very comfortable guest house with helpful host, very peaceful location, great pool and very useful to have complete access to the kitchen. the room was very warm and the fan was not effective in colling it. Air conditioning would be good.
Great B&B Need to watch out for Cold Winter at times so should provide better in room heating or extra blankets in cuboard.
The quiet serene atmosphere with only the wind and the chirping of birds in the trees was an absolete relaxing experience. In the room that we stayed in was no table or chairs. We had to sit on the side of the wooden bed. To be frank we didnot have a good nights rest because of the creeking of the bed when you turn or move. Parking may also be mentioned as difficult.
It is right in the middle of the Constantia wine route, and simply perfect to sample the culinary delights of the area, without having to drive long between different estates. The people at the Guesthouse were friendly and very helpful and it made the stay such a pleasure. Nothing at all!
Extremely helpful staff, very knowledgeable and likeable None
summit place gave me rough idea how a successful business/ millionaire lives, summit place is in a fantastic location and is a top top quality house. breakfast was not included in the price of £90 a night.
We were particularly impressed by the hospitality and consideration of the hosts. The room was fine and the pool most welcome on a very hot day.The location was ideal for exploring the Cape area.
The room is very big and clean the shower hangs from the ceiling and it is difficult to make a shower without washing the hair (for sure it is a problem for women)
The friendliness of the staff, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome during my stay. I also liked the option to have breakfast brought to my room but it was also nice to sit outside on the patio and look out over the beautiful garden while having breakfast. Not applicable.
Quietness, Privacy, Security
Staff were exceedingly helpful, the place is comfortable, well equipped and convenient for any type of holiday in and around Cape Town. I used mostly as a retreat, peaceful and quiet, but as a base for daily excursions it would also work well Minor - DSTV is advertised, but not really available. Breakfasts a little overpriced for what they are.
friendliness and helpful staff R50 charge for being late arrival without notification; verification procedures up front
Very relaxing environment with great facilities for small children
Relaxing, quiet location, beautiful garden, good security, good breakfasts, friendly staff A iron in the room would have been useful
Unfortunately we could stay at the Southern Light Country House only two nights, which was not enough to enjoy the garden, the terrrass, the pool and all of Capetown. We would like to live there once more when we return to Capetown.
Relax, Relax, Relax
The room was stylish and clean. We loved the ambiance of the beach house - friendly and fresh. Our host and waittresses were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed an excellent English breakfast.
The staff was very helpful and breakfast was excellent The shades were not opaque and we got woke up with dawn
very good breakfast options, clean room very small, espeially en suite facilities
Very helpful staff , good location , comfortable rooms
Very friendly and helpful staff. Always willing to help!! Beautiful bedrooms.Very Comfortable!
Staff friendly and helpfull. Breakfast excellent. Security good. Location very good. Bathroom small. TV reception. No radio/clock.
The location is very good for Hout Bay, quiet, very convenient to Hout Bay shops, restuarants, and markets. The scenery is beautiful, the hotel efficient, and overall a good experience. I would certainly stay there again. One needs a car if one intends to spend time in Cape Town City. The room had no dressing table or convenient mirror or plug. This was a problem for my wife to do her make up. We needed to buy an electric extension cord to resolve the problem.
The hotel is near Cape Town; vehen we arrived, the staff was very helpful in suggesting an itinerary for the day, recommending routs and restaurants. Room was spacious and comfortable
Attention to detail; beautiful surroundings; homely comforts in the rooms and in the bar.
Tarragona Lodge proved an excellent location for sightseeing the Cape yet was still convenient to reach Cape Town itself. The staff were very accommodating to our every need Not really a dislike but the convenience of access to on line e-mail facilities would have been an added bonus.
The hospitality was five star. The staff and management went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
The owners were very nice people and made our stay comfortable and very helpful with useful tips about the area. We felt like home during our 3 day stay their. The room was clean, had all the facilities we needed, and it was nicely decorated.
The hosts and staff are very warm and welcoming. The spaces are light and airy, with good views of the mountains and harbor, and tastefully furnished and decorated with the owner's excellent photographs. nothing
personal attention of staff
the location was great near to many places of interest ,the owners are fantastic hosts and also the staff. a very chilled out place to be with great views and lovely pool area ,bedroom, shower and toilet are very good and clean . And to top it all the owner is a world renowned art photographer with some beauutiful art on the walls of your room and around the guesthouse we loved it
Not woman friendly in terms of having facility ie make up , dry your hair etc
A very quiet place, celan and with very friendly staff, and the owners were very nice people as well Although mentioned in Cape Town, it's located in Hout Bay which is a bit far away
Excellent host and service. Lovely guest house with large open communal kitchen and living room, which we had to ourselves. Comfortable bedrooms, not large so you spend spare time in the communal areas. Everything very attractively designed. Great breakfasts, open fire. Very safe as armed with elaborate alarm system, which we were useless at using and set off twice, but everyone very patient with us! Situated on hill of the bay. Not much to do in fishing village but 20 mins drive from ct and plenty of restaurants within easy drive.
It was ideally located for park and ride to the Green Point stadium, the staff were amazingly helpful.
Morgan and Charity could not have been more helpful in making our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Room standard was high - a very clean and well run establishment with a hospitable warm friendly welcome.
Lovely breakfast, welcoming staff, comfortable room Shame there was only a shower room
Conveniently situated, clean, friendly and value for money.
My stay at the hotel was home away from home. The friendliness and hospitality of all staff has convinced me to alway's use your hotel and to definitely refer your hotel to my family, friends, colleagues and client's. I was treated like a queen. Thank you for a wonderful experience :-)
Good room, good breakfast and friendly service. Well-located in the city but without a city feeling. No DSTV in the room and a poor TV signal.
Excelent time and staff they could not do enougth to help very pleased.
Friendly staff, totally renovated studio. We paid an amount of R 700 per night and according the site we could use all facilities (jaccuzi, sauna and internet) for free. When the hostess guided us around, it appears we have to pay extra for everything. For R 700 per night (even for Dutch opinions a lot!) we`ve expected it in the rate.
Our hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful, the accomodation was spotless and relaxing
