There was a streetcar and bus stop right by the hotel which was very convenient.
Beds were comfortable and location was nice.
The grounds were trashy and the pool was gross. We often witnessed staff standing around talking and smoking. Staff would walk past trash on the ground, more than once, and never stopped to pick it up. The pool had a grease film on the surface of the water and a film on the tile edge. I brought the condition of the pool to the staff's attention and was told it would be cleaned that day, that never happened. The film on the tile easily scraped off with my thumb nail, I am sure a simple brushing would get the film off with little difficulty. If our roommate had showed himself on day one we would not have stayed at this location but the roach I found walking on the bedside table only joined us on our last day.
When we got to the room after checking in our hotel room door was open, the beds were a disaster, not made up in the least bit, trash in the trash cans & one... Yes ONE towel. No pillow cases at alllll the entire weekend even after requesting them numerous times. The only staff member worth anything was the security guard, super nice and very helpful, front desk lady was somewhat nice seemed too annoyed and not very helpful, took off the parking pass fee but I wasn't really interested in any of the other stuff... Security guard even told us that he tried to tell her to help us and all she said was "what you want me to do?!" When we told them the beds were not made or anything they just handed us one and a half sets of sheets and we had to strip and make out own beds... Not worth it, would rather pay the extra money next year for st patties weekend, very disappointing.
Free internet access at front desk; reasonable price; nice neibhborhood
Hotel rooms could be more fresh. There was a certain smell when you entered the room.
Very convenient to downtown and the garden district. Clean, nice breakfast, courteous staff.
All very good
I appreciated the beauty of the four buildings, the variety of rooms available, the lovely courtyard where I ate my breakfast, and the front desk staff.
Housekeeping service could have been more thoughtful about the work.
The hotel is really dirty and full of insects, and the staff are so rude and helpless...
It's a nice hotel, clean comfortable rooms.
It's location is a bit out of the center (but walkable or with streetcar) and next to a drive in restaurant.
The staff was informative and friendly.
The room was nice, the food for breakfast was good, and the location fit my need.
It was great!
Courteous staff, historical buildings, traditional design of property, beautiful landscaping, location.
The cost of parking was not mentioned until check-out time. This was a surprise. The neighborhood is a little scary.
Upon arriving at the hotel, it was in a questionable part of town. I was very impressed with the security of the hotel and the friendly staff. Seeing the security and the gated fence around the hotel, was very comforting to my wife and I as we had our two small children with us. We will definately stay here again and use booking.com.
Only concern was upon leaving at 5:00am, security was not around to open the gate, but security made such a fantastic first impression it was ok.
