The May Fair is truly a hotel fit for a king -- it was opened in 1927 by His Majesty King George V himself. The May Fair's reputation for luxury has stood the test of time, and it boasts over 400 of the most opulent guestrooms and suites in London.
The Royal Life
Guests at the May Fair will enjoy their room's luxurious, contemporary decor complete with Sicilian marble bathrooms stocked with designer toiletries. Select suites even include butler service. The rest of the hotel's facilities are intended to make one's stay as convenient as possible, including a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary printing and Wi-Fi, a private screening room, a casino, and the lovely May Fair Spa. On-site dining shouldn't be missed at the May Fair Kitchen, featuring locally sourced ingredients, while a cocktail (or three) is a must at the renowned May Fair Bar. Smokers will enjoy the Cigar Bar, one of the most stylish outdoor smoking destinations in London.
London's Most Prestigious Address
The May Fair hotel is located in the fashionable, wealthy neighborhood of Mayfair in central London. Some of the city's best shopping and restaurants are right outside the hotel's door, while sites like Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace are within walking distance. Exploring London by underground is a breeze with the Green Park metro station just a five minute walk away.
The location was fantastic.
The out of town crowd the hotel attracts is undesirable... I often made to feel like second class due to the fact I am a woman... I hear this crowd often descends on London in the summer though so I can't slight the hotel for accommodating to them
The carpeting in the common halls was old and worn, giving the hotel a dowdy feel, like something one might find along a highway used for a quick overnight stay on a trip to someplace else.
Location, deluxe room quite good in size
Housekeeping not on par with 5 star hotels. Sometimes they forget to clean the room. I have to call to ask them to clean otherwise they would wait hours and hours before they clean.
Great location, great staff, great services.. the place is spotloss clean and neat.
very nice business hotel. Room was nice.
Lots of street noise from night clubs across the street. When the Queue formed 11pm + and especially when the club closed 1:30-2:30am, the street noise was very loud (above TV level). The only night it was not an issue was when it was raining. The room also didn't have a bath tub.
The Hotel was convenient to the Tube and a lot of very nice restaurants and shops. Their free wifi was very fast!
The fitness center was a little small for that size hotel
staff very helpful room and details very nice.
not a memorable place. everything/ everyone nice in a generic way. lack of individual character
great access to numerous restaurants and shopping, staff is very helpful as is concierge with reservations
Excellent staff. Very helpful concierge. A hopping, "in" place.

Location. deluxe room spacious and well appointed.
Too noisy. impossible to sleep well.
the position of the hotel and not much else
not much other than some of the staff. Having stayed at the Helmsley Park Lane I just could not compare the two establishments,
Attention and concern of staff is excellent, especially Anna breakfast hostess in Amba room. Serving staff uneven although Nadia v nice and accommodating too.
Hotel overwhelmed by the world travel convention, on all fronts that kind of capacity is hard for the whole 'factory' that is the hotel to function. Eelevators slow, rooms seem tired, and what seemed appropriate three years ago now seems tired and yes, a little rundown.
very friendly staff, great bar and good food
Rooms must be ready much before 2 pm.
The Hotel was well located and the rooms were modern with all amenities.
Nice room, excellent service, quality casino.
Excellent location, nice hotel, but not top rate.
Room service breakfast was a bit poor considering price, small details missing for a hi calibre place.
