8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room air conditioning was broken, spoke to a staff member who dealt with the issue quickly and moved us to a newly renovated room
Cons: It seems like luck of the draw whether you get one of the old rooms or a newly refurbished one. The refurbished ones are much nicer
6.7 Good
Pros: A Gorgeous new Refurb has been done. Very impressed for the price £80 per night at how lovely and a spacious the room and bathroom it was. There was a Very nice friendly gentleman on reception to greet us on arrival also. A lovely new designed room. A large separate shower and bath. Lovely interior and clean. Good selection of tea and coffee etc. Unfortunately the room was freezing. The trickle heating only works with a key card which you take out ( we are all for being environmental friendly) However, you wouldn’t turn your heating at home off completely when you left the house- one would expect a trickle of heat. My partner is the sort of person who goes outside skiing with no thermals and he was freezing and said it was like camping. The corridor and outside were warmer. Probably due to the large windows ( even though the curtains were pulled from me going in the room at 2:30pm) We put the heating up to 24 for an hour and couldn’t feel any heat coming out. Eventually as the room hadn’t warmed up we called Reception. By this point i had two duvets on the bed ( there are two beds in the bedroom) a wool jogging suit and dressing gown on and my head /ears were like an ice block and I was literally shivering. The staff member came to the room and said he wasn’t cold ( probably as he had been running around the hotel in a suit walking) plus our corridor was a long walk on the ground floor from reception. He managed to do something different and it improved slightly and by the morning we woke up to an ok temperature. This was not a comfortable stay because of this which is disappointing as we would’ve returned as my fiancé works nearby regularly and we live 200 miles away. We did let the reception know of our feelings the next day.

Pros: Staff was friendly and service minded. Food at the bar was good.
Cons: The meeting rooms were not clean and the air not refreshed.

5.1 Okay
Pros: Hotel tired in need of refurb. Rooms neglected (white paintwork touched up with cream paint). Breakfast awful, no juice glasses, orange juice warm , toast stale and full english only half english as it was missing mushrooms and tomato. After waiting a half hour for this and at a price of £21 per head I expected a lot more.
Cons: As previously stated not as it used to be, standards dropped
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, food, location, atmosphere were all great.
Cons: Six nations match wouldn’t plan on the bar tv
9.0 Excellent
Pros: View
Cons: No hot water on Sunday morning
6.3 Good
Pros: Very good location and views of the river and church. The bed was very comfortable and the clean sheets were lovely.
Cons: The hotel is a little tired. Fittings in the bathroom were a little worn. The breakfast was a good standard but we had to ask for toast to accompany our meal. Some of the cutlery and china was dirty, inasmuch as it hadn’t been washed properly. The window didn’t open in our room which made it far too warm when the heating came on. The ac wasn’t at all effective.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great iconic Inn in super riverside location.
Cons: For £175pn I expected a far better room than we were allocated. Facing the car park, it was cramped, noisy and stuffy. Perhaps I should have booked direct with the hotel as my son did, getting allocated a much better room at a much cheaper price..?
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location. Food and staff.
Cons: Just the pillows too soft.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were polite, friendly and well presented. The hotel has great views over the river and if you are lucky you may get a river view room.
Cons: The hotel was very overpriced. The room, looked OK from a glance but on closer inspection, it was dirty, many things damaged and run down. The shower was poor and bathroom very small. For this amount of money I would of expected something significantly better, a few weekends ago I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express, which, surprisingly was far superior and for a quarter of the price.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff are very nice
Cons: Dinner and breakfast. An enormous obligatory tip on top of an over priced meal

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and superb room. Private parking. Terrific gardens and grand view of the Thames. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and hot cooked to order. Service was faultless, polite and helpful.
Cons: When we arrived we requested tea and the sandwiches were with stale bread. They do not know that to have hot tea you need to heat the pot first. The evening was a disaster. Asked to eat early because of large party so ready on time. Starters arrived quickly and plates cleared away. Then had wait of 25 minutes before main course. Staff appeared to have vanished so no attempt to refill wine. Eventually plates removed and then long wait for next course. 1830 start resulted in 2130 finish. Retired to cold lounge. Evening staff, with one exception, were rude to the point of hostility. Female at reception desk should be considered for work elsewhere. This was an anniversary dinner for 7 of us and spoilt by the inept and totally unfriendly staff. This was very different from our experience when we have stayed there at least twice before.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was expensive and they didn’t serve baked beans they had to be ordered separate while your breakfast was getting cold. Pictures of exterior wasn’t true it looked aged and needed a good paint not like it was in pictures
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place good location and gorgeous house our room was fabulous could not fault it! The service from the moment we got there until we left was faultless! The swimming pool and sauna was so relaxing
Cons: The staff in the spa were miserable like they did not want to be there!
6.0 Good
Pros: Amazing layout of the suite and the grounds and building are stunning
Cons: Staff were young and inexperienced in certain areas mainly breakfast and dinner service. If you mention truffle on the menu in three dishes at least get some fresh truffle in. A little grate or shave of fresh truffle instead of oil would take the experience up a level especially for £40 for 3 average courses. Breakfast very average with the warm depleted Bain Marie breakfast and your only choice of bread is thin sliced white or grain. We were forgotten about for coffee and had to ask again after 15 min wait, also how about a selection of different breads to go with your charcutery meats and cheese? I think a menu should be on the table offering a breakfast freshly cooked as I later found out was possible and choice of eggs instead of Bain Marie scrambled slop. Was asked if I wanted a morning paper to which I replied yes. Didn't get it. Paint falling off and in need of some TLC on the windows in the £480 a night suite. TV didn't work and screws found on the floor which were stood on. Shower was cold water in the morning. A few niggly things which we didn't expect. £16 cocktail was shocking and undrinkable, again I think a little inexperienced on the making of them. I think with service tightened up and a bit more training given this establishment would go up a level.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming staff and spacious room with beautiful view. Food in evening especially tasty.
Cons: Basic spa facilities adequate but do not match splendour of house. Pool would ideally be bigger
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, great restaurant and a lovely spa on beautiful grounds. All round great escape
Cons: Nothing

6.3 Good
Pros: The dinner was very good, the room was very clean and comfortable. Good parking, ideal location for Henley
Cons: I was very disappointed that I was told breakfast was served from 7am, I asked if I needed to reserve a table for an early breakfast. I was assured that I could just wonder in from 7. When I went down for breakfast at 7:20 I was met by a cleaner who told me that nobody would be there until 8am. It was hugely inconvenient, I had an early start and hand was going to spend the whole day walking in the countryside. If I had known or been informed I would have made other arrangements. Not happy.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: only problem is the rooms being quite a long walk from the pub luckily it was dry
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, country pub with fancy rooms... Really nice staff and local craft beers on draft! Good pub food and cosy restaurant with separate bar space and terace if the weather is good ;-)
Cons: The weather, but that's not in their control. You need a taxi to reach the venue, on the other hand you are then in a wonderful area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had such lovely/amazing stay full of memories. Staff very attentive, could not do enough for you. Would highly recommend for business and pleasure. The bathroom with stream room creates such a relaxing staff.
Cons: Nothing!!!! we felt could be improved on

Pros: Everything. Lovely, cute and cosy B&B. We were only in town for 1 night for dinner at the Hand and Flowers and this was an easy walk away. Comfy bed! Spacious shower, so nice to have a living area to relax in as well as the bedroom. Yvonne was a delight, we could have chatted about food all day! Definitely recommend if you need somewhere to stay in Marlow...
Cons: Probably the only downside was parking was a little scarce, we did find a space on the street though.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are all professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Would recommend.
Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fab staff and really helpful!
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed was extremely comfortable. Room had everything we needed. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. My partner was very impressed with the gym.
Cons: Service for our Friday evening meal in the restaurant was rather 'hit and miss'; much better Saturday. (The food, when it arrived, was good.) If the hotel claims to be environmentally friendly about the re-use of towels, why doesn't it train the staff to notice where towels are left each day and not replace them when they are left on the rails?
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very lovely and loved a lovely message in a room by a housekeeper. I think, it was really sweet. It was tidy and not as noisy, as from experiences from other hotels the noise can be a nightmare, especially if you are visiting for business and need to be fresh the next day. Food in the restaurant was quite nice as well and affordable.
Cons: One thing, I would say is that when I looked a few days ago the rate was £59 and I paid £79 which I think is a huge jump in the pricing. Also, the breakfast for additional £15 is a bit unfair when I heard that others were paying £79 including breakfast. I was planning to stay again due to business, but right now I feel like if people are not charged the same than it's not really fair. Also the shower curtain smelled hence I feel like shower curtains are not very hygienic.

Cons: Lunch options, general training of staff
5.4 Okay
Pros: Pretty grounds, old stately home
Cons: Had to walk miles to our room. Hot tub we couldn’t use
7.5 Good
Pros: Service wasn’t great and the breakfast buffet was very basic.
Cons: Hotel itself beautiful but checkout was very rather early at 11am and the service was slow
4.0 Okay
Pros: Stunning historical English country house and estate not far outside London with beautiful grounds. The residents lounge featured a great ambiance and collection of whiskies.
Cons: As per Wikipedia states: Cliveden has become one of the National Trust's most popular pay-for-entry visitor attractions, hosting 483,754 visitors in 2018. This means that for the residents that any hope of an exclusive restful visit are futile. An invasion of visitors come on to the estate during the weekend. Also, the staff as well as quality of execution are nowhere near what the price level would imply.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and approachable staff. Beautiful and peaceful location. Enjoyed the restaurant with a view over the lawns with their active bird life. Loved the dining room curtains
Cons: Nothing - tip-top stay
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The individually exceptionally comfortable named rooms Majority of staff can’t do enough for you and attend your every whim
Cons: The food was excellent but it was let down by shoddy service on this occasion
8.5 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing! The house and rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The grounds are breathtaking. The food was excellent.
Cons: Maid service slammed doors while cleaning mid day while we were napping. The house is directly under a flight path which is loud at times. The boat tour was nice, but the captain could have been way more personable and informative for the price we paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.

7.0 Good
Pros: Location was very good. Gardens lovely.
Cons: Breakfast. Quite expensive. Bit greasy, and not quite what I asked for. Needed to remind about some parts of the order. Tea not very nice. Service a bit disjointed although staff very pleasant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property has been refurbished well and is extremely comfortable. The staff were wonderfully helpful and looked after all of our needs. From the welcome desk to the bar to the restaurant everyone was friendly and professional. Nothing seemed too big an ask. Our room was comfortable and clean and the complementary mini bar meant we didn’t need to leave our room in the high winds to go and get a drink. The lounge in the temple room was excellent. We went and had coffee and sat and watched the river. Our stay at The Monkey Island Estate was Idyllic.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room with shower only was swapped for one with a bath on request.
Cons: Breakfast at £25 each was poor with no tomato or mushrooms as delivery hadn’t arrived. No berries, poor selection of fruit and only 1 yoghurt choice. Ran out of hot water running a bath and tv was not tuned properly. Told staff on check out but no response from management. Not 5star at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived we were greeted from the car, our bags taken and escorted to our room even offered a free upgrade. The estate, grounds and rooms were so exquisite and beautiful. After our night out and our return to the hotel we had our bed rolled back, bins emptied, clean towels, 4 cupcakes and deep sleep pillow sprays left in our room. Such a lovely touch and the attention to detail was spot on we will most definitely return as we loved our stay, the best and relaxing stay ever and we were made to feel really special .
Cons: Nothing everything was perfect and we were made to feel so special
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were lucky as the hotel was not busy and they upgraded us to the island and a lovely room. The room was amazing. The service in the restaurant and food was excellent but expensive. We had a three course meal and two drinks each not even a bottle of wine and the bill was £140!
Cons: We came back after a day out around 4pm and housekeeping had not been. We had to call up for this. The receptionist said “does the room need doing”. Not the answer you would expect as this should be part of the service. The hotel upgraded us as they were not busy at all. We had booked to stay in the Barn which is a building in the car park overlooking the car park. Had we been staying in the Barn we would not have been happy. I would not recommend anyone staying there. It is quite misleading from the website and even a member of staff did not talk highly of the Barn in the car park.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, quality
Cons: Breakfast menu

Cons: The bedroom was like a sauna, re requested to turn the radiator in our room off, we were told we would have to wait for the heating to go off at 11pm We came home in the early hours of the morning, we were asked by staff to keep the noise level down(fair enough) so we made an effort to be quiet(we were even wispering) but the staff still came and told us we had to go to sleep!!!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: it was cleaned every day, there was a heater in the room
Cons: there is no such "Hotel", and I have never seen such tiny room, couldn't use any of my electronic device, the adapter could not been provided, so far from reception, railway is so close, only 5 TV channels
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The cheep food at the White Horse an Bird in the Hand pubs just across the road. An the free internet for keeping in touch with home.
Cons: The room was not exactly next door but more like a half mile walk down west wycombe road. You check in at No. 156 an your room could be in any property along the road. The room i was in was at No. 84A. The room was like a box room with thin walls so i could hear everthing going on, not good when your working nights.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: full English breakfast was cooked to perfection!
Cons: The noise of traffic from main road
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Worst hotel we have ever stayed in ; paid for 2 nights and stayed for only one in order to get out asap Room awful ; beds awful; shower/bathroom so tiny as to be almost inaccessible! Access to room up very steep stairs in annexe . Room on very busy main road ; very noisy ; hardly any safe parking .Annexe far too far from reception. No phone communication to main hotel from annexe.
7.3 Good
Pros: The cleaniness of the rooms was excellent, We stayed for my daughters graudation, there was five of us in total excellent space and layout of rooms!

Pros: Usually it can be stressful taking babies/toddlers to unfamiliar grounds but this hotel really eased our anxiety and our stay was very comfortable for us all. Nice comfortable clean beds. Hassan was very accommodating with breakfast for my little 3 year old. Ample parking space. Easy to get to. My husband was very pleased that there was a standing fan in the room as he sleeps at home with a standing fan on for background noise.
Cons: Not really a dislike but just a suggestion that a light by mirror table area would be useful as the mirror area was quite a dark area of the room in the evening. That said everything else was exceeded and i would still come here again
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room with good access to plug sockets. Nice to have a big bed even for one person
Cons: The room was a bit chilly but heating worked well when turned on.

Cons: Room was fine if a little small (room 15) and didn’t smell great; got the impression it was the last room they filled.... issue became apparent when lifted the blind.... 25/30 big flies!!!! Managed to get rid of most, but still makes me shiver!!! ...and one or two still hanging around in the morning!

Pros: It’s got a great feel of ‘high quality’ about it . Food service rooms were all fabulous
Cons: N/a
1.0 Poor
Pros: It was a pleasure to leave.
Cons: What an absolute embarrassment of a hotel. Checked in to appalling customer service on the front desk. Could barely muster 2 words, let alone a sentence to welcome us. Had a meeting room booked and on arrival we are taken to a different meeting room to the one that had been reserved. We had also arranged to have sandwiches served in the meeting room, but when the food was delivered to the meeting room the bread was covered in mould. The meeting room was damp and smelly. We later attended a wedding at a different venue which was wonderful. On returning to the hotel we were completely ignored by the front of house staff and after ascending the first flight of stairs we were confronted with vomit strewn across the carpet and up the wall. Completely unavoidable whilst making our way to our bedrooms. We were horrified and immediately made the gentleman on the front desk aware of the situation, and he then chose to ignore it.. and us. At quarter past midnight we decided that we were going to leave as were were not happy to stay the night in such an atrocious place. The entire hotel smelt hideous, was outdated and to say that the customer service left a lot to be desired would be the understatement of the century. Do not stay here!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the room we stayed in, It was called 'Hampton'. Plenty of wall sockets, the TV I think was 50" and a decent one (Samsung) Bed was massive and the room was very spacious. Bathroom/Shower was big enough for 2 ;)
Cons: Facilities was only a restaurant and bar. Food is a little pricey but was good.

Pros: Dining facilities were excellent Bed was very comfortable General ambiance was great
Cons: Some decor was a little tired

6.3 Good
Pros: The dinner was very good, the room was very clean and comfortable.
