personally, the mattress was too firm.
staff had poor attitude, beer was poor once the barrel had been changed, ok before. toilet flush didnt work.
Small, friendly hotel in the most beautiful part of Andorra. Excellent base for bikers, hikers or skiing.Excellent value for money and good restaurant. We hope to return. The room was a bit on the small side.
Value for money
Friendly staff.Good food.Beautiful setting & scenery.
Close attention of the staff particularly the Manager/Bar Tender. Very friendly atmosphere. Popularity with non-residents. Excellent dinner menu, fine food above the standard of the hotel's rating, with generous but balanced portions very well cooked. Large carpark behind and below. Views from rear bedroom windows. Ramps for wheel chairs to ease entry and exit, including on deck. Bedroom a bit small and basic. Wall-mounted TV in bar area but this is common these days. Building maintenance going on from scaffolding at the back, allowing workmen to see directly inside rooms, though rooms have solid retractable shutters. Some noise from the work but not too early or too late and because the Andorran season is in the winter it is to be expected as the season ends.
It was very relaxing and comfortable. Everything was clean and we had a great view of the mountain.
Perfect location in Soldeu to use as a base for walking (stayed in Sept). Staff were friendly and room was clean and tastefully decorated. Stayed for 2 nights and dined in the restaurant both nights as the food was delicious and very good value for money. The expectation was perhaps set with such good value for money for an evening meal in the restaurant, that the cost of the breakfast seemed expensive in comparison. This is not a quibble about the breakfast itself, although it was billed as a buffet breakfast on the booking - which it was not.
Hotel was very good, staff were helpful and the room was exactly what we needed. The food was also good.
Location to ski slopes/cable cars Breakfast buffet was very good
excelent family room, very large. good location room not very sound proof
The food was superb, and the Staff were so friendly and helpful. It is an extremely Child/Family friendly hotel. And the Play park facilities are outstanding extremely safe and well run No tea/coffee facilities in the room, especially when we needed to heat our babies bottle. I hate using a microwave for that. Not healthy at all...In my opinion.
Very comfortable and relaxing hotel, excellent buffet breakfast, central for ski lift, shops and bars. I was not able to book any treatments at the spa due to prebookings. I was not warned to book in advance before arrival, I would suggest more staff or a warning when booking.
location is very good, spa is very nice, good rooms. spa very expensive, smoking is allowed in lobby and bar, warm food in restaurant is good, but the saladbar somewhat disapointing
very good food I think it should have been made clear that all of the spa facilities were an extra cost
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor and layout of the hotel made for an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. The food was varied and well presented.
Location of hotel and facilities on offer Room did not have a balcony. Window opened up over a roof which was accessible from the ground floor via some steel steps, which meant you could not leave the window open as it posed a security risk.
This is an excellent, well-designed luxury hotel in a wonderful mountain area with top-class food. It seems very child-friendly, though I wasn't travelling with children. Room got stuffy at night (summer) and there did not appear to be a ventilator. I had to open the balcony door for fresh air, which could have been a security risk.
