Nice getaway and great restaurant and view!
Rooms are quite and grounds were well kept. Staff were very friendly.
Only one thing, the beds!
Love this hotel....some things need tweaking
Love the room, cleanliness, staff, restaurant, etc...
Pillows, cleanliness of the hot tub/pool area was not great
We enjoyed our stay
We liked that it was by the river, and that there was a trail to walk along the river.. We loved that we could take our dog with us. We loved the breakfast buffet.
It's been brought back to life
The Inn had been built in the 70's and allowed to drift for a while. But there's been a lot of attention to detail recently and it shows. We've been visiting Eugene regularly for over 40 years and have stayed just about everywhere. Valley River's back on the top of the list.
Will stay there again.
Customer service was great! Shuttle driver was very friendly and helpful. Very nice restaurant, too.
No mini fridge in rooms.
Buy on Kayak no amenities
If you buy a room on an online site the Valley River Inn takes away all amenities. No breakfast, etc.. Also when the staff see's your online rate their attitude completely changes to the negative. Restaurants food was very poor and very expensive.
Great place to stay!
This is one of the older luxury hotels that has been wonderfully maintained. Spacious and beautiful with all the amenities you could want. Gracious staff and the restaurant and lounge were perfect!
Something for everyone
I thought the location of the hotel was excellent. The restraint in the hotel was so good that we didn't eat anywhere else during our trip. We loved it here and will come back in the future.
Room service food was excellent. We shared the steak dinner and a Cobb salad. The beef was terrific as was the salad. Even though the hotel is about 45 years old, the room was newly renovated. The furnishings and decorations were very nice.
Our only complaint was the bed was harder than is comfortable for us. Other than that, great stay.
Everything was great and my weekend there made going back to the real world a little better :)
That I couldn't stay longer
Sitting by and swimming in the pool was wonderful! And our meals on the deck by the river were excellent!
The decor, the staff, and the chef. Best food I've ever had at an American hotel.
