Our room was rough. Torn wallpaper, threadbare carpet, lights didn’t work right, etc... All said and done, we booked the room for a total of $375/night but in our opinion, not worth more than $200/night.
Pretty standard hotel. Nothing outstanding about the hotel. The location is great and convenient to just about anything in New York
The housekeeping department was bad. I called three times for towels one evening. They never came. Had to get them off the cart the next day. Question I asked at front desk and concierge kept getting passed around.
the hotel was close to all the places I wanted to visit
Everything was great.
Room layout was strange- wasted space and tiny bathroom. A low lamp over the couch that I kept running into - annoying.
Tired Hotel in Amazing Location
The location cannot be beat for fast access to everywhere in NYC.
The hotel is tried and outdated. The whole thing needs a complete makeover. Even the windows need additional insulation or replacement as the noise from traffic below is uncomfortable at times. The rooms feel tired and outdated, with weird old wall paper, leaky faucets, embarrassing old fiber-board armoires for closets and window trims which have rotted out.
Old mattresses blood on towels in two different rooms a/c broken elevator smelled of urine fridge broke and spoiled leftovers from 400 meal
Decent short stay for business in midtown
Everything seemed to be fairly updated except the bed. The bathroom was nicely updated and everything operated on clear controls. Lobby is nice, interesting artwork.
The bed definitely needed to be replaced. The room also was difficult to work in as it only had a small table and the chair wasn't good for this task either. Toilet was so close to the vanity that I actually was forced over sitting on it.
Just to Sleep On
I liked the location, it was perfect. Near to all the main attractions of New York.
For a four star hotel, it has no complimentary water or coffee in the room which most hotels got. Not much value for money.
Staff was very pleasant and it was simple to extend an additional night.
Cost of marketplace!! Noise was easily heard in hallway.
I did like the location and the fast check in. Room service was nice and fast!
I did not like that I got a $30 per day upgrade and the room was still real small. Got a view of the side of another. Also, no shuttle to airport. Housekeeping didn't give extra towels at checkin as requested online. Wish I hadn't upgraded!
