Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent location, accommodation and very friendly hosts.&
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loretta, Andy and Archie are amazing, from the first minute we felt great! The place was perfectly clean and has all the amenities you would want for a relaxing time. We had the salmon and cheese platter as dinner, and they prepared it with so much care and love, was just perfect... And also was the breakfast. We got a wine tasting while Loretta showed us the winery and that was the cherry on top, we can't recommend enough this place 8/5 stars!
Cons: Everything was simply perfect!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved our stay at Every Man and His Dog. The room was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was outstanding, and our welcome was wonderful! We would love to revisit one day!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was continental in price, with hot home baked bread. An abundance of condiments and juices offered. Fresh home made fresh fruit salad. The area was so quiet and relaxing and 1 kilometer from the Richmond township. Free wine tasting and a visit to the boutique winery.
Cons: There was nothing that we disliked
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loretta and Andrew (and Archie) are wonderful hosts, and the unit was absolutely right for a couple. Breakfast provisions were generous and tasty, and included a huge fresh fruit salad, and a freshly baked loaf of bread, plus there were additional treats left in the unit. We had a lovely stay and appreciated meeting Loretta, Andrew and Archie!
Cons: Can not think of a single thing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing hospitality and amazing to be staying at their small vineyard.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything! so inviting and cozy. Beautiful breakfast spread in the morning. Met the star of the show “Archie” and walked around the vineyard. Loretta was so helpful delivered a wine tasting for us when we got back from our dinner which was delicious we bought a couple bottles to take with us.
Cons: We liked everything. Could not fault our stay.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, location really pretty.
Cons: The remote for air con needed batteries, it was a little bit cold.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The personal service Made to feel like part of the family. Very lovely couple who own this property. Nothing was too much trouble Went the extra mile for us as guests Fresh home made bread was made for our breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Loretta and Andy (and Archie, too - adorable dog) are great hosts. We spent a couple of nights in their place and we loved it - cozy rooms, beautiful surroundings and a very enjoyable tour of their vineyard. We got to taste their wines and eventually bought a Chardonnay, which we finished really soon. It's that good! If anyone planned to stay near Richmond or even Hobart, Loretta and Andy's place is highly recommended.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had private entrance, garden and deck, sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Too bad we weren't staying longer! Loretta provided all the little extras, extremely gracious people and Andrew's morning tour was most informative and very entertaining!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: A beautiful B&B, with tastefully styled and comfortable rooms, friendly and welcoming hosts and in a great location. Being treated to a home-cooked breakfast in the morning was a particular highlight!
Cons: Nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very clean excellent breakfast and wonderful hosts.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.3
Pros: We appreciated the finer details off the beautiful property and we loved the breakfast
Cons: Put it this way. We lock the door behind us to maintain our privacy which was obviously not apparent that night upon our return.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our hosts, David and Jacqueline, were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our conversations with them. The breakfasts were amazing: delicious, healthy and more than ample in quantity. Our room, which faced the back of the property, was quiet and very comfortable. Coffee, tea and biscuits as well as some port wine were supplied in the room. The decor of the house befitted its historical nature. The sitting and dining rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Our only very minor comment is that slightly more even lighting around the bathroom mirror would have been appreciated although we realize that it might be difficult to implement in a historical home.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, our hosts were great! Bellerive is a lovely part of Hobart.
Cons: We had no complaints- it is a charming house and lovely accommodation.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing hospitality in a beautiful house. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Very accommodating of a last minute booking. Highlight of trip to Hobart.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A quaint converted family home beautifully renovated into a homely, clean and inviting B&B. Highlight was David and Jacqueline's warm and generous hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble, and theyu both took every effort to make our stay as amazing as possible. From giving us suggestions on the best places to visit, to adjusting the breakfast menu to cater for my vegan partner. The small touches like aromatic flowers in the room, chocolate and shortbread with tea, and vegan slices daily really set this place apart. Fancy without being pretentious. Truly a wonderful place to stay for out time in Hobart!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Bellerive House is a delightful home away from home. My partner and I simply couldn’t fault a thing from the beautifully laid out bedroom, ornaments throughout the home and exceptional attention to detail. The breakfast is fit for a king or queen and is lovingly made. Nothing short of setting you up for the rest of your day.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was probably the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Beautiful house and room, absolutely wonderful hosts and easily the best homemade breakfast ever. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: What a comfy cottage in a lovely little town. The owner had thought of all your needs, will extra little touches like generous towels and pillows, cooking items such as oil and paper towel - just simple things that made our stay that much better! Super clean and neat as a pin, the cottage kept us warm and cosey. Thank you to the lovely owner.
Cons: Nothing - it was excellent
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The “Cellar” accommodation had everything I needed and was warm and comfortable. This gem of a property is situated in a lively historical town about 25 minute drive from Hobart. The township itself had all the amenities (restaurants/winery/shops etc) I required and all within a minutes walk. Property staff were friendly and accommodating.
Excellent 10.0

Cons: Great hosts and very handy for disabled or not so mobile
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful old heritage property with everything you could need included. Lovely spot and a lovely little town. Great modern bathroom and very comfy beds with electric blankets which were appreciated.
Excellent 9.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Well maintained cottage within walking distance to all the sites of Richmond
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very close to the Main Street and shops

Excellent 9.6
We loved our stay in this cosy cottage. The bed was super comfortable. All the little extras: night light in toilet, olive oil and gladwrap, a couple of bikkies. Every thing was beautifully done. Would recommend.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Simone was a wonderful and most helpful host and gave us some excellent local tips. This is a top place to stay for exploring the eastern half of Tasmania. An easy drive from Hobart Airport and close enough to the ferry for a day trip to Maria Island. Perfect for a couple and great value.
Excellent 10.0
Loved every part of the stay at the Cottage..Truly a 5 star experience . Lovely & Warm host, well equipped cottage complimented the beautiful surroundings of the town and adjoining vineyards. Kids loved the games & facilities. To summarize , words cannot express our delightful overnight stay and tranquility of the environment. Will certainly stay for longer period next time around .

Pros: Such a lovely place to stay. Host Sharon was extremely lovely and we were supplied a beautiful breakfast. My boys loved feeding her animals. We will be back. Thank you.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Sharon & Kim - very welcoming - great hosts who are going through very tough times due to the COVID lockdowns. Loved the animal feeding and the great breakfast with home made bread & fresh eggs from the farm.
Cons: Small TV in the bed/sitting room
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Cottage was excellent. Breakfast excellent with fresh eggs that had the yellowest yolks I’ve seen in a very long time! The animal feeding in the morning was extra but well worth it to see them close-up and to pat them - even the chickens! Lovely night away
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great breakfast, lovely hosts, good location.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The care & thought put into our comfort & enjoyment of the farm experience from Sharon & Kim was excellent. What more can you ask for than home made bread & jams in a continental breakfast hamper. Would highly recommend!!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was amazing with home-made bread and jam, fresh fruit and eggs! The cabin was roomy and modern with a country feel and all the necessities you need to cook. We could watch the animals graze from our back porch, and were able to go out with the owners and feed the sheep, horse, pony, chickens, ducks and alpaccas. All of the animals are rescues and clearly very loved by the owner. And 5 minutes from town! Bonus!
Cons: Zero complaints!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful time and great for kids will certainly return again
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful little cottage located on the main street within walking distance to everything. Our family walked to the Jail and to the Bridge. Host was very lovely. Would definitely recommend this place and would go back. The fire and spa were amazing.
Good 6.0
Pros: Very close to the town centre. Quaint cottage, older style with some nice period furniture. Very spacious in the bedrooms and living areas. Host preheated the unit for our arrival. Electric blankets and good quality bedding. Plenty of tea, coffee and sugar and tasty biscuits provided. Good range of DVD’s provided.
Cons: Really in need of some maintenance. Some doors difficult to shut and some electrical problems. Bed and pillows were too firm for my liking, but the bedding was cozy. Lounge is a beautiful antique sofa, but not so comfortable to sit on. Looked forward to a spa bath, but hot water ran out before it filled to the jet level. No Netflix or Smart TV.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Owner was friendly and helpful and had switched on the heat before we arrived so the place immediately felt cosy. Loved the decor - very comfortable and the antique furnishings were lovely. The facilities were excellent and would support a longer stay. Brilliant location on the main street of Richmond. Would definitely return for a longer visit if we return to Tasmania.
Cons: Access to the shower was a bit awkward for a person with mobility issues - having to climb into a large spa tub - and some accessibility handles might be a good idea to help this. While the main street access is a boon for visiting, it can mean some early morning traffic noise.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location is excellent. Very Rustic but charming. Host was great.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Warm and cosy with a wood fireplace. Appreciated the cooking and laundry facilities. Great location in town right on the high street. Whilst it suited our needs, people who are not as mobile may find the shower challenging to use (over the bath).

Excellent 8.0
Pros: have always enjoyed staying here. the accommodation was as expected - great. breakfast had changed due to Covid so left a little to be desired although it was sufficient for a BnB. the owners were scarce to say the least. there was almost no interaction with staff and when we found one at breakfast it was extremely brief. shame really after what used to be. still a good choice
Cons: scarcity of staff was disappointing
Poor 1.0
Cons: No breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved how big the room was. The bed was very comfortable. The spa bath was great. The continental breakfast was in a cute bento box and even had an egg and baked beans.
Cons: I liked everything.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very helpful and respectful hosts
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It was like a home away from home
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is the second time we stay at Orana House. We only booked one day earlier and we have got upgraded to the bigger and more comfortable room we guess because it's a little quiet in winter time. The room is very comfortable with sufficient heater and electric blankets.
Cons: Last time we stayed we were served with fully extensive breakfast which was excellent. This time breakfast was still good but not as many choices as last time. Possibly because it's the quiet time of the year.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location was great, only 15 minutes into the CBD. The view was brilliant. The house was lovely with a beautiful common room that was relaxing with a fire
Cons: The second room was rather small and not much room to move about
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 8.4
All pros. Lovely breakfast. Room. Con shower was Nat all good
Excellent 8.8
Orana House is in a perfect location for a couple of days stay in Hobart or longer, conveniently located within walking distance to local cafes and a pleasant walk or bike ride over the bridge to Hobart and lovely walking tracks along the eastern side of the Derwent. No gym facility but not needed with the walking track and fitness equipment in the local park. Stan & family are very welcoming as is Orana House. Enjoy the freedom of the lovely open loungroom and cooking facilities. Always our first choice when in Tassie.
Excellent 10.0
Beautifully restored property with a lovely garden. Clean room with a comfy bed - good breakfast - friendly & helpful staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place to stay. Room was extremely comfortable and had a very nice 4 poster bed. Breakfast was excellent and all staff were very pleasant. There is also a very nice garden and ample car parking. On arrival we were given a personal folder with details of the hotel and various local sights and amenities, A very nice touch. It advertises itself as as a bed and breakfast but it is of a higher standard than many mid range (3 or 4 star) hotels which we have stayed in. Would definitely stay there again if opportunity ever arose.
Cons: Nothing really bar bit more detail of what is available on TV

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very spacious room overlooking paddock with sheep. Loved seeing the horses in the orchard and chooks running aroud. The hosts were very hospitable and cooked a lovely meal in the restaurant.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Hatcher’s is such a unique place to stay and especially lovely for children with the horses large and small. The lovely historic town of Richmond is a great place to explore. Hosts Jeanette and Colin are incredible. When you see what they’ve achieved in building this place from the ground up, you will be in awe. They are friendly and most accomodating. Jeanette cooks up hearty and delicious meals for weary travellers.
Cons: This is a huge property to maintain and the effort and cost is only exacerbated by this very trying time for the tourism industry. The cottage will benefit from updates and minor repairs when more guests are enjoying the hospitality here.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Owners were really lovely people and keen to please. We had one issue and owners showed genuine concern wanting to rectify the problem. Available meals were good.
Cons: Hot water was shared with another room and ran out before my first shower. It heated up quickly enough for my husband. Owners are looking into why it ran out. Second day everything was fine.
Good 6.4
Owners are lovely and friendly always. Sad to see the place is getting run down and disappointing that there was a domestic next door. Owners told us that they we gonna call us to see if we wanted another room but sadly they didn’t bother. The domestic situation was not their fault at all but they didn’t contact us about it and only mentioned it when they say us. Could have been more proactive with their guests.
Good 7.0
Pros: Overall pleasantness of hosts, roomy bedroom, cleanliness of bed.
Cons: n/a
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful location, lovely rooms.
Excellent 10.0
Highly recommend Hatchers Manor, I stayed with 2 girlfriends as we had a 40th to go to close by. The owners were amazing, we turned up early and they were out getting supplies but after a quick phonecall we were in our room. They actually encourage booking in early which is rare. Our room was gorgeous and equipped with everything we needed. View over the property from our room was stunning, it was clean and the beds very comfortable. Would love to go back for a romantic night with my partner and try the restaurant. No complaints
Okay 4.0
On entering the room it had a strong odour of dead mouse !! The bathroom however was clean and very large It suited our needs as we had our pet with us Could do with a revamp and new linen and decor
Okay 4.4
Would not recommend this run down place - absolutely ghastly.

Okay 4.0
Pros: The restaurant in the hotel was superb. The food was excellent and the service was great.
Cons: We only paid $85 for the room per night and so didn't expect a great room for that money, but it was definitely below average. The room looked like something out of the 1950's and not in a good way. The beds were old and just a foam mattress on top of a board base. There was some re-decoration happening in some of the rooms, so perhaps they were upgrading facilities.
Good 7.0
Pros: Clean and good location. Reasonably priced.
Cons: Room a little small and some traffic noise.
Good 7.0
Pros: Perfect location for a early start on the Eastern shore the next morning Friendly bar with excellent pub meals and good beer specials
Cons: Rooms are outdated but for 85 a night I can’t really complain. Everything worked
Excellent 9.2

Excellent 10.0
Cons: there was no staff
Okay 5.0
Pros: The hotel's own website described their rooms as humble. It was not overstated. The room was fit for purpose
Cons: .
Good 7.0
Pros: good area location, good facilities
Cons: an old three seat sofa.
Okay 4.0
Pros: A quiet hotel easy to relax
Cons: Tv reception played up .... no sink ....
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Hotel had lovely restaurant and the food was delicious. Great size meals. Staff were great friendly .
Cons: Room was a little dated
Excellent 8.0
Pros: the view of the harbour was amazing from the restaurant, rooms were small but clean and very warm and water in the showers was hot, great value for money the food and the view was great but the room are just value for money
Cons: it was value for money so you cant complain
Good 7.1
rooms are old and small but clean and serviceable, restaurant looked good but service was slow, only ordered mains and it took 40 min for steak and grilled fish with only 4 tables to serve in the whole place when the food finally got there we had 2 steaks instead of what was ordered and for around 200 grams of steak at over 30$ a plate it was tough and grisly. Eat elsewhere but good budget hotel.
Good 7.9
the room was quite ok for one night, which is all we required.
