The hotel needed updating overall. A/C barely working and it’s NYC in the summer. Staff super nice. Expensive for what it was but it’s NYC.

Cons (-) The front desk staff could have been more accomadating . Water from faucet was so cloudy it looked like bleach. When another water bottle was requested due to this condition, we were told several times that "there is only one water bottle per room". Pros (+) I liked the location as I chose it to be close to an interview location I was going to an interview nearby at Columbia University. The bathroom was decent, and clean, but the shower was very low flow and kinda cold. This was not a gold elite status experience.
Cons (-) The room was very old, dark and the bedding was uncomfortable and stinky. I arrived very late and had an intervuew at 6:30 am so I could not discuss the situation with the hotel immediatly. I woke up at 4 because the smell of the bed was so overwhelming and it felt dirty. There was a party downstairs and I could hear it all in my room.
