The buffet breakfast was superb, especially the honeycomb. Im the first room we were given the central heating was not wotking and we had to move to another room, but nobody came to help us with our luggage and we had to carry it all ourselves - not what one expects from a 4-star hotel especially as my wife and I are in our late seventies
The breakfast was very delightful, lot of choices and they do cater for vegetairans and those who use soya milk. The spa facilities were good. However, I would say that the hotel needs refurbishment and some area needs modernisation. Being told that we are limited to one towel each by one particular member in the spa club. This was not the case with other staff members.
A very comfortable bed having to wait in line to get a breakfast table
Leisure facilities £15 to pay for car parking. No mention of this until we had arrived. Staff could be a little overzealous. We received the bill for our evening meal before we had had our dessert and coffee and our table was cleared while we were getting our cooked breakfast
I liked the atmosphere, facilities and the staff who were most helpful and friendly. I did experience some problems with accessing my room with the card that was provided to me. It often didn't work and this caused me some inconvenience. I would have been much better off with a good old fashioned key! However, the staff made every effort to resolve this problem by upgrading me to a different room with a sea view. I considered this to be outstanding customer service.
Everything lovely place to stay
good customer service rooms quite small
It is in a very good location and a charming old building The room had no windows, I thought we were in a storage cupboard, the shower kept changing temperature and the shower head kept falling down. The bed was tiny and hard. It was a really dreadful hotel.
The hotel was very comfortable. The service in the restaurant for breakfast was not good.
Received room upgrade. Very good service
Nice spacious room and spacious general areas staff were very obliging. Could not control temperature in room which got very hot. But in fairness that is a problem a lot of older hotels have.
old world charm but shows signs of fading service in Oscars restaurant fell well below expected standard
Seafront location Lack of car parking, room very old fashioned
Clean, modern and a nice atomsphere.
Indoor pool was lovely, and staff were very polite It was a hotel perhaps more suited to slightly older clients, and not a young family such as ours. Also, some of the details varried a little from those displayed on the internet, such as check in and check out times.
The view was spectacular, and that combined with a modern bar and restaurant is all you need from a hotel and tge Sutcliffe hotel provided. I sorely let down by the building it's self and the facilities it provides, the photos a taken in a way to make you believe everything Is a lot bigger than it really is. The corridors are small. And although I imagine the experience of being in a penthouse would be worth it all however we didn't get that opportunity and for the price we paid you would of thought we would have.
I liked the location and the staff were very cheerful, helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bar/lounge. I liked the continental breakfast but was not so keen on the 'full english'. The hotel could benefit with and up date, and a touch up on decor, using the lift was a bit of a nause, we were on the 4th floor, as it's used by cleaners/ staff taking luggage up and down which meant waiting for long periods when coaches arrived and departed and when the chambermaids were working.
Excellent room. vert good value
Nice location Poor service, rooms were ready 2 hours after checking in time, charged twice for rooms
Lots but especially leisure facilities - table tennis, pool etc. Lack of parking places
Good breakfast and lovely see views. I was very unhappy due to many reasons when I stayed at the Suncliff Hotel. I wil be making a complaint.
The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom also clean. Staff were all helpful and courteous. The location was excellent for the town centre. the rooms were fine, but ours had a vent outside, and pigeons obviously are a nuisance there. the hot water left a lot to be desired, there was not much of it. The stairs not too obvious to find.
Very disappointed see e-mail sent 26.9.10 to you Yes please see e-mail sent to you 26.9.10. I look forward to your full reply.
Comfortable with friendly service.
peace and quite the weather
Location to Milford on Sea as we were house hunting in the area The coffee- they need to learn to make espresso. The cost of the room was way overpriced for the quality provided.
Good sized room, excellent for the money. Matresses a bit tired.
Hotel was in pleasant surroundings, rooms were well furnished if a little tired. Staff seemed under pressure, we had dinner and wine was not opened for us there were knives missing. When spending £80 on a meal for two more services was expected. Also we had been given what was called a superior room but bathroom was in a time warp, suite was AVACADO
clean, food good bed not very comfortable, need extra pillows.
Our room was very spacious, and had a nice view over the gardens. Breakfast was excellent - proper pot of coffee and cups instead of filled mugs. Music on stereo during dinner - old Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.
Good food, pretty surroudings
The friendly, efficient manner that we recieved at reception and the excellent food, both at dinner and breakfast.
Everythihg was fine as we would expect
Use of the leisure facilities. The breakfasts The friendliness of the staff. Walking through the smoking zone when entering/leaving the hotel
The use of the leisure facilities and evening entertainment.
The room was clean and the bed was very comfy.Lovely swimming pool!!! Yes, the time of check-in- 2p.m., rather late.
The position of the hotel was very near the seafront and the centre of Bournemouth. The breakfasts were excellent and the swimming pool was very clean, warm and pleasant to use The hotel seemed over warm. It would benefit from an extensive update although it was all very clean, just dated and tatty (apart from the reception/bar area)
I travel to Dorset once a month and I always stay at the Wessex. Provides good value for money and its location is ideal for my purposes place is now starting to look and feel a bit jaded and could do with a bit of tlc
very good staff, excellent breakfast. the rooms were very dated and tired looking. bathrooms need to be updated
Location, parking, nice big room. The evening meal was spoilt by a foreign gentleman sitting next to our table who obviously had a cold, and with no regard for fellow diners, kept sniffing and making 'pig' like noises. In addition, some of the food was obviously microwaved and was very poor. The waitress also asked me to pay for the wine at the table! I've never had that before in a hotel restaurant. A bad meal all round.
comfort of bar area etc n/a
Room facilities were excellent N/A
lift too small
My wife and I both enjoyed our stay in an excellent sea facing room. The weather was good for the duration of our stay and the food was good. Service at the bar was spasmodic at times and on the last evening nobody was available to man it!!
Breakfast was nice. Good location. Nice sea view. Room decor/furniture old-fashioned. Ironing facilities were supposed to be available but i had to wait 1 and a half hours to have one brought to the room as lots of people wanted to use it apparently, so they should buy more!
2 good nights in a fine hotel
very friendly staff excellent breakfast choice the lift being out of order as we had a guest aged 75 who found it difficult, but she said it was fine and she was happy.
The first room we were shown was very small not like the picture the second room was the same but the third room was very spacious and airy we needed that as my wife dosnt like enclosed places and the staff at the hotel were very accomadating The food was out of this world
Sea view. Room and bed a good size for a single. (I expected a cupboard overlooking the car park) Staff helpful. Lift not working - did not affect me much but a lot of elderley people struggling with stairs.
Hotel was convenient to the sea front and local bus services. Restaurant food was good but we were over charged for dinner from that stated on the booking form. In general the restaurant staff were very good. Very poor bar service - bar tender serving wine without using measure - quite abrupt when challenged - management attitude was that they knew about this but he had been with them for 30 years. Don't understand what that has to do with making breaking the law acceptable - will be contacting Weights and measures - No offer of discount given - bad as cost of wine was £5.50 per glass. Also very poor that we had to go and find the bar staff almost every time we wanted a drink even though there was entertainment on on 2 nights. Same at lunch time. Rooms were very noisy and very hot as there was no air conditioning. If you opened the windows you were woken at 6.30 by the kitchen ventilation system being started.
Very frienly staff Poor decor throughout rooms, dirty swimming pool and just generally looking run down
Very close to the sea,we could use facilities from 2other sister hotels, indoor pool in case of bad weather, polite staff, parking spaces, Rooms are unbelievable small, walls were dirty, soap dispenser didn't work so I went to reception to ask for new one, they wrote it down a note but did nothing for the next 4days till we left,so I had to buy soap on my own
The food was excellent
The swimming facilities Took along time to be let in late at night
The lighting in the room was gloomy. The absence of a desk lamp is off- putting to the proffessional visitor who wishes to work on papers.
we have used a few hotels in bournemouth , but this is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at , the staff were exellent and we will definitley stay again owen & carol emmott everythin was brilliant
the resteraunt was very good there was a party in main dining area on saturday evening which finished at 1am we was not informed of this until our arrival.if i had known this i would have booked another hotel.as this was below my room.
Friendly staff and nice room, bar and general comfortable feel to the hotel
Staff very friendly and helpful Room was cold and damp on arrival - corrected with an additional heater
The girls on reception were very friendly and next morning when I asked directions to a particular shop, they looked it up on the computer and gave me the postal code so I could drive there to the nearest parking place. They were helpful and friendly, welcoming makes a difference. The young lady working in the bar the night before was also very friendly and accommodating I felt that the room was very cold when we entered, and I was cold during the night. The pillows were very uncomfortable and so was the bed. The meal in the restaurant was good but when I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar for my salad I was given white vinegar and red wine vinegar, the waiter did not know what was what. And how I hate making a fuss but felt I very uncomfortable with the couple opposite me looking as though (who does she think she is) it was only olive oil and vinegar. My glass of wine was forgotten for my meal and by the time it was realized it was too late as I did not wish to drink a glass of wine quickly.
stayed at hotel to see a show at the bic center the meal times ment that we could not eat at the hotel.also when we returned from the show there was some sort of do going on so could not even get a bar meal and near impossible to get a drink
Excellent breckfast selection. Helpful staff. Ideal location. Shower- broken shower head.
Good pool area, excellent staff with absolutely superb service. Room was a touch small.
The Croham is only a 5 minute walk to the town centre and is close to shops and just a small walk to the Beach. The hotel is undergoing what appears to be major refurbishments at the moment. Staff are friendly and polite. The Hotel appears very dirty. The walls and ceilings look damp, the carpet looks stained and the room we stayed in was freeeezing! After asking 3 time for the heating to be looked at, we were advised it would be looked into and was never sorted. Subsequently we had a freezing night. We did receive an apology on checkout however. I think they have refurbished half of the hotel at the moment and it seems it is luck of the draw as to which room you get. Parking is £3.50 which seems ridiculous. Why cant this be included in the prince?
Friendly staff Careful to ask for favors, they cost a lot there
Clean and tidy food good The decor in the romms was a bit tatty and worn
Good car parking.Friendly reception, ample hot water.
Having stayed at the Croham Hotel before i have always found it to be comfortable and conveniently located for the Town Centre . The staff are friendly and couteous and the rooms most of which have now been refurbished clean and comfortable. My last stay was with friends and family all of whom found the Hotel satisfactory for all their requirements. I certainly would have no hesitation in staying at the Croham again. Not really a complaint but an observation that it would be nice for toiletries, shower gel etc to be provided as they do in other Hotels.
Reception staff were friendly, hotel was clean. Breakfast service was very poor and very regimented. Room was tiny and bathroom was the size of a cupboard.
Cleanliness. Hot water. Breakfast great. Room tiny.
YHotel was very clean and tidy and the staff helpful. Car parking very handy for town center just a short walk to wake us up after sitting in the car for two hours! None
It was quitet and cleam. They did not provide small bottles of shampoo or shower gel. I kind of expect this from any hotel. When asked, I was told, no sorry, we do not have them.
Handy for visit to relations. Inexperienced bar man. Drinks very expensive. Noisy residents in middle of night.
Everything about this hotel was fabulous - the room (which was only bronze level but would be a gold the majority other hotels), the food was top notch and the spa was divine. On top of all that the hotel is in a fantastic location.
We liked the service and the fact that we were upgraded to a junior suite, even though you had to walk through the dining room to reach it. Dinner and breakfast were very disappointing and certainly not of 5-star standard. The meat was too tough and our cooked breakfast took over half an hour to arrive, although the dining room was half empty. We didn't like having dinner in the conservatory, rather than the main restaurant, as it was bleak and cold. When we had drinks in the bar, the nibbles were very poor and no napkins were provided. At our lunch in the lounge, no napkins were provided, until we asked.
We enjoyed the spa and also found the attention to detail and service by the staff to be of a very high quality. We were pleased that the rate offered meant that we were able to visit a hotel we had long wanted to visit. There was nothing we did not like about the hotel. However without a reduced rate this hotel would notmally be beyond the rpice we would want to spend.
Beautifull place, service top quality, room top quality, food top quality : its very difficult to do much better The price of course but it is pobably in this case linked to the quality of the place.
We have visited before and loved the location and now we have stayed we look forward to future visits.
No Bath in room
Staff service, food quality. Room too warm and bed uncomfortable
Service Should have a kettle in the room
Staff very friendly without being overpowering, food excellent, spa facilities very good. Overall a very relaxing weekend
the excellence of the service, the spa, location the restaurant was not up to its usual standard
The rooms were very stylish and comfortable. The restaurants food and service was fantastic.
This hotel is a beautifully furnished designer hotel. On the edge of the New Forest the grounds are considerable. Added to this the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food, (we dined at the restaurant on both nights) this Hotel is fantastic, We were sorry to leave! NO
Excellent location, beautiful room and amazing food bed a little hard - everything else very good.
On our arrival we had coffee in the bar area and was greeted by a friendly barman. We booked the restaurant in the conqueror for both nights of our stay as it was fantastic. The food, staff and efficiency was excellent. Our waitress Amy, for the two nights was brilliant she really looked after us, we couldn't have asked for more, she was very sweet. We will definitely be returning to the hotel and recommending it. There wasn't a manual or folder in hotel room, giving details about the hotel or what time breakfast was. The receptionist had already given us the time of breakfast, so that wasn't a problem. Receptionist did give us a printout of restaurant menu which was helpful.
good service, excellent breakfast, too stylish exspecially aroma design.
Beautiful rooms, extremely helpful and friendly staff Not a bad comment but something to be aware of, there are no cots available on site
Our stay at East Close was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lady that served breakfast each morning. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a lack of sockets next to the dressing table, which made using the hairdryer and kettle difficult. The shower wasn't that powerful. We were surprised that in such a nice hotel, there was no bath to relax in.
Got upgraded, curtains lush, breakfast good, brilliant having bath and shower Too many mirrors, corner by the wardrobe wasted
Beautiful house very tastefully restored and decorated. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Hotel was cold
Excellent Hotel & Bar with very friendly & helpful staff Room was very hot and traffic noise made it difficult to leave any windows open
all staff were friendly, professional, smart, polite and helpful. The whole hotel was extremely fresh and clean.
The food was excellent, service very good. We booked on a Sunday because your site said that functions were only on Friday/Saturdays. We were disappointed to find that there was a function on the Sunday of our visit, which was very noisy until at least midnight.
Room was reasonably big, breakfast was nice. Staff was very friendly. Very good location. It was, in lack of a better word, very ordinary. Some noise from nearby road, though not too disturbing.
We were very pleased with the facilities and all the staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area. No
Excellent location for new forest trip and excellent food.
Dinner was very good. Parking area was a mess. Staff serving in restaurant were doing so with shirts not tucked into their trousers properly. Untidy !! Hotel backdoor entrance ( only one available ) gives impression of backpackers' hotel. Entrance carpets were dirty. On arrival I was asked by the lady- receptionist to pay. I gave the £ 90 in cash with request to remove my credit card details from file on front desk. This was refused with reference to a story that there are people sneaking out of the hotel at 5 am without paying. The person called Danni (?)went away three times to call the manager, who never turned up. Having suffered theft from my credit card once before ( £5,800 ) I prefer to pay cash. Inflexible/hostile attitude of Dani was not appreciated.
Second visit and breakfast still good This time different room. Most uncomfortable mattress, no remote control for TV and no blind in bathroom window overlooking car park!
Very good service
The Beaulie inn next door 1. breakfast was poor, dinner overpriced, garden rooms are garagesfacing the mainline and thin walls, everyone can hear everyone, no AC in the rooms, old appliances, peeling walls inthe shower, no water pressure in the shower
The breakfast was first class and its nice to find someone who makes scrabbled eggs just right... The meanness of the towels in the bathroom - too small and thin - big and fluffy should be the target
Size of room (family) Halls and room walls in need of redecorating/plastering
The service was excellent and the staff friendly and polite
Helpful staff, delicious breakfast The bathroom was very shabby, seemed to be limited parking, the walls in our room were so thin we could hear the conversation in the room next to us
Staff were very friendly, and the excellent breakfast.
Good breakfast, clean room value for money Bathroom badly needed updating, bath very rough and sealant needed re doing i would not like to bath but shower was ok
The breakfast was very good, excellent selection and the waiting staff were helpful. We chose this hotel on the basis that it was advertised as disabled friendly & we specifically made a request for a room with disabled access. We were placed in a room on the third floor which was quite large but to get to it involved using two lifts and two ramps one of which was far too steep to be negotiated without assistance. My wife uses an "Acitive" wheelchair which is smaller than most and yet it would not fit through the door of the bathroom in our room. If you are a wheelchair user I would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for your accomodation. We tried to lodge a formal complaint whilst at the hotel but were advised to do so in writing which is what we will do.
Staff was nice Room too dark, tern coulours
Friendly, efficient and comfortable. Good hot buffet style English breakfast. Constant low background noise from air-con plant throughout the night.
Spacious room even for 4 of us(3 beds not bunk). Breakfast. Swimming pool. Friendly staff.
Crowds of people smoking on hotel reception steps, this was intimidating and made access very difficult as stepping over people seemed to br the only way to get into the hotel.
Staff were pleasant. Nice comfy seating areas. Dood breakfast. Bar prices were too expensive. Five pounds for two cups of coffe and a Snickers bar.
Rooms not been decorated for decades, paint peeling off walls, unclean (hairs in bathroom and suspicious marks on wall next to bed). Staff attitude is 'you get what you see'. Had I paid half the price it wouldn't have been an issue but £140 per night was a total rip off. Carpets falling off stairs which is a safety hazard, someone get trapped in lift - faulty towers hotel experience. Doors were so heavy that they slam all morning so lie in wasn't possible. Everything. Only slight plus was beds were more comfortable than they looked. Some of the junior staff were polite enough but the Manager wasn't sympathetic when I complained. Won't be staying at the Roundhouse again.
Location Staff were rude, hotel was diry the bath room had not been cleaned.
Good breakfasts. Good location within easy reach of beach, shops and railway station. Cleanliness of bathroom could have been better.
We enjoyed our full english breakfast . I booked a twin room and got a triple room. The room was drafty and cold due to windows being old and you could hear the noise of traffic at night . suggest put new double glaze windows and all heat was lost .
Excellent value for money
Location and car parking i know the room was cheap but the room didn't feel clean. Breakfast was very strange - no toast only baked crunchy bread!!
There is nothing special or actually good about the roundhouse The following are a list of issues with the particular stay in this hotel.
Very friendly helpful staff made our stay very enjoyable. We hope to go for a longer stay next time Would have liked a la carte as well but not complaining as food was very good
Locality, Room was dirty, smelled, I had to wash bath out before using, very tatty room. Better price available if you just turned up. Not a plesant stay and if I was not running late I would have walked out
Location: close to station, town center, etc. within the walking distant; Breakfast: Excellent; No free wireless internet.
near to the beach needs to be up dated starting to look old
Spacious hotel, with lots to offer, good cooked breakfast Decor dated inside, csrpets needed replacing and beds and bedding was old and very uncomfortable
very enjoyable stay, only ten min.walk to beach or shops.
The hotel was very very tired, uncared for with dirty bathrooms it the rooms. The beds were old with body indents in them and tatty bed clothes.
nice big room & comfortable bed. good location for what we wanted. helpful staff when we had a problem with the bathroom. the bathroom wasnt very good. toilet didnt flush but they did rectify it while we were out & a bit dirty.
Dining room staff were pleasant and efficient without being intrusive, reception staff, were friendly and very helpful. Disappointed that there appeared to have little choice of bread at breakfast eg no croissants or rolls( but it could have been me that didn't see them) Mattress was nice and firm although it did feel a bit lumpy in places.
The rooms were clean well decorated, comfy and warm on a cold winters day Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly
Good standard overall. Good location Nothing
We came for the weekend with friends & to take in a show, found the whole experience relaxing friendly & food great, We did however find the bar drinks very expensive.
The room was nice, the food was ok, the swimming pool was pleasent but that was about it. We found a number of staff members to be quite rude, patronising and condersending which ruined
The hotel's position and the restaurant and bar The rooms were a bit tired. There were no biscuits or shower cap which I would have expected.
Hotel and room clean and warm and adequate. Breakfast good Although a warning was given water took a long time to heat up (more than 10 minutes for shower) and then only luke warm
Relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff, good meals and good value for money Food portions a bit small
The bed. The view of sea. The alfresco eating around the pool The abcence of a shower. The lack of promised sauna in facilities advertised in sister hotel.
Location was excellent and great value for money. Luxury stay and would definitely stay again. Added bonus of being upgraded but that shows the excellent customer service provided, would definitely recommend to friends and family
Opulent public areas, excellent staff
yes as previous reviews - lift scary. hot water very hot and could not cool down shower. cold water warm. toilet cistern took long time to refill,
The room was fantastic and very comfortable Breakfast was very disappointing, not very edible
The shower was cold,in both rooms that i booked, & the radiator did not work in room 203
Sea view, pibic areas had been extensively refurbished. the bedrooms were not of a similar standard as the public areas and are in need of refurbishment.
Good location, great view from room with balcony and very friendly staff.
Food good but very small meau for dinner
Nice location, nice bar/grill
Hotel is in a wonderful location with wonderful views and is up to the usual Marriott standard of rooms which we like and have become accustomed to and with such comfortable beds On Sunday we were shocked to hear that they had run out of most things from the bar menu because they had been busy over Xmas!!! Surely the Catering Manager knew Xmas was coming! A section of the restaurant had been closed off that night so we were unable to get a table and had to leave the hotel to go and find something to eat which was most inconvenient as my wife was not feeling too well and it was freezing outside. Also found out when having drinks at the bar that you had run out of crips/nuts for a few weeks - again surely someone can go down to the local supermarket!
Too short a stay to make comments worthwhile Ordered a taxi - it didn't arrive on time and I had to ask again!
Location is great for beach, walks, cafe, restaurants and shops.
The hotel position by the sea front Piped music was very irritating
Service of staff really very good.
defineetly i will come again............wonderfull place,nice staff
nothing too much trouble watered down orange juice at breakfast
The cleanliness and convenient location
rooms slightly over priced.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff were friendly. It was rather noisy during the night. We were disturbed at 2am by a couple arguing loudly and again at 3.50 am by people returning from a night club trying to access our room. So consequently we hardly slept on the first night of our stay. This was the only thing we did not like about the hotel.
Everything about the hotel was excellent, friendly staff, good facilities and very clean, I will definitely return again and recommend this hotel to everybody. nothing
The staff were very polite and welcoming, the rooms were modern and tidy and the breakfast service was very good.
Breakfast was good , and the showers were excellent. Reception staff were very friendly the air con wasnt working , ordered a sandwich and 30mins later still not arrived
Besides excellent standard of facilities (shower/heating/TV/wifi/workarea) the hotel has a simple, modern fresh design throughout.
On Business Would have liked more choice of evening meals
Location, excellent value for money Pillows too hard
comfortable relaxed atmosphere, close to activities, excellent breakfast and service
location and facilities on site, both the so bar and 1812 are excellent, didnt need to leave the hotel.
Central Location , Nice room. In general the hotel was very pleasant Bathroom was antiquated.
Staff were polite and efficient
Very friendly and pleasant staff, lovely room and cocktail bar excellent and great breakfast and convenient to town for shopping. Nothing to dislike. Have recommended hotel to friends and will definitely be going back.
Easy access to every where such as BIC, beach and shopping
comfortable freindly atmospere all satisfactory
We were upgraded and stayed in the Saturn Suite. The food and drinks at 1812 were superb; staff was very friendly; great location, close to the shops, pier, BIC; room was spacious and clean, easily accessible parking. Having to walk for five minutes to get to our room, after opening five fire doors and having to go down stairs - that was a pain. Upon our arrival, around 1 a.m., we asked for some water and what we got was a plastic jar with water where ice and several other, unidentified objects were floating in it. Of course we didn't drink it and we didn't have the strength to head back to the reception, so the first night was hell on earth. Also, while the hotel advertises free wi-fi there was no signal in the room and we had to use the lobby.
Luke warm shower
the amazing cocktail bar the cocktail staff
The service was very good, with all the staffs available and ready when needed. the comfort was far above the price paid for. I would definitely recommend people to experience and i will definitely like to stay to the same hotel if i have to visit the city again.
Staff very efficient. Liesure facilities excellent. Room clean good value for money. Restaurant basic. Food basic. Menu basic. presentation of bar food basic. Bar food poor. Garden furniture plastic not inviting. Disabled room offered no window.
Room was very spacious Cost of food.
Yes - no car parking space
The pool and jacuzzi were excellent
Friendly staff, cheap, nice food .
The twin room was a good size with adequate facilities. The price was raised up for the bank holiday.
The convenience of the heated swimming pool in Autumn, close to shops & beach for walking. The Bar menu appears to have been changed since my Grandson & I came down earlier this year and it is not a good or varied as it was.
I really enjoyed using the pool but I did not appreciate having to pay extra to use it. Paying for swimming pool facilities. Befro side lights not bright enough to read under !
The location The tv in the room didn't work, the breakfast wasn't great, the bread was mouldy and the fried food was tepid. the area of the hotel we were in smelt funny. But you get what you pay for, i guess!
Although it seemed a slightly shabby on first impression the bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom spotless. Good breakfast Nothing particularly
Staff attentive, looked to be hard-working. Moved from Maemar to Lloyd hotel (overbooked in Maemar?). Lloyd hotel hosted a rugby squad on 2nd night - bedlam overnight and in morning. Room hastily prepared (used as staff room?) thick mat of grey hair in shower outlet.
Close to town centre & beach. Hotel also had a nice bar The room & staff attitude
Straightforward to book and to reach Good value for money Good buffet breakfast Some fittings were a little worn
Central location Shower not working, kept running cold
I stayed in this hotel on a single room, for 4 nights on business trip. I paid for Room+Breakfast, but never had a single breakfast from the hotel throughout my stay because this hotel refused to serve breakfast earlier than 8am; while I had to leave for work half an hour before then. I asked for refund on breakfast, but was never given any. The room and toilet/bathroom are dirty, very outdated, and very small, one can hardly move in it. From my horrible experience in this hotel I definitely will not recommend it to anyone.
Very tolerant towards guests.Rather laisez faire.Brillient place for young people as nightclub just down road.I liked the fact I was refunded money as my friend found it too noisy to stay.Ideal place for fun lovers. The hotel was fair for the money.I would have stayed as it was fine but there was a party of young men on a stag night which made it very noisy. Also the nightclub at the church down the road was awful.Normally noise doesnt bother me but I was playing chess and needed to sleep better.Walls seem very thin and this could cause embarassment
Peace and quiet away from noise,Freedom to come and go,The really excellent weather.
Neatness, cleanliness, fittings
