Pros: Nothing, this was a terrible experience.Cons: When I arrived at hertz, they made me wait over an hour as they didn't have any cars available and someone had to drive it from jacksonville. Then, there was inflexibility when I wanted to change my drop off location. They wouldn't let me even during difficult times like COVID. Then, I received erroneous additional charges on my credit card. Horrible experience. And customer service was incredibly rude.

Odd hoursCons: Hours published as if open all day long. Came back to put spouse on, note on door they would be back in fifteen. We were able to find someone quickly, but no one mentioned that the office could be closed when I was told he’d have to come back in. Also, we’ve never had to pay for a spouse driver before, only extradrivers beyond that. Spouse driver was additional $13.50.

Pros: Vehicle was clean and available on timeCons: I was not made aware by Kayak or by Hertz that there was an additional "concession fee recovery" charge equaling $62.35 tacked on to the rental amount. When I asked the agent he said this was because I picked the car up from the airport. If I had picked the car up at another location the fee would not have been applied. I could have just as easily rented this car from another location near by. I believe that both Kayak and Hertz are responsible. The agent also said that if I had booked directly with Hertz instead of going through a third party they would have made me aware. I feel like I have been ripped off. Last time I will use Kayak or Hertz to rent a car.

Worst experience of my life!!Pros: Carla, from customer service who helped me and Carl in the St. Augustine officeCons: I wasn’t told about a Do Not Rent list when I went in a month ahead of time, I was kept on hold and hung up on for more than three hours, I lost a job opportunity because I wasn’t able to leave until six hours after I rented the car, I had mechanical issues and was treated like I was the issue by customer service, no manager available when I switched to another car nor when I turned in the car. Worst experience of my life and I have no way to make a formal complaint.

Pros: I liked the way I was treated at the Manchester NH airport, where I exchanged the car I had to settle for from saint Augustine. The car was not a full size,as requested! It was not clean inside or out and it had less than half a tank. Plus Calvin tryed to charge me twice the agreed price. David however exchanged the mid size Sentra for a clean full size Avalon with a full tank of gas. To top it off upon the return of the car back to the place I picked up the Sentra there was another attempt to charge me more than what my price is from the print out from Manchester NH. Family and friends all asked who I rented from and that they will not use them.Cons: All in above-mentioned statement.

Will never use againCons: After booking and pre-paying for a rental car, showed up at Hertz to find out there were no vehicles available. So not only being left hanging, had our bank card charged and was told it would be three weeks before credited. Not happy at all!! There will not be a positive reference from us for either of the companies And am looking for the prompt return of our funds.
