7.0 Good
Pros: The view was beautiful, as beautiful as it can be with a storm 'Ciara' coming in as it covered the sea in its grey embrace. It was moody and lively on the stormy day and yet I had sunshine the day before. Magnificent weather. The experience was so different from what we know it didn't appear to matter when the grey moved in. We even walked up to Berry Head and witnessed its strength; not by the edge of the cliff I have to add that would have been madness. The room was adequate and clean and the staff lovely and polite; smiley overall.
Cons: Sound proofing was terrible. It was as if cardboard were separating us from those walking on the landing or in the room next door. I spoke with a lady and she told us she had heard the previous guest snoring all night. It was like that the weather and the guests appeared to be inside with us.

Pros: We loved Churston Manor. So different in so many ways. Wonderful ambiance. Suits of armour everywhere. Bowed walls. Wooden beams and a tree growing out of the wall. We only had sandwiches and the cooked breakfast but both were perfect. Excellent value for money.
7.0 Good
Pros: the charm and history of the pub....the village ..the location is great the beers were good in the bar 5 pints of old rosie at £3.20 a pint was GREAT close to the sea side town of brixham which we explored again
Cons: breakfast was the only downer....they had downgraded to cheap sausages and little service my partner ordered boiled eggs......they brought out 1 egg on a plate...welded to the egg cup and hard as a rock...embarrassing for the waitress to present!!! my partner made an observation that the staff are content to let dishes pile up and hide away in the kitchen... the fireplace was in need of cleaning and piled up with old ash...does this give off carbon monoxide?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What an amazing place warm and welcoming. The staff were super friendly and told us ghost stories and some history about the house. We will be back
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a completely unique experience. Like travelling back in time but still with the up to date comforts.
Cons: It did take a while for the hot water to sort itself but the owner told us the water in area had been off and it had taken it's time to flow through the system.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Evening meal was ok..nothing special. Staff were very pleasant. Outside of the building is looking shabby and in need of much attention. I got the feeling the place has gone downhill a lot and in need of new management.
Cons: The seating in the bar could be comfier.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast was good and good choice but don't arrive late, cleared away promptly. Location nice and peaceful.
Cons: Arrived on Sunday afternoon to a bar with a band playing, the music was ok but far too loud for the size of the room. Evening meal was average, steak was not very good and served with a sauce containing gluten even after advising this needed to be a gluten free meal and no one very concerned even after reporting so don't eat here if you have an allergy. Some of the decor tired.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a lovely atmosphere and the live music was brilliant I really enjoyed my stay

When going back to the room decided to turn on lamp which didn't come on when I moved to turn on behind the beside cabinet the cabinet top which wasn't attached on either side of the bed feel off and injured my foot. Me and my partner really did start feeling low and began to argue and was on verge of leaving to point we was sat in car ready to go where we was asked when we would be leaving because of the parking, I turned round and said sort us out with a room with working facility's where they moved us one last time begrudginly and was finally able to shower and sleep in a room which wasn't falling apart. Pros: Fabulous hosts, it’s the first time we have had a host take us through everything to how to work the shower, turn on tv, where everything is, and provide fresh milk in a fridge for tea and coffee. Very welcoming and friendly. Parking on site a great bonus, although only a 15 minute walk into town, or bus stop right outside. Lovely room, very comfy bed. Extremely sparkling clean Fantastic breakfast. Would highly recommend
Cons: Nothing to dislike at all

Pros: Spotlessly clean with everything you need, and more, in the bright, spacious bedroom. Lots of little extras like chocolates, good quality teas and coffee and bath robes. Helen and Paul are very accommodating, and make you feel very welcome.
Cons: The breakfast finished at 9.00am , which seems a bit early at the weekend! But it was worth getting up for as there was plenty of choice, beautifully cooked.
