Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. Rooms very comfortable, especially the super king size bed.
The room was good as was the ambience. The secure car parking was good. The golf clubhouse restaurant was good. The breakfast service was poor and the organisation of it was also poor. The main restaurant was overpriced. No complaint form available.
Leisure centre facilities were good, but changing rooms a little jaded. Staff throughout the hotel were extremely helpful and courteous. Meals superb, comfort first class. No
Beautiful bar, very old and other huge rooms in the bar My husband dislikes the food. I like fish & chips!
The location was stunning and the main areas of the hotel were lovely. The staff were very good as well. The rooms and food were very poor for the price. The swimming pool changing areas were also very poor
we have stayed many times , we just like the area and the ambeonce of the hotel having to wait till nearly 4pm to get into room when check in is 3pm.yet you would charge for late checkout. so you should reduce charge for late check in.
i liked the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and the scenery sorrounding it. the breakfast was also very nice.
Comfortable room, general location very pleasant Geared more to golf than anything else, so that although the grounds are beautiful, one cannot conveniently walk through them
pleasant surroundings at time of out stay wedding paries and lots of small children running around
service in the bar was extremely slow early in the evening . disabled car parking should be better
The setting was superb, the facilities tasteful and the owners most pleasant, without being intrusive.
Very comfortable. Clean and of a high standard. All the little 'extras' were there, including a bathrobe. Hostess very helpful and friendly. Lovely location
This must be one of the nicest b n b's we have stayed in - we would reccommend it to anyone and intend to stay there again
It was top quality furnishings. N/A
Everything, It was a wonderful place, wonderful location, fantastic friendly people, and gorgeous rooms. Couldn't believe it was so nice for so little moeny. Nothing, there were literally no problems at all staying here.
Booking, correspondence, stay and everything about the place was excellent, and the view from the room was incredible. I really can't come up with a single bad thing about this place.
Leah and Kevin are first class hosts. The accomodation was very clean and comfortable.Beautiful views from our room The Chesters.Superb breakfast served each morning, definitely a return visit for us!!.
Wonderful views from a perfectly appointed bedroom. The bedroom was comfortable and tastefully furnished with delightful en-suite facilities. We were asked to select our breakfast the evening before which ensured that we were served promptly with an excellent, beautifully cooked breakfast the next morning. Local preserves and fresh fruit were also available.
lovely friendly welcome and gorgeous room nothing at all
Well appointed, clean, good service, licenced and evening meals available. Good position for Hadrian's Wall

Excellent food and friendly service None
Clean, comfortable, quiet room; excellent dinner and breakfast; hospitality. Some restaurant/bar personnel are inexperienced and/or poorly trained
Great food Friendly staff Fantastic location- a real get away Good quality accommadation
Lots of nice luxurious touches, very comfortable rooms, breakfast and dinner both delicious. Excellent value and lovely location.
Very clean hotel, great bathroom and very warm. All staff were very friendly, the menu and food were excellent. No bad points, but we did find the bed a bit small!! We are not big people!
Room 9 ventilation system was noisey
A friendly welcome and continuing pleasant atmosphere. The staff never failed to acknowledge us in the same friendly way. The room price excess for a weekend night. This only showed on the confirmation e-mail.
Friendliness of staff Lack of organisation and tired decor.
Location Some parts looked dated.
Dinner was excellent breakfast was dried up
This was not the standard of hotel I remember it having changed hands. Room damp, cornice hanging off wall, mold on carpet and curtains, bed not made, shower faulty and flooding bathroom, waited 30 mins standing to be sat for breakfast.
The location, right on the river at Chollerford. The friendly staff, both on reception and in the restaurant. The lady who served us at breakfast was a gem, nothing was too much trouble. More milk should be provided on the hospitality tray
well, the fact we only paid fifteen quid each for dinner, bed and breakfast comes pretty high up the list. that and the location. perfect for the roman wall.
the friendliness of the staff and their efiiciency could do with a lick of paint
lovely large room, ideal location next to the river, lovely swimming pool We slept very badly. The radiator was making horrendous noises in the night. On the second night, we had to move to another room at midnight, as the noise was so bad. The manager sorted this out for use most kindly. But it totally spoiled our stay. And for £130 per night we were extremely disappointed, and will never stay there again. This was a high price hotel, and you expect to get e decent night's sleep. I had to sleep with earplugs in on the first night. appalling.
the location, breakfast was good.the room was comfy and the hotel had character..plan to return soon
It is ideal for a visit to Hadrians Wall and the sites associated with the wall. The staff were attentive and trying to please Decor a bit tired in places
