Pros: Breakfast and evening meals were top class with local food. All staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was very comfortable in all aspects but as it was close to the main road I was unable to leave the window open at night so was too warm. There are rooms away from the road so would advise requesting those if you would have the same problem as this wouldn't necessarily affect everyone.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Lonsdale is perfectly situated, only a few yards from pubs, cafés,shops etc. Also there is a carpark directly opposite the hotel. And behind that is another which charges £1 per 24 hours. The breakfast was Continental (7 30-9 30)and was very nice. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and on hand to re stock the breakfast table or provide more tea or coffee.Warm croissants were offered also. There is a beautiful garden at the back of the hotel. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is roomy with a bath with shower. My bed was comfy and I had two good nights sleep. There is a televisión in the room and kettle with coffee, milk and sugar.(I asked for tea bags) The checking in process was simple and all the staff were friendly. Overall the hotel was superbly located, clean and comfortable with parking only yards away and the staff were all friendly.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like however if rooms are above you you can hear creaking floorboards now and again (I put in ear plugs now and again)and the hotel is a listed building and is a traditional hotel,a lovely building but not a boutique hotel. But nothing that I can say I didn’t like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Four poster bed was stunning. Sheets smelt so clean. Curtains were beautiful. Jacuzzi bath was amazing. I really want one. View of garden terrific. Which lets you know it's a clean place to go.

6.0 Good
Pros: The location is amazing, the bed was comfortable, the view was amazing, the sheets and towels are fluffy and clean. Plenty of space for items and clothing, tea and coffee and toiletries. The breakfast table was set out nicely facing the sea.
Cons: There was a weird smell in the room, it was like someone had smoked in there and an air freshener was covering the smell. It was also damp and I think the carpet was causing the smell but I’m not sure. If we were staying for more than 1 night I would have asked to move. With out the lovely view and balcony we would have been bitterly disappointed. Strangely and I feel quite inappropriately our bed were made whilst we were having breakfast. Our night clothes and underwear were on the bed... it was weird because we were due to check out an hour later... I can understand making up you room if you were staying or topping up your refreshed but they just did the beds.
