Tanner at the front desk was excellent and very helpful even when we showed up just 30 minutes before the office was closing. The rooms were charming, clean and comfortable. A great great room for the price.
I would have loved an extra lock on the door, but I just prefer to be extra cautious.
Very welcoming and courteous staff. Great location and close to downtown Shasta. Newly renovated rooms and comfortable beds.
Pet Friendly Policy Excludes Cats
They were nice about approving a refund for our prepaid room when we were informed at check-in that cats aren’t allowed. The desk clerk was very apologetic and kind.
Their Pet Policy - it means “dogs only” (no cats) plus a $25 extra charge. This information is not stated on their website. We had to drive another 60 miles to Redding where the Motel 6 allows cats and cost us only $65 (with no extra charge for pets).
Okay for the money
Great Location, everything close by.
Can work more on their room cleaning and add more lights to the room. It was somewhat dark. My friends room had a heater with just 4 settings so their room was burning hot by midnight.
Good location but property it kept up.
Where to begin? Pictures online VERY deceiving! First off, the AC did not really work - you will go to bed sweating! Individual unit in each suite - so old the cover actually fell off when we turned it on! Makes noise but doesn't cool. Bed wasn't clean either - discovered long black hairs all over pillowcases. Towels provided were stained. No fitted top sheets - just a sheet thrown over old mattress, which means you'll wake up on the old mattress if you shift at all in your sleep. And the beds - so hard it even hurt my teenager's back! Property ran down over all - carpet worn back exposing hard sharp metal in between bathroom and bedroom floor. Tub was dirty as well and there weren't any window coverings in bathroom windows. Good location but not worth the money - will not stay there again!
flatscreen tv was great, the bathroom upgraded and clean very nice
air conditioner kept going off...
"Maid service" emptied one of two waste baskets which was left out in front of our room. Our beds unmade and towels as is.
Cute and cozy but needs better choice of food
This place would be awesome if they had a restaurant. Driving all day I need more than a chilly dog and mozzarella sticks
Very nice remodeled rooms.
Square footage of room is a little small but very nice room
Few places capture the imagination of nature lovers the way Northern California does. While this region is well known for its wine country and other cultural contributions, when you head north of the Bay area and find yourself in the mountains of Northern California, you are among some amazing undisturbed natural areas. Staying in a place like this requires accommodations that help you get out into nature while not forgetting that guests deserve the best of everything. When looking for a hotel in this area that combines luxury with the great outdoors, there’s one hotel that always comes to mind, the Shasta Inn.
The Shasta Inn is located nearby California’s largest mountain – Mt. Shasta. When you walk through the doors of the hotel, you’re immediately greeted with an old-style lodge. The main waiting area has beautiful leather upholstered seats with heavy wood furniture. The exposed beams let you know that you’re in a place where the natural world is fully on display – and if you need proof of that, just look up at the large picture windows showing you some of the world’s oldest trees. The suites are similarly well-appointed, especially with the large windows for you to look out upon the natural world.
Service is a point of pride for this hotel. One of the biggest points of pride is the Silver LEED certification. Being a green hotel in the natural world shows how committed the staff is to taking care of nature. You can also bring pets and the staff is excited to meet your furry friends.
Staying at the Shasta Inn is a must for all nature lovers who wish to see some of America’s best natural views.
