A lovely stay at Pine Hill Lodge
We enjoyed all four nights that we stayed here. Jeannette and Paul were very helpful and they had paid attention to some of the little details we hadn’t experienced on our three week NZ visit. The room was spotless, the bedding lovely, the outdoor area set up with a little table and chairs and a jacuzzis all with a view of vineyards. The WiFi was the best we have had all trip. We could order what we wanted from a continental breakfast menu and it would be delivered at whatever time we specified in the morning. We could even pick apples from their two trees to eat. We would highly recommend Pine Hill Lodge.
Nothing
Heaven!
Hands down one of the best B&B’s I’ve ever stayed at, Paul and Jeanine have set the bar very high. First off, it’s a beautiful property with gorgeous rooms and thoughtful design. There is nothing like the morning or evening light coming in through sheer curtains. The owners Paul and Jeanine, were above accommodating even before we got there trying to assist with a wine tour. Paul invited us to pick plums from their tree and they were yummy, even packed some with us for the rest of our trip. The breakfast each morning was great and eating with the vines right next to you was so relaxing. My fiancé fell in love with Truffle and Bacchus, the owners dogs and had a good romp on the property with them. The property is situated close to Ruby Beach, 30 minute drive from Abel Tasman, 30 minute drive from Nelson and close to all the vineyards in that region for tours. Jeanine put together a list of vineyards for us to check out and Paul even made our dinner reservation for us in Nelson the night we arrived. This is beyond service. We stayed in the Chardonnay room which was immaculate, we couldn’t hear a peep from our neighbours and if the owners hadn’t told us there was a full house we wouldn’t have known. The bed was so comfy it was really hard to get out of it the first morning for our sea kayak, also great pressure in the shower and lots of hot water. I can’t recommend this place enough. You will not be disappointed.
"Situated in a national park, this romantic bed & breakfast is 2.9 mi (4.6 km) from Mapua Wharf, and within 20 mi (32 km) of World of Wearable Art and Collectable Cars and Kaiteriteri Beach. Abel Tasman Coast Track is 21.8 mi (35.1 km) away. "
