10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food also was excellent and adjoining restaurant
Cons: gin and tonic was overpriced
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed was really comfortable, but we had been upgraded to a superior room. There was only about a dozen people in the hotel. All were attentive but we were the only people there and not many people to look after.
Cons: Couldn’t say as we were so few staying there they gave us their full attention.
9.7 Excellent

6.0 Good
Pros: Nice sized room.
Cons: I didn't enjoy struggling to hear the TV over the noise of the lift. I didn't sleep much because the noise of the lift woke me up quite a lot of the time throughout the night. We were on the 6th floor and the noise from the street was still quite loud.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: As you walk in tge lobby decor was nice best thing about the hotel
Cons: Rooms were scruffy
7.0 Good
Cons: The mattress was a bit hard. Drinks in the bar rather pricy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Is very clean hotel. Old but nice and confy
Cons: Some people in other rooms make noise, but is a good hotel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are comfortable, staff are very friendly, kept clean.
Cons: Stayed on the 6th floor, very good location and lovely room but the door/windows to the balcony didn’t seem to stop much noise coming through, so could hear a lot of shouting/vehicles etc quite loudly from my room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The cleanliness
Cons: No air con, or windows, I had a bath which was very clean and then went out came back and it was sooo hot in the room, the little fan which was provided just blew warm air out, the bed was like concrete
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location couldn't be better, in central Birmingham, literally just outside the rail station. The room was rather tired but reasonably well presented and the price was very good indeed for a weekend.
Cons: It is a very busy hotel so be prepared to queue for a while at reception. There was only one lift working for seven floors when I stayed so there was a lot of waiting for that. I noticed silverfish running around in the bathroom, something which really should be treated.
6.0 Good
Pros: We stayed for one night, paid £40 so couldn't moan at that as other hotels in the city were much more. Rooms are very basic and you get what you paid for
Cons: Hotel seems to be stuck in the 70s with the decor, we had a room with no window and air con decided to turn itself off half way through the night.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location. Cheap price.
Cons: Dated and old the room, but the price of room reflects this, very cheap.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Value for money , night security very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: The welcome I got by one particular member of staff was atrocious, made me wait , didn’t welcome me or acknowledge me or wish me a pleasant stay . What a bad advert she was for your hotel. If I walked into your hotel and she was behind the counter I’d walk back out , and the lifts been broke for 3 weeks which is outrageous
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location, some charm in old fashioned style.
Cons: 1 out of only 2 Elevators was out of service for the whole 3 days! Long waits. The remaining elevator at times had erratic functioning. No wifi in the room. Rooms are very old (some were being refreshed - paint only I think..), and run down
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Dirty, unpleasant smells,
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Convenient location for Birmingham new street station but at night it doesn’t feel safe
Cons: My first room was unbearably hot with no air conditioning, fan or even a window. I then asked to be moved to another room which in turn smelled badly of cigarettes. The room was old and dirty. Wifi is only available in the lobby and reception areas. Breakfast was overpriced for what it was and I wish I’d gone to McDonalds for breakfast instead. I wouldn’t stay there again even at a low price.

Cons: Nothing really .just road works around the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Luxury and modern styling, lovely lobby, restaurant and classy bar, clean and felt quality, professional and smart staff
Cons: The drunk young italian thug at the bar....... The lack of free satellite tv channels...... Plus the parking that had to be in the NCP around the corner was closed at 11pm when I got back to the hotel!
7.9 Good
Pros: Very modern and comfortable rooms and good gym facilities and staff were friendly.
Cons: Just didn’t understand how it’s £120 a night, nothing major about the facilities and when that doesn’t include breakfast really poor. The room was modern but not £120s worth, little things like dirty marks on the door, not a back on the remote, bathroom always got soaked when we had a shower. I’d stay again for a cheaper price but I wouldn’t be paying £120 per night
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and tidy.. staff was polite apart from one of the receptionist on night duty.. The door staff was brilliant..
Cons: Got told that we was not allowed to use the gym, swimming pool and spa as was all booked up.
4.0 Okay
Cons: I thought the hotel and rooms needs freshening up carpets stained decor aged , room was very basic for a 4 star hotel
7.9 Good

8.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are great and the food in the resturant was billiant. Easy 10 minute walk to Birmingham International rail station and NEC. Plenty of parking for the rooms available. Common areas have been updated and are bright, clean and plesant.
Cons: Internet slow (but reliable) , room was a bit dated and bathroom needed a little TLC but clean and functional. some rooms are very close to busy A45 but more than adaque sound proofing as long as you don't expect to have your windows open, there is no Air Conditining so this can make regulating the room tempreach a balancing act.
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Not much really, the breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: Our room was double booked, an irritation but these things happen. We came back from our evening out and were promised a room had been sorted, we went upstairs and walked in on another guest sleeping! Fortunately they extremely calm but this is completely unacceptable. We then tried another room and the same thing happened! Finally on the third attempt and after an hour of waiting we were provided a room. This has completely ruined my hotel experience and simply cannot recommend this hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Gym and pool very good
Cons: Cleanliness not great - dirty hand prints on wall behind bed (room 146). Cobwebs in bar area. Cold or at best tepid water both in the evening and morning of our stay
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The room service and food were quite pleasant and definitely recommended. I would also suggest a visit to the bar - Sit down, relax. I just loved the entire atmosphere.

6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Blocked toilet & broken kettle & no shower gel
6.0 Good
Pros: Lovely hotel in nice surroundings and friendly staff.
Cons: Very expensive but chose to stay as it said we could walk to the nec for crufts, however in the morning the passage ways through were closed so had to drive and pay extra for parking after already paying an arm and a leg for the hotel. Plus other dogs were barking all night which set ours off so we slept terribly!
7.0 Good
Pros: the room was very clean and tidy. the staffs are very helpful and polite. would love to go back for another Break.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Rooms very clean & staff were very nice
Cons: hotel itself is a bit tired looking & could do with a bit of a refurb.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a great location for the NEC and the airport with free parking and within walking distance. The rooms are nice spacious and clean. I've stayed here 5 times now
Cons: I have to say that this time we found the hotel cold. From arriving the room was cold turned the heating up but took several hours to get just warm. Went down to the bar which was also cold. I said to the barman how cold it was and he agreed it was and turned the heating up but with the doors continually opening and one remaining constantly open with the temerature outside -2C it wasn't comfortable most people had their coats on. The same the next morning in the breakfast room I could feel the cold air on my feet and legs!

Pros: Breakfast fabulous
Cons: Price of drinks far too expensive compared to other hotels Had a lunchtime ham sandwich No butter ,? Insufficient seating for breakfast to accommodate customers Had to wait for a seat and then oobtain extra chairs from different parts of restaurant hence food was cold
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room and friendly staff
Cons: 11am check out time. Difference of opinion between day and night staff on check out times
5.0 Okay
Pros: Reception staff were pleasant Mand gave us a full informed debrief and offered any help they could during our stay. Loved the room, we stayed on the top floor - Really loved the views and the room. Food at breakfast was fantastic and well worth the money.
Cons: Around 30 minutes after settling into our room a member of staff decided to let themselves into our room without knocking... totally unprofessional and completely unacceptable. Only realised we were in the room after I asked what on Earth she was doing. She had come to change the bin in our bathroom, and asked if it was inconvenient for us she could return to do it the next day... really?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was exceptional very very helpful and understanding. They accommodated my needs and facilitated to my needs as I travelled from Manchester to see my son which i was at tje Hotel for 12.30pm as they let me check in and freshen up early and was understanding. Also give me a room with a sofa in it as I asked if there was one so me and my son who's 5 years old could sit down and talk ect which they did everything they could for me at no extra cost. I have stayed at loads of hotels all over counter and in Birmingham. I lot of them have been part of the Hilton Honers. This one was the first time at the Hampton Hotel have stayed at others in Birmingham. Definitely will be coming back soon.

Cons: The food was cold and disappointing
7.4 Good
Pros: Great location, staff very helpful
Cons: The hot breakfast was below the standard I expect for the Hilton.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Wifi was better than I had anywhere else in UK but not good. Food was good even though costly. People were nice. Pleasant experience.
Cons: Stayed in 4204, couldnt close the window. Toilet wouldnt flush. Bed was worse than anticipated. TV was bad quality.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very nice restaurant. Close to NEC.
Cons: Very pricey. You pay for the brand and location but facilities don't differ from other 3* hotels in the area. I would say the rooms a bit dated especially the bathroom. Absolutely not a good value for money. We stay here only because of location (close to NEC). The brand new hotel even closer to NEC can be a serious competition. Hilton must improve its facilities or change the prices policy.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The price was excellent and included breakfast and free cancellation.
Cons: The room was basically fine but I feel that all the bedrooms could be given an update.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: exellent breakfast
Cons: Keys did not work. Not enough staff at the reception
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We went during a very quiet period due to the Coronavirus and the staff were absolutely amazing! They couldn't do enough for us, we went via shuttle to the train station and instead of waiting half an hour they took us straight away and then on the way back we phoned them and they picked us up straight away. He also offered to take us to another shopping area as he wasn't busy! We got room service which came very quickly and was so delicious. Everywhere was clean and nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic!
Cons: Coffee could have been cheaper at £5
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was fine. We were given admission to the "free meals" in the executive lounge, the breakfast was particularily good AJAY ON RECEPTION WAS MOST PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL
Cons: All OK FOR US
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room service was excellent!

Within a 10-minute walk of Birmingham's leading attractions, ibis Budget Birmingham Centre is home to 250 en suite rooms, including our award-winning, well-appointed comfortable rooms which allow us to offer some of the best room rates in the city centre.
7.7 Good
Pros: The location is very convenient and the area seemed generally safe. It was under a ten minute walk to train station, bullring and Mailbox district. The decor is fresh, new and well maintained. I was impressed how much they seem to have invested in lighting. It was quite sophisticated and for a small room there were several different options and it created a relaxing environment. They are a green hotel and leave reminders to switch off lights and reuse towels. It was good to see that they care about our environment. Overall, it is great value for money and I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The room seemed really clean except for the floor. It wasn't exactly dirty, it just didn't seem like it had been swept properly. The shower unit was a bit weird as it is separate from the toilet and the door is opaque and opens up right into the bedroom. This wouldn't be a problem for a solo traveler or a couple (to be fair this was a room with only one double bed) however I'm sure in some situations this would be awkward. However, these are really minor things and really didn't bother me. The pros definitely outweigh the cons for this hotel.
6.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Very basic, doesn’t even have shower gel. Poor views
1.0 Poor
Cons: Housekeeping opened our room 3 times in 2 hours while we were clearly sleeping and still checked in despite us saying “please hold on” they still barged in and would look surprised and then walk back out without an apology or anything! Absolutely worst behaviour from any hotel! How can you feel comfortable sleeping or doing anything when they just open the door and fully come inside the room despite you saying WAIT?! Never returning.
7.0 Good
Pros: Value and Location
Cons: A little basic, no kettle in the room
7.0 Good
Pros: Ideal location, not far from centre. Comfy bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location
Cons: Good location the staff was friendly good price to

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room for organizing repacking to travel. Sufficient places to sit at dinner for a single person. Excellent personnel response in replacing burnt out light bulb. Location wrt airport and railroad. Value based on my particular reservation was good. I was paying out of personal pocket. But I would return for the same price. No bright LEDs to disturb my sleep Nice breakfast.
Cons: Nothing bad No sign if water in fridge is free (many hotels charge for this) I would like decaf earl grey for room to help sleep Burger at dinner. Glad that this was well-done. But the bun was very dry. Needed a nice sauce to make it all more moist and flavorful. Restaurant did not seem to know if a British beer: ale was available. Yes I liked the ale provided but the server did not know about it. It would be good if there are real British ales on tap instead of the usual corporate beers. Is it possible to get United miles for staying at Novotel? This Would influence my decisions. John Taylot
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel, exceptionally clean and rooms very comfortable. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. All staff friendly and efficient. Thank you
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an early morning flight, so being just across from the departure area was hugely convenient. Check in and check out were both quick and convenient.
Cons: The rooms were reasonable, however couldn't be described as spacious. For the price and convenience this wasn't unexpected though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice big room, comfy bed.
Cons: Nothing not to like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to the airport
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly check in staff member. Very efficient and informative. Very nicely appointed room. Comfortable bed and great shower.
Cons: The entrance to the hotel from the airport is not well signed or visible so could do that better. We were walking around in the rain looking for the entrance. However once found everything else was excellent.
7.9 Good
Pros: Proximity to the Airport.Staff were courteous..Room was super clean & bed was comfortable.Window opened slighty which I always appreciate access to fresh air...
Cons: Charge of £2.50 for water in the mini bar...should be complimentary....At approximately 9am one could here loud banging & drilling going on...Turns out they were replacing cladding on the outside of the property...did not make for a restful morning as we checked in late to the hotel at 1:30am from a long flight abroad...Were not informed by reception this maintenance was scheduled....

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome from staff and spotless studio room. Really comfortable and we slept well. I was worried that it would be noisy but we heard no sound from other guests or the road. The room had everything we needed.
Cons: The location is very good from the perspective of getting quickly to other places - 5 minutes to the Bullring. But the immediate area is run down. I was happy to stay as a couple, but I would not stay there as a lone female traveller. When I travel for work. That’s a shame as the property and staff are really good. I would stay again with others.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice little apartment. Turn left and you are 3 minutes walk to a lovely Indian restaurant and The O2 institute and turn right out of the hotel, across the road, up the steps and you hit the town centre. Very convenient.
Cons: We have stayed before and had breakfast included in the price. This time it was more expensive and they told me breakfast wasn't included in my bill so it worked out quite expensive.
6.0 Good
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Room was worn marks all over the walls, hair all over in the bed sheets. Blood on the pull out bed.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff understood our concerns and did their best.
Cons: No cleaning during our four day stay - we stayed in an spartment. The fact that it is NOT serviced at all during stays shorter than 8 days - IS WELL HIDDEN ON BOOKING.COM. You are better off paying a little bit more for an ordinary hotelroom. The pictures on booking.com was taken in a two-room apartment - we stayed in a small studioapartment which means only room for a twin and a kitchensink/fridge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room had everything I required for my stay. It was a good location for my work and Bullring. It was also very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and the apartment had everything that we needed for a one night stay

Pros: Not much, you check in at the bar downstairs and they don't tell you where to go for breakfast or checkout times. Very haphazard, there was even a guy painting the wall between my room and the room next door at 9am on a Saturday morning with no wet paint signs anywhere when I came back. Just as well I saw him doing it. Definitely would not use this hotel again!
Cons: The rooms were very tired, stained carpets and curtains/nets, headboard and chairs. Sink in the bathroom was blocked with what looked like 3 years worth of grime! Shabby metal stool instead of a bedside shelf/table. Area is very rundown and you have to go through graffiti'd subways to get to the town centre. Tvs didn't work but they did at least send someone to fix them. Air conditioning would not drop below 20 degrees so very warm to sleep in. All in all, very disappointing
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Bar was lovely and cosy feel to the whole place. Friendly staff who dealt with everything well! Good breakfast!
Cons: Beds a little on hard side but comfy enough for a short stay.

Cons: TV channels were limited. Water glasses in the room were too small to be useful, the tea bags weren't replaced when the room was "cleaned" and the cups weren't washed/replaced. The extractor fan in the shower/toilet didn't come on so the room steamed up easily.

Pros: The night porter, maintenance and Breakfast staff were polite and friendly and the breakfast was good.
Cons: Reception on arrival were very miserable, mini bar was warm, room card kept cancelling. The hotel was fully booked with Christmas parties so some very loud brash people.

Pros: The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the view from the 9th floor.
Cons: The cleaning staff did not knock before coming into the room. The room was poorly decorated.
6.2 Good

6.0 Good
Pros: The reception staff were lovely and the rooms clean and as expected
Cons: The bar staff generally were not particularly friendly or helpful. One was but he seemed the exception. There was a distinct lack of welcoming atmosphere. The toilets near the bar smelt awful!
7.1 Good
Pros: Was clean and comfy
Cons: Ordered room service for food but still ended up going down to pay, my one burger came uncooked and they got my soup wrong won’t be ordering food again from there
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Air con was very poor
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great. Staff in general were well mannered. Up to 18 floors. Has a gym, but didn't get to see it. Well sized rooms also. Shoe machines on the floors along with ice.
Cons: I have to say I love the Raddison blu brand but this will now be the 1st of two lower than average reviews I'll be writing. First of all I felt lucky and a little excited to get a good deal of £88 per night (with breakfast) as apposed to the £150-£170 most sites were advertising (including Raddison blu on their club Carlson membership site). It started with the arrival with my colleague, a small lobby for the size of the hotel. No one there at first but they came out seconds later so it wasn't too much of a problem. We explained to the front desk that I had booked the rooms for two of us, but rather than looking it was assumed it would be under separate names. Could have been my fault so I'll let that go. We then both checked in, only to find that both rooms were under my name. This was done quite fast, which was good and we were sent on our way with a brief explanation about the breakfast in the morning. Missed the offers that were on hand and not valid at check-in so no upsell. Had they asked we would have taken one of the offers. I did show my club Carlson card and asked if there was anyway of upgrading as to which she said "I'm afraid not as the hotel is fully booked". Which was understandable (remember this part!). I was getting myself together at the reception desk, at which she thanked me. She then thanked me again and gave me a look to say do that somewhere else! I looked around and saw a queue behind me, which I was surprised as there was no one there when we arrived. I apologised when I left the desk but left with a slightly sour taste in my mouth. I then went to my room which smelt of cigarettes. I wasn't sure whether someone was taking a chance on smoking in their room or it was a stench in the actual room. The carpet had stains that seemed well embedded (my colleagues room looked as though blood had been engraved into the carpet with stains too!), the tv had very poor reception (so that was the Brits out of the window). Bathroom was a good size and clean, so was the room in general. But lacked any homely or business feel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Room key Card stopped working
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were exfeptionally friendly. Any questions they readilyl answered. The Hotel was in a perfect location. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was so spacious with a good view and I had an exceptional two night's sleep.
Cons: NOthing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was passed out drunk in my room after a somewhat heated exchange wit my partner. She for reasons only known to whatever deity you pretend to pray to elected to come over. This was an excellent choice assisted by the staff of the Radisson blu hotel.
Cons: I have to use a key card to access my floor, its a layer of security that is utterly redundant.

4.0 Okay
Pros: The location was good central to most places in Birmingham
Cons: The room was basic which contradicted the description online view was on the ventilation. Very cluttered. Walls were thin I was awoken by a neighbouring room talking throughout the night. Pillows were hard.
7.4 Good
Pros: good location, helpful staff
Cons: small room, big bed
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing very poor !
Cons: The room was spacious but for £88 I should of paid the extra £20 to stay at the Hilton or radison! Rough location didn’t feel safe at night. The room wasn’t very clean and needed a makeover. No air conditioning so the room was very warm in the morning. Reception staff were rude in the morning and not helpful !! They didn’t answer the phone when I tried to call from the room. There is no security in the building at all ! Wouldn’t recommend even for a business trip.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The room was excellent value for money. Clean warm and comfortable huge bed and a good supply of tea and coffee. Breakfast was a good choice of hot food with yoghurts, fruit and toast. Sanitizing hand gel was available on reception which is good for any situation and should be available in all hotels. Well done Hallmark.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel

6.0 Good
Pros: The Copthorne is ideally situated for the Birmingham Arena, the mailbox and the Bullring and its only 20min walk to the Hippodrome. The room we stayed in looked across Centenary square which was lovely, There is also a tram stop across Centenary square. The room was very spacious with a bath in the bathroom although it was a bit tired. the food in the restaurant was very good and reasonable priced. The breakfast wasn't included in the price but you could buy a voucher 2 breakfasts for 15 pounds which was a good deal because the breakfasts were very good and there was a lot of choice.
Cons: The Hotel itself is looking very tired and could do with a bit of TLC, having said that it was very clean and not expensive.

7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Lack of staff at bar
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed best most comfortable hotel bed stayed in in years
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: All facilities but one below very good
Cons: Stayed in an executive room on the third floor. Bathroom and toilet separate. Not too bad in itself, but no sink in the toilet means a long walk with soiled hands to wash them in the bathroom. Is a small sink impossible, especially under the current Covid-19 circumstances? You're installing new TVs. Better sanitation perhaps better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing as usual the room was perfect the bed was comfortable and the staff and atmosphere was perfect
Cons: The only thing that did upset me was i requested a late check out but i didnt get it so me and my husband had to check out at 12 we wanted longer away with each other
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was excellent hospitality was very good
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and cosy and the staff helpful and friendly
Cons: No atmosphere in the hotel bar more like a waiting room with nice furnishings
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Overall great value for money, great size room, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, good facilities in the rooms and a fantastic breakfast. We considered our room was very quiet for a very busy city centre location (right in the hub of the night life) and we found the staff very polite & friendly. For our annual Christmas stop-over in Birmingham this could possibly be our new favourite!
Cons: The only minor improvement in the room would be to have the toilet incorporated into the bathroom instead of being in a separate smaller room.
