8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and cleanliness of the hotel made it a place we will visit again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean and comfortable. The Quality Inn was in the center of town within walking distance of everything. It also was a very short drive to Mount Rushmore. Breakfast was good. Overall I thought it was a good value and would consider staying here again. I was able to park right outside my room, though some rooms were inside.
Cons: My only complaint was a person in the room above us who ran back-and-forth and back-and-forth for hours, both late at night and early in the morning. I assume it was some sort of exercise. I can only hope that on my return this situation will not exist. During my month long trip, this was the only hotel/motel where this occurred.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic. It's a very short drive to Mt Rushmore. And it's in downtown Keystone, so you can walk to restaurants and shopping! Walkability is important to us.
Cons: It is noisy. We could hear everything going on in the parking lot in our room. Also, parking is a very tight fit.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Manager Solomon went out of his way to handle a request for room change to more open view Very clean rooms, nice pleasant staff at very good breakfast

7.1 Good
Cons: room was dated and needed some work. bathroom sink drain was stuck. handle in shower came off
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was ok except that the only yogurt choice was low calorie. This is not ideal for children. There should have been a choice of regular or low-cal yogurt
Cons: We respected the no smoking in the room and did not smoke in the room. We sat at the designated smoking area in the morning and were told we could not smoke there as breakfast was being served. NOBODY was eating outside, they were eating inside. Everyone has rights EXCEPT smokers. I was very angry about this.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Laundry available
Cons: Some plug ins did not work in the room

Pros: Location was close to all the major attractions in the area.

7.9 Good
Pros: Walking distance to most of restaurants and shops, very close to mt. Rushmore, very accessible, staff very approachable and friendly
Cons: Bathroom is a little tight, we could hear guest walking above us, breakfast area too small no enough room to sit, breakfast choices very limited or no choice at all, a bit expensive in my opinion but its the sturgis rally week so that explains it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great location! Great value very nice and helpful staff!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: My son and I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn for 5 nights. The hotel room was very clean when we arrived and housekeeping kept our room clean and neat every day. The location was amazing! I love that it's litterally right next to all the little shops and restaurants. Keystone is adorable!
Cons: Not a deal breaker but the bathroom was a little small and the shower head is pretty low. Also, it would've been nice to have a mini fridge in the room so I didn't have to keep getting ice for our cooler.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, friendly staff. Great location to saloons and sightseeing. I stayed an extra night because of the accommodations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that we could choose the floor we would be staying on. The breakfast was satisfactory.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Too close to highway....noisy. Web site is misleading. Free breakfast is lame..no eggs, no protein. Also disappointed that the ice cream/soda fountain has been closed for years.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location.
Cons: Housekeeping was just OK, they picked up the dirty towels once and that was it for our 3 night stay.
6.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was cramped for our family. Breakfast no longer offered. They sent an email after we booked
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean size and awesome staff
Cons: The upstairs folks noisy. I think there is little or no soundproofing...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Although the rooms are very small, I didn't mind at all. We were there to sleep so that didn't matter. They were very cozy and clean. I would stay here again for sure. A year prior we paid triple for a larger room that was awful in the area. So this was a sweet surprise. Super cute!
Cons: Because the rooms are tiny, the tv is in an odd place and is basically useless. Not enough outlets, no mini fridge or microwave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this place was such a great place if we travel to that area again we will stay there again.
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I liked the fact that there was no Hallway with running kids slamming doors keeping you up. It was also nice to have our hotel door go directly outside. Also it was close to places that we wanted to go.
Cons: The room was very clean besides the fact there was someones boxers left that look like they were used behind the door. Other than that I wasn't grossed out. Also I didn't like the fact that I tried using the WiFi password and it said incorrect please fix that.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Quiet.
Cons: No microwave. Minimal TV channels. Free breakfast was minimal. (Didn't eat there!) There were 3 of us (69, 72, 78) and two fell: one on stairs and the other on the ramp (badly scraped up), plus a close call for me on the stairs without any handrails.

Cons: Pool was closed.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fun location

4.6 Okay
Cons: Too basic. No soap. Bugs
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It was in a run-down part of town. The room smelled like pee when we turned the heat on.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: There was still garbage in the garbage cans, dead flies all over, stains on the comforter, and we received a clean towel with a very gross looking brown streak.

Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: Everything was closed for the season, no hot tub, half the breakfast items etc
6.5 Good
Pros: Night manager was very friendly
Cons: The showers and breakfast weren't great
7.0 Good
Pros: Much to my surprise this Rodeway Inn had a swimming pool ! And served reasonably nice breakfast. The Inn keeper ? owner gave us a good tip re our dinner - went to Ruby's, which is a great old-fashioned saloon with beautiful decorations in the bar section (many guns, pistols etc.) as well as the restaurant and wine serving girls in the costumes of the period The check-in and the check-out were very quick; also we could park our car very close to our room and the exit door
Cons: Nothing in particular
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location and the friendly staff. The bedding was very comfortable as well.
Cons: The bathroom could use an update. And a deeper clean. It was clean enough, but you could tell it doesn’t get mopped behind the door
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was Mia represented furniture was ripped and stained
6.0 Good
Pros: location
Cons: I called to make sure a standard room had 2 queen beds and was told it did. Upon checking in, we were given a queen with a pullout in a very closed quartered room.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Bugs in the room on the floor. Was afraid to walk around without my shoes on. The shower drain was slow and the towels were old and dirty looking. Our bed sheets seemed clean other than finding hair all over them. We did not try the breakfast.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to Mt Rushmore.
Cons: Elevator worked intermittantly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice room for price.
Cons: Sparse breakfast. Nice
6.0 Good
Pros: The location was convenient. The staff was nice.
Cons: The breakfast was absolutely minimal. I wouldn't even consider it a "breakfast". The room was very dated and the air conditioning unit was ancient. They say you have a view of Mt Rushmore but it was barely a glimpse of one president at night from the parking lot. The bedskirt and sheets were VERY wrinkled. That may seem like a picky thing but it added to the overall feeling on unkempt although the room was clean.
6.7 Good
Pros: The bed was great as well as the view of Mt Rushmore.
Cons: No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. Room had a musty smell, but seemed clean. We expected a little more class for the price.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The lady at the front dest called to make sure I was on my was close before she closed which I thought was very good customer service!
Cons: I expected a full view of Mt. Rushmore but it was kind of hidden and small. That was only my expectations being too high!
1.0 Poor
Cons: We always stay at a hotel with a pool for the kids, however there is no way that pool has been functionalable for years. It was empty cracked and filled with dirt! The room smelled like mold and mildew. We stayed one night and left the next morning!
1.0 Poor
Pros: location
Cons: they advertised as Travel Lodge, but they were not anymore.
6.0 Good
Pros: the location
Cons: The breakfast lobby was small
7.1 Good
Pros: The check in lady was very nice and personable. The room was clean. The bed was good. The breakfast was simple. Not a lot of options but still good.
Cons: There were bugs in the room. We had to take at least 5 out.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: No restaurants open nearby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All was better than expected. Staff made it easy to check in after hours, and gave us awesome advice on where to go, how much time we would need and which restaurant to try! We only suggest having a fridge (even if small) in the room for those restaurant left overs/beverages.
Cons: Our biggest and only disappointment was our room entrance/window being in an enclosed 'vestibule' and we were unable to view My Rushmore directly from our room.

7.1 Good
Pros: Pleasant location beside the original historical settlement of Keystone, and within walking distance of the main street, train station, restaurants etc. Quiet at night.
Cons: Cleaning left a lot to be desired, used coffee pouch left in machine, around taps (faucets) on sink not cleaned for a while. Breakfast options limited.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Absolutely nothing. Parking was very tight and limited. The room was something right out of the slums. We were afraid to stay there. We got a refund and went elsewhere.
Cons: See above.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the brooke it was peaceful. The room was clean.
Cons: The bed was hard for me. It was cold and the heater did not work the best. In the shower there was no body wash and the conditioner did not work very good.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The motel complex is two story building.i was on the bottom .the entire room is leaning to the back.the sink is coming away from wall.the tile not sticking to floor.there is loose boards in the floor.
Cons: Nothing
4.2 Okay
Cons: The first room we had wasn't serviced. The bin hadn't been emptied. The bath tub had a soap scum ring. Before we spoke to the manager we made sure the scum wasn't age stains because we could wipe it off. The manager put us in a different room. It was cleaner but still dirty.
6.0 Good
Pros: The one good thing was that they provided a decent breakfast with a good variety to choose from.
Cons: Very uneven floor due to foundation settling. Small, short Shower stall. The shower head was mouth height and bending over enough was difficult. Lamps and alarm clock were unplugged. Would have been nice to have confirmation of what time zone I was in
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly service and clean room.
Cons: No.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Ac didn't work
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff. Great location
Cons: The breakfast was very limited
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Unassuming, nice clean rooms. Great location. Had a stream in our backyard right out of our sliding door. Babbling Brook. Friendly staff. Great location! Great value.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The dinning room was fairly clean. Our room was O.K. as far a cleanliness but the pillows were disgustingly dirty.
Cons: The breakfast was not eatable as far as the "make it yourself waffle maker" because the batter was disgustingly sour and I couldn't eat it, the other items were O.K., but there really was not much to chose from. We arrived later in the evening so it was to late to ask management why we did not have a heater in the room, so I had to go to my car and get a picnic blanket from the car just to stay warm the first night because there was no heater and no extra blankets in the room. I did ask for a heater for the second night and they did put a small portable heater in the room. I have to say I have never been at a hotel where there was not heater. The room smelled a little moldy but it was fairly clean other then the pillows that had stains on them and were disgusting, I was glad that I brought my own pillow cases. The wifi did not work at all as stated in the accommodations. The mattress was comfortable but you didn't dare move because it squeaked terribly!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Needs lots of work
Cons: Old creaky dusty cobwebs mold

Pros: It is in a fun location, looking out the window it felt almost like it was carved into the rock. Coolest part of the whole stay.
Cons: Hot breakfast was lacking. Not everyone likes biscuits and gravey.for 100 $'s a night spring for some meat. Housekeeping used the actual do not disturb placard to knock on the door. Checkout is 11, not 10 thank you, we really needed that sleep we missed
