The Manor has been sold and gone through a total re-fit. They have put in a lift [ something it always needed] and the rooms have been given a good face lift. I have been going for weekeends for 15 years and this is the best so far. I thought it was a shame that they felt fit to get rid of all the local people who served in the dining room and bar, They were part of it somehow.

Fairly basic but clean, newly decorated and comfortable accomodation. Fantastic value for money. Friendly staff. Excellent dinner although I did not take a dinner inclusive package. Lovely beachside location.

Great refurbishment of a classic cliff hotel with superb sea views, fantastic restaurant food at low price, great staff. On second floor the shower was more of a drizzle.

Quality and quantity of food excellent. Staff were polite and extremely helpful. Room decoration rather tired but new owners are now upgrading.so we feel that they must be given a chance to improve.also no information online of full board packages which were available.

Staff worked very hard and were helpful and polite. Understaffed. At dinnertime we waited ten minutes to be seated and then a further 20 minutes before we were offered a menu and there was only one menu between four of us. It was a further 20 minutes before we were offered a drink. The whole two course meal took the best part of two and a half hours to serve and two of the items were incorrect. We didn't complain at the time because we were so hungry we would have eaten almost anything by then. Breakfast was a disappointment. We had been looking forward to looking out over the sea in your lovely dining room. Of course we were not allowed to do that and were confined in the dark recesses of a conference room. What a pity the hotel doesn't capitalise on its main asset. The food itself was quite reasonable on Sunday but on Monday we were given such a small piece of haddock that our first port of call after checking out was to buy food at the village shop.
