Very comfortable hotel and nice place for relaxing and chilling out
The staff at the terrace bar where they only serve drinks were a bit slow
everything was excellent
Great location though 800m from the medina may be generous. Best thing was the pool with stunning giant beds to sunbathe and lounge on. Nice clean rooms.
Rather pricey hotel prices. €5+ for half a pint and the first (and only) night I had room service I found out the sandwiches were around €25. We went in November which is not busy yet it still wasn’t easy to get served by the pool despite there being more staff than guests. I was annoyed they charged for certain things in the gym, when you are staying at a (not cheap) 5* I don’t expect silly add-ons like that.
The swimming pool area, spa, really comfortable beds and location.
The service (with the exception of housekeeping, the spa and some of the staff at the swimming pool restaurant) was awful. There were a lot of staff, but most did very little. There was little, if no service, around the pool area, the bar staff were terrible (they practically ignored you), and the reception staff were arrogant. The prices of food and drinks were ridiculous, especially given the poor service. As a result we kept orders in the hotel down to the staff. I've stayed at many 5 star hotels, and to be honest I could run this one better than the existing management, despite having no hospitality management experience.
Its grounds and pool area and its position near to the Medina and rooms
Service was a bit erratic in the bars and restaurant
We found many members of staff extremely courteous and helpful. The amenities were excellent, but I feel if you are staying in such a hotel the spa should be accessible without additional cost. The breakfast was copious and delicious, with friendly helpful staff who served coffee and tea in record time. The pool area was well organised, and the pool temperature, though quite "fresh" was perfect.
One or two more senior staff members were impolite in the extreme. This I had been warned about and was disappointed that it still existed, because it undermines the enormous effort made by the rest of the very endearing employees. However one has to imagine that all the guests are not perfect "angels" either!!!
superb location
friendly staff and great breakfast!
We had difficulty alternating between the bath and shower taps, i.e. the 'button' was not easy to operate - took nearly 10 minutes. also, we were not given any info about breakfast when we checked in, and had to call reception.
good breakfast
room is basic and toilet very small ,television very old,
Excellent staff, very welcoming and helpful, excellent breakfast, very good room service with amazing presentation. Good location, secure, relaxing.
Not many people can speak english, mostly french and arabic. The beds were quite hard and the swimming pool was very shallow.
