Pros: This was our only alternative as Hurricane Matthew forced people west and all hotels filled up over night. Having read the reviews we were prepared for anything but were pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, clean room, good bed and linen and bathroom. The "wooden" flooring was a welcome change from nasty hotel carpet. We clearly ended up in one of the renovated rooms so make sure to ask for one.

Pros: Price: It was inexpensive. $65ish per night.
Cleanliness: it was okay. If there was an okay column I'd put this there. The sink in the bath was clearly pretty new, and It looked like they'd done some other bathroom work recently. But, the shower curtain was a bit mildewed. The floor of the bathroom looked a bit dirty, but I couldn't tell if that was just a poorly done caulk job or if it was just dirty.
Staff: They only had one person there. So, no cleaning crew on staff to handle unexpected items. Having said that, the lady that helped me in the morning was GREAT! really personable and smart. The night staff was just okay.

Pros: The housekeeping and maintenance staff was friendly and helpful. I was there on a Saturday a week before Mardi Gras. I'm sure that is the busiest time of year for them but when we found our shower didn't drain properly, the maintenance man came right away and fixed it. We did not have to wait. The room was much cleaner than when we stayed at this hotel 2 years ago. Pillows and blankets were comfortable. Convenient location.
