Everything Decor, music, food
Beds were very comfortable, staff was well-trained and considerate. Decor was a well-done mix of medieval and modern. I would definitely stay there again
Room at front with a view
When we arrived at our room it was cold. the air conditioning was on. we found the "manual" difficult to follow. we had to call a member of staff to change the mode to "heat" and it took quite a while to heat up, bearing in mind that it was really cold outside. during the winter months the room should be warm on arrival to make it more inviting and comfortable. once this was sorted for us, it was great.
Amazing stay. Upgraded to a lovely suite. Service superb.
It was beautifully decorated for Xmas which added to the ambience. A really magical place to stay. Although it is out of town the no 130 bus drops you off right on the corner of the hotel. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants so we can't comment on them. Really good value for money if you can get a good deal- I can't wait to go back at easter!!!
Only a shower in our room but because we only stayed for one night it wasnt a problem
It was a beautifully designed hotel
lack of facilities, the gym itself was terrible, some of the staff were not as friendly as the others.
beautiful building, friendly staff, great dinner although breakfast was a bit disappointing but in all an amazing accomodation, really recommend, IF you can get a good rate package which we did
it is a little bit outside of the city centre however good connection by bus available and the benefit of being away from the noice of the night life which is what so many people complained about in other hotel reviews. in all very happy we chose this hotel!
Contempory mix of classic charm, modern fittings and great atmosphere in busy bar.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Clontarf Castle!! The rooms were beautiful, the food was exquisite, the services at your hotel were fab!! We are currently living in Moscow, Russia, and this holiday was a perfect "get away" for us!! Your staff was so helpful - We didn't receive our laundry from another castle in Scotland, and your staff helped us retrieve it! Very kind!!
We loved everything!
the staff could be more helpful, had to ask for things more than once, which was a bit annoying.
Hotel was very good and as depicted on your site, food was superb if the service at first was a bit haphazard, staff kept getting our names wrong- a bit embarrassing for us.
Hotel staff not very efficient - had ordered champagne to be in room on arrival - it was not despite reception telling me at check in that it was - had arranged to have guests in for dinner and could not reserve a table in the bar and one other bar was 'reserved for a private function' but was remarkably empty and dark despite the bar being very busy. Newspapers ordered were not delivered and when queried was told that this paper was not available on a Sunday - not true - when pushed they agreed to go out for one, reluctantly.
