large room, great location
little bit dated
Location and cleanliness was good standard. Was easy to get to most tourist attractions and good access to subway stations.
The lobby was a construction site which wasn’t communicated.. didn’t find staff very friendly or helpful the receptionist who checked us in was not welcoming at all. Rooms are TINY and no facilities in room for tea or coffee etc. Very basic and dated. Disappointed as had been recommended by a few previous guests but didn’t think it was a good standard of accommodation overall for the price. Although location was good was a lot of construction work going on in the area which contributed to noise and just looked and felt unwelcoming.
Good location, quiet considering there was construction.
The room was too small. The bathroom was tiny and was difficult to move on. There was construction all around the lobby, and this was not communicated.
Location everything was close and food at the park café was good too cleanliness
That I need it to check out 2 days before my vacation time because of the corona virus
It was cold at night and we had to ask for blankets It’s too noisy
The Wellington Hotel is an old-fashioned property in the heart of Midtown Manhattan near Central Park and Times Square. Built in 1902, it looks classic and elegant and is popular with tourists because of its reasonable rates and hard-to-beat location.
The Wellington Hotel is well-located in Midtown Manhattan and steps away from Broadway and the 57th Street subway station. Central Park is a five-minute walk and the heart of Times Square is an eight-minute walk. New York’s celebrated Theatre District, world-famous Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, and several museums, shops, and restaurants are at the palm of guest’s hands.
Rooms at the Wellington are old-fashioned but have charm through traditional styles. Standard rooms offer one-or-two double beds or one queen-sized bed, while spacious Deluxe rooms offer a king-sized bed or two doubles and a separate living area. Many rooms offer city views of Central Park or Times Square and necessary conveniences for travel.
The Wellington offers all-day café service, a 24-hour gift shop, business center and excellent Greek restaurant. With perfect proximity to all hot spots, there are few on-site amenities. However, guests can easily travel to the Time Warner Center, Lincoln Center, and great shopping venues such as Sak's Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany's, Bloomingdale's, and H & M.
Though The Wellington is suitable for business travelers, the hotel tends to draw more vacationing couples, as the location is convenient to Midtown attractions and the subway.
