Some good, some not
The room is clean and comfortable. The staff has mostly been friendly and helpful. The location is convenient.
The different front desk people had different understanding of policy. We booked the first night through Kayak, so it was pre-paid. We ended up needing to add another night, so we did that at the front desk when we checked in. The desk clerk scanned my credit card for it, said that took care of everything, but since the second night was a separate reservation, we should check at the desk in the morning to get our key cards renewed. When we came back to the desk in the morning, the new clerk insisted on scanning the card again. I showed her the transaction from the night before and told her what the first clerk said. She said the first clerk was mistaken, and we had only paid the charge for incidentals, which was the same as the full room rate plus fees, and we still had to scan again to pay for the room. She said this was "policy," nothing she could do, so sorry for the inconvenience (how many times have I heard that? Insincere as ever). She said the block for the incidental charge would be removed 3-5 business days AFTER WE CHECKED OUT. How nice. So if we need the money in the meantime while we're traveling, for lodging or food or other such apparently non-essential items, too bad for us, as long as this hotel is protected. Do I feel blindsided? You bet. Am I ticked off? For sure. Will I stay here again? Not likely.
