Pros: Not very much, it was well over priced, for the type of accommodation.
Cons: We paid extra for a larger room, on arrival we found the room wasn't large at all. Some of the staff where rude. But the most disappointing thing of all, was the food was disgusting. And well over priced. It should have been a nice trip for new year it turned out very disappointing and a complete waste of money.

Pros: Loved sitting in front of the fire drinking wine.... with the dog.
Cons: Scrambled eggs too runny... but I guess that’s personal preference

Pros: Located a short drive out of Kendal, but we knew this when we booked and liked the quieter area. Nicely presented inn, popular with locals. Nice, welcoming bar and restaurant area. Staff all friendly and happy to help. Good breakfast. Tea and coffee, with nice biscuits, were in the room.
Cons: Although the room was clean and well maintained it was very small with no wardrobe, just hooks/rails on the wall with hangers. The quilt on the bed was warm enough but not large enough to cover us adequately all night.

Pros: Cosy, comfortable and great service !
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was spot on
Cons: The bed was too soft. Made it uncomfy woke up with bad neck and back
4.0 Okay
Cons: Property was understaffed, with no atmosphere at dinner time with staff setting up for breakfast around us complaining about how long a day they’ve had. Although I agree they had both been there a long time that didn’t make for the best atmosphere. Dinner was £50 but steak was very fatty, so not the best cut for £23. Breakfast was similar- only one member of staff working so service was very slow. In the actual room ; (number 1) cobwebs in room and bathroom. The windows rattled all night which didn’t make for a good nights sleep- although I understand the weather can’t be helped.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast had a great choice, hot and well presented. I had the full one which lasted me all day till our meal at 6.30pm. The dinner was extra but again was nice as we did not have to go back out after a long day. The room was lovely and warm, very clean and the towels were really big and soft. good selection of tea and coffee.
Cons: The steps are quite steep up to the top floor but it is an old house so can't think how you could change them.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close enough to kendal to get a taxi in and out. Nice bar and restaurant area. Food was good. Room and bed was clean comfortable and cosy. Good value for money.
Cons: Single glazed and tired windows. Small bathrooms.

Cons: Excellent breakfast only served from 0800 not good when working could not enjoy as was rushed ,
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and good food.
Cons: Room was cold on arrival and took while to get warm. Signs of water leak/damage near door to bathroom that detracted from the appeal of the room.

Cons: Was a little loud when pub was kicked out but didn’t bother us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay friendly staff clean and comfortable. Food was also great with a good breakfast
Cons: We had checked in on the day that the country went into lock down amid corona virus, that evening the go ernment had shut down pubs and bars, the staff had one last night were visitors could drink then unfortunately had the close the pubside down the next day. They continued to serve breakfast to us and one other couple staying in the hotel. They were so accommodating regardless of the virus, so friendly. The hotel was clean comfortable and in a great location. When the ban is lifted I would highly recommend you give them a look. We will definitely go back

9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is located near the town centre, though up a steep hill. The couple who owned it were very friendly. An excellent breakfast. This is really great for Postman Pat fans as it is only a few yards to the actual former post office that prompted the character's creation - you can take a selfie next to a statue of Pat (btw its next to the Rifleman's Arms, which is also a great real ale hostelry)
Cons: Nothing really. Just be aware that it is up a very steep hill. Probably one to avoid if you are on foot in icy weather!

Cons: Superb little family run guest house, my only (and it is very very slight and should not take away how beutiful this place is) is the breakfast was only 8 to 9... small window really would have loved a little later.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, and a warm welcome by friendly and helpful staff. Very close to Windermere and also the ferry to get to the other side. Can't really say much more than it was a really excellent 2 nights, with lovely breakfast cold and hot options. Even catered for my wife who is gluten free, never seen her eat so much and so heartily for breakfast. Very nice breakfast room, with the hill view. Had a nice room with a view at the front to the hills and sheep. Bed really comfortable, one of the best I have slept in away from home. Highly recommend and would be first look up if available on return to this area.

The room was clean and comfortable and we were given an upgrade to a king room as it wasn’t being used. Breakfast choice was good and the trouble taken to get the best vege sausages was much appreciated. Would highly recommend this guest house.

6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast is always lovely. The decor of the rooms is 10/10. This was our second time here. Location is wonderful the scenery is lovely. Very tranquil. Jessica who greeted us was lively very professional and welcoming!
Cons: We had booked the room with the bath. Unfortunately it was a lovely room but not much room to get dressed the double we had before was bigger with a lovely bathroom still. We had laundry bags outside our door for half the time we were there which was a little annoying as it blocked our door. It should of been stored safely as its h&s hazard. I wrote this on a feedback form which was clearly not read as it wasnt addressed or mentioned at checkout. Along with feedback about the dinner we had there which i payed for but did not eat. It is a fab location and rooms are lovely but going back the second visit was not as good as the first. We will try another amber inn next time and would always recommend to others to stay at the wheatsheaf!
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was a bit average (the continental options at least). A couple of sad bits of fruit and a smattering of cupcakes doesn't make much of a breakfast buffet.

Pros: Everything, warming welcome, staff amazing, room was massive and very clean and tidy, they could not do enough for you. Stunning pub 100 yards away, please visit the farm shop opposite! And a shop next door. Great little place.
Cons: Superb little family run guest house, my only (and it is very very slight and should not take away how beutiful this place is) is the breakfast was only 8 to 9... small window really would have loved a little later.

Pros: Stunning property, big rooms and really clean. Staff were really pleasant and nothing was too much to ask for. Breakfast was really tasty with a few options to choose from and was offered more if we wanted. We will definitely be staying again - room was perfect for a lovely night away in the lakes with my partner
Cons: Nothing stay was perfect

Pros: A great place to spend time exploring the lakes. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Couldn’t do enough for us. The room was clean and comfortable and we were given an upgrade to a king room as it wasn’t being used. Breakfast choice was good and the trouble taken to get the best vege sausages was much appreciated. Would highly recommend this guest house.

Pros: It was great. With a really warm welcome from our host. Such a personality. Lovely to chat about the local area. Fab home cooked biscuits and cake in the room. Delicious breakfast. Despite the raging storm outside it was a warm and cosy place to stay. And thanks for the mint cake. It is Kendal, after all.
Cons: Low water pressure on shower.
