9.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked bridal suite for our first anniversary. Bottle of champagne in the room was a lovely touch. Staff always really friendly
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spot with beautiful grounds and easy walk to isle of wight ferry and train to lymington. Food was very good and that's saying something when your husband used to be a chef! Our room was very well decorated and nice and snug, certainly not tired as some other reviews indicated. Lovely stay.
Cons: Bit of a cold walk from the bedrooms to restaurant, but at least the sun was shining for us. It's a pity theres not more room around the indoor pool for loungers and/or chairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a beautiful location, the grounds were amazing... can’t fault anything about my stay. Will definitely be going back there
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and Evening meals good choice and very nice though not very substantial.
Cons: Wine extortionate and unreasonably so, even when you take into account the mark-up hotels and restaurants place on wine!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Great charismatic property.
Cons: Weather. No hot water in the morning.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were very kind, helpful and quick respond to requests - ie I asked to swap the feather pillows for anti-allergen ones and that happened almost as I was getting back to the room.
Cons: I honestly felt that we were somewhat mis-sold on this one. I believed that we'd be staying in a room in the stunning Tudor building that is Elmers Court rather than in the chalet-style accommodation in the grounds. I found out, when asking at the desk, that the rooms in what I assumed was the hotel, are all timeshares rather than hotel accommodation. The main gripe was the bathroom. It was not dirty, just not in good repair. Silicone/sealant had degraded meaning dark/mouldy patches between the bath and the wall. We found that the chalet style accommodation block had no internal corridor so all the rooms were back-to-back meaning noise traveled! Also, the rooms on the 1st floor are accessed by ladder-type staircases that go up above the windows/entry for the rooms below. It just makes it noisy at night. It was the most expensive of three hotels we visited in the area and was the only one which we didn't come away from having loved it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good selection of breakfast food. From a continental to a full English. The Scrambled eggs were fantastic, they must have been made with cream.
Cons: Their was nothing we didn't like
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was passable with a good selection. My main comment is the plates were cold and the cooked breakfast was luke warm. Scrambled egg was overdone and no option for a fried egg. Evening meal was lovely.
Cons: I did not realise the rooms were in blocks away from the main building. Not really a problem but had to go outside when freezing to get to restaurant.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location, very friendly and attentive staff, parking available, shortbread and bottled water in the room. Nice bar / lounge area. Wifi available. Evening meal really, really good!
Cons: Cooked breakfast wasn't great, assume this was as quiet time. Continental buffet was fine.
7.9 Good
Pros: Decor, furnishings and excellent food. Sauna and pool.
Cons: Design of bathroom ie. Toilet too close to door swing. Sadly unavoidable in the case of room 108.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The layout of the hotel with different rooms to relax in was ideal for us.

9.0 Excellent
Cons: I would move there if I could. I loved it.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was beautiful
Cons: I've emailed and had no response but I pre booking asked hotel about gf breakfast and on the two mornings was told I could only have rice krispies which when checking contained barley malt and gluten so I had orange juice, I was allergic to the pillows with duck feathers told they would be changed and they werent and Lee booking asked for a low ground room as have MS and was given the top floor up 4 sets of spiralling stairs, room was beautiful though
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room Food Staff 10/10
Cons: Excellent top marks Highly recommended
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very quaint & charming pub in a good location in Lymington. I was met with a very warm, friendly and smiling welcome by Olivia and her colleague. The room was very comfortable even though the floor & walls were uneven! Not surprising as the building dates back to the late 1600’s! The food was excellent as was the service. The decor looks a little bit tired & dated in some places but this will not stop me from going back there again.

7.0 Good
Pros: Good for the function we attended.
Cons: Room was a little 'tired'. The bed could have been more comfortable. Stayed at a 'Premier Inn' the week before and the bed there was far superior and the room was half the price of the South Lawn Hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, very dog-friendly hotel. Great facilities, large rooms, fantastic food, very friendly & helpful staff. Good location.
Cons: More ground floor rooms with direct access to outside.

Cons: Nothing I can think of!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Locality to Milford on Sea was brilliant, room was lovely and the view over the field was peaceful. Receptionist and staff very helpful
Cons: Unfortunately the floor in the restaurant hadn’t been hoovered and bits of food was still on it from the night before however the breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted so good that made up for it. The carpet on the stairs was frayed but didn’t upset the look of the hotel which was festive and very welcoming.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for us - we wanted to be around Milford. Hotel, reception, room and bed, bar staff were all extremely good Breakfast was not so good -- 'fresh fruit' tasted out of a tin. Porridge was lumpy and tasteless. croissants looked as bad as those on a ferry crossing. But that's not a huge issue for me - I'd come back for the hotel itself.

Pros: Beautiful and stunning property, surrounded by nature and very close to the town centre, where you can find lovely shops and restaurants. The room was super clean, comfortable and cosy, so it was ideal to rest after a long day out. There were many options for breakfast but they always made sure to cater for your individual requirements. Liese is a great host and she is always giving you tips and advise for you to enjoy your stay in New Forest, but especially she makes you feel at home. I would highly recommend Leyland Country House.

Pros: 24 hour reception could accommodate a late check in. receptionist was nice. restaurant seemed good although i didn't eat there.
Cons: nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: Well located, staff were helpful - can’t fault them
Cons: Very rowdy guests that kept us up until 2am - luckily one staff member did come up and tell some of them off who were blasting out music and screaming. The room was quite disappointing, small, tired, very weak shower, not particularly clean (skid marks in the toilet is pretty unacceptable), pretty poor all over. Breakfast was also not included because we booked via booking.com which I thought was a bit tight.

Cons: It was perfect
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view across to the Needles. In rhe main rooms on ground floor the staggs heads made of wood and covered in patterned wallpaper. A refreshing change from real dust covered animal heads, with staring eyes.
Cons: No lift, but completely accept that such an old period building would be difficult to install one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super location food and staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, food and room were fantastic.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The delicious fresh pink grapefruit and extremely fresh croissants.
Cons: The shower was absolutely awful. We should have said at the time but I was preoccupied with my husband’s wellbeing and we were there to visit my 93 year old mother in a nearby home. I do think it very odd that the shower problem has not been addressed/reported before. The extremely high standards otherwise maintained in the hotel do not really explain this.

Staff was very sweet, nice and helpful. We all loved the breakfast! We did appreciate the quality of it a lot.
Cons: Hotel didn’t have mattress for the baby cot. Even though we tried to cover wooden base of the cot with the duvet it was uncomfortable for the little one to sleep. Just could fall asleep.

Cons: The stairs to the room (only to be expected in an old property). The small double bed. The fact that, because it was a sleigh type bed, we couldn't see the television when lying in bed. Needs to be wall mounted.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome by the owner, Sharon, who made us feel at home. She explained the arrangements for breakfast and gave us local information. The room was spotless, tastefully modern with the most comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, good choice of cereals etc as well as cooked options. The best B&B we've stayed in. Highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was a miserable guest...at first. I arrived with my wife after having driven down from London in the rain and dark. I was also quite sick with an increasingly bad cold. Both Apple maps and Google maps showed the Amberwood on the wrong side of the street (since corrected, I've been told) and I had fits finding the Amberwood. I'm a bit ashamed I took out my frustration on Sharon, the innkeeper. In fact, I phoned her while searching out the location and rather cheekily offered to buy her a "real sign" (her sign is perfectly adequate). Sharon was very patient and understanding and simply showed us the rooms she had available (both were very nice), offering us our choice. We chose the larger "family room". Everything was perfect. Clean, a very comfortable bed, nice bathroom with full tub and shower, plus a lovely view into Sharon's backyard (very pleasant). We were in town for a wedding at Pylewell Park and had need of a steam iron to touch up formal wear. No problem and a fine setup at that. The breakfast was pretty much whatever you could want and the coffee (lots of it) was superb. Sharon, thank you very much for your kindness and gracious manner. 10 minutes after settling in I was completely content and knew we had made a great choice in lodging.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was located in a pleasant area outside of Lymington. The location was a little too far to walk into the town especially as the weather was poor. The room was presented in immaculate order and was bright and very comfortable. The host was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was located in a small dining area that was a little cramped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room, very spacious with a great view out to the garden. There is a breakfast room with a great selection and a fabulous cooked breakfast. Beds are comfy, slept like a log, very pleased.
Cons: No dislikes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Need bigger shower and shampoo stuff, but could have asked for more and didn’t. Shower temperature varied - but again we’re not used to that sort of shower. Just very minor niggles
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very large en-suite room on the ground floor overlooking the back garden - mainly to lawn, with a double bed and 2 single beds.. The room was airy and very nicely decorated. Fresh milk was offered on our arrival for our tea.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly owners.

Pros: I absolutely love interior of the hotel and the room I did stay in! Adorable! I love interior pieces, marine pictures on the walls, the sound and view of burning wood in the fire places.
