Our son goes to Penn State New Kensington and this was a perfect place to stay for a quick sleep and recharge before the drive home. The hotel staff was so helpful and kind.

Pros (+) The place was clean and had several amenities at a good price considering it was the night before Groundhog Day and its proximity.
Cons (-) Our room was nice & clean except we had no hot water in the shower. No other rooms were available, so the manager who was very nice cut the room cost in half.
Cons (-) They got rid of my reservation. So I was unable to stay at the hotel. When I went to check in they said they didn’t think I was coming. Mind you I stopped at 1:30pm trying to check in early so around 9pm after my party I was to attend I get there and they erased my reservation and I had to then call around and find a room.
Pros (+) This budget hotel is located minutes away from IUP with good value.
Cons (-) The hotel needs to be spruced up.
Pros (+) The shower and sink areas are separated. Having a fridge, microwave, iron & ironing board, and hair dryer are nice to have as standard equipment in the room.
Cons (-) The mattress was the worst mattress that I ever slept on in a hotel. The rest of the room was fine. The breakfast was very limited. Poor selection of fruit and no protein to eat. The waffle maker is the best!
