10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really liked everything about Lyndhurst, Yvonne is a great host, so helpful and good fun. I loved the toiletries (all cruelty free and very environmentally friendly), a really good touch. She caters really well for dietary requirements (I’m vegan) but not a problem for Yvonne. We’d definitely recommend Lyndhurst. Thanks for a really lovely stay.
Cons: Nothing.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast and customer service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I could not fault the stay. I was made to feel welcome, nothing was too much bother - and the room was a delight, very clean and comfortable with unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits. Although near to a lovely pub for dinners, a cafe and close to Windermere, it was also possible to walk up into the fells without having to drive anywhere. As a solo traveller, I would definitely recommend this guest house
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, lovely breakfast
Cons: Bed was too soft for us but most may like it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality. Owner and staff were very friendly. Our dog had a nice welcome as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is in a small village off the main road from M6 to Windermere, so easy to find. It’s very quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy destinations, but within easy reach of the main tourist and walking locations. Also within 300 yards of a fantastic local pub and micro brewery. We ate and drank there for all 3 nights of our stay at MeadowCroft and can vouch for the excellence of both food and beer. The owner and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We knew where we wanted to visit but they would have offered suggestions if necessary. There is a residents lounge with loads of guidebooks and maps which we borrowed. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast and cooked options. Our room was nicely decorated. We had a double which was a little small, but we booked last minute and that was the only room available for the three nights we were in the area. Next time I would try to book a king size room as they are larger. The whole guesthouse (and the pub)had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would stay again.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people were so kind and attentive. The food was also amazing. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Flexibility with check-in, good shower pressure.
Cons: The room was very cold at our arrival, no heating on at all in November outside -1 Celsius. The central heating didn't come on even in the morning. They've advised to use an electric radiator, which was to small to have meaningful impact.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is well located 2 miles from Windermere and 7 miles from Kendal I was in room 8 the bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were a good size furnished to a high standard and spotlessly clean the hosts were very welcoming and made our stay a pleasure the breakfasts were first class a great start to the day I will definitely go back and recommend it to my friends
Cons: I had no complaints had a great holiday

Cons: The room was a little on the small side...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic find. I arrived late and in the dark and it appeared quite dark from the front but how wrong was I! The traditional frontage was hiding a modern and homely interior to the bar/Restaurant and the room was top drawer. Staff and food were fantastic and although not on my usual work route I will certainly be back any time that I am lucky enough to be in the area. The room was modern, homely and spotlessly clean. I personally would recommend anyone to stay here
Cons: The only small negative would be that my room was cold through the night. Not enough to affect your sleep but certainly affects your fee on you mid sleep toilet visit (Sorry lol)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant and helpful staff. Modern, nicely decorated room and ensuite shower room (room 3). Large comfortable bed. Very dog friendly. Small charge of £5 per night for the dog but they provide a basket containing a blanket, towel, toy, water bowl and poo bags. Water and dog biscuits provided in the bar. Good food and wine menu (we had two evening meals). Very nice cooked breakfast included in the price. Would return if in the area again.
Cons: As many other guests have commented, the green emergency light in the room is a problem as it can’t be turned off and it is quite bright. Bothered my husband as he likes to sleep in total darkness. Could the hotel provide eye masks?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Staff very friendly. Food very good. Lovely clean room.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was bright and clean with a grear shower. Food in the restaurant and breakfast were excellent.
Cons: Nothing bad really. If I had to be picky, the only thing that was a little odd was having to go outside to get back into the restaurant. Probably not usually a problem, but on the day we were there the rain was heavy so we got a bit wet. Not really a big problem though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place, great food and wine.
Cons: Ideally there would be more vegetarian options available on the menu.

7.0 Good
Pros: The room and access to disability showering; good coffee and tea and biscuits in each room; daily cleaning by very amenable people; The breakfast was the best meal - that has not changed since last year.
Cons: The menu for lunch and dinner was awful and very pricey The hotel had hired a new chef who did not take into acc9unt that the hotel is international; cheeks jowls are not something everyone eats; sandwiches were very expensive; chip s were so thick that the potato was raw; I will not come back next year again because the food is so awful.

Pros: Lovely central location, easy and free parking is attached to hotel. Bar area is nice, but not much atmosphere. Please add another TV and switch them on - even if its just for news (no sound just subtitles), and play some more background music
Cons: Menu has changed for the worse in my opinion. Less choice, and I just wish they would serve food on hot plates. Neither breakast or dinner is good on cold plates. Smoked bacon on buffet breakfast isn't too nice.

I would happily pay to stay here again. Really enjoyed it.
Cons: The bath in our room was a jacuzzi one but it didn’t work (the jucuzzi part) wasn’t a major issue. Also the one thing that did annoy me was the bar a pint of beer was £4.75 and the total came Upto £12 meaning we paid £7.35 for a double vodka and coke which is really really high and I do think we got overcharged for that drink.

Thanks guys to gave us unforgettable weekend! See you soon!

As a solo traveller, I would definitely recommend this guest house
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The landlady is a very nice person to talk with but not in your face when you want to get to your room. Quirky notes and crocheted fittings are fun. Environmentally friendly and with a lovely doggie
Cons: Homestly - I have no complaints
