I liked the location and the good service provided. Dinner is also often very good at this hotel. I have been to this hotel many times before. Last time before this was 4 years ago. But now, some rooms are in need of updating. Nothing is very bad but a new coat of paint and new rugs and such would help the look. Also, this time, our dietary requirements, although stated very clearly when ordering food, was not taken into account at the delivery of the food, twice! My experience 4 years ago was better but still, it's a nice hotel.
Excellent No en-suite but I'm being picky
Value for money. Francis, the owner was fantastic. the staff were exceptionally helpful. bid goodbye with a heavy heart, thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. great view of the mountain first thing in the morning.
We felt that the hotel was ours. The owner treated us very friendly. He allowed us to use the back yard to make our own barbeque. He even participated in the event by making a special salad with fresh vegetables from his garden. Generally, we felt like we were home.
Boss is always around and it is the hobby of his liftime to see all guest to feel well
The atmospere at Hotel du Pillon is like being at home, but without the hassle of having to do anything oneself. The first class 'ambiance' is partly due to the extremely friendly 'acceuil' of the owner.
Beautiful situation and scenery. A lot of charm for this old and authentic mountain hotel . Staff very nice, and easy going, Very elegant sitting and dining rooms . Good music and movies. The bedrooms are not yet restored but it's ok.
A lonely standing hotel, but not far from the Centre, with its own lonely train stop. Nice reception, beautiful view on the Mountains. Very tasteful decoration.
New and clean room, friendly owner, calm and cozy athmosphere, no set breakfast or check-out time so you do not need to hurry in the morning. None
Friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff. Beautiful view. Nice rooms that are well insulated! The hotel is rather a distance from the town which can be difficult in the winter if you have no car with the ice. Saying that we walked up the road every morning and night with little problem, so even though a car is helpful its not essential. Plus the view makes up for the distance!
A beautiful old (1875) hotel, with lots of charm and character, and a great welcome. The owner has done a wonderful renovating job, and shares his love for this valley with his guests. An excellent place for a quiet retreat in the mountains.
Nicely furnished and comfortable room Bathing room in general nice, but Shower needs some improvments
very friendly and helpful. would stay again
Very helpful and welcoming hotelier no
Charming and helpful hosts, good, quiet location and good value.
i liked everything! the hotel has been renovated in a 'mountain' but very modern style, my room was huge, did not experience such a good 'value for money' hotel in a looooong time! the owners and the staff are delightful!...location in the middle of the village is perfect. rated 10/10!!! ahahahahahah.......we had some 'strange relation' with the door code, for some reason we were not able to open the door with the code!! while demonstration by the owner was always successful!...happily though did not have to use it because the hotel was still opened when we were coming back at night!
Centrally located, friendly and welcoming staff.
Excellent friendly service - with dedicated local knowledge of terrain and services. Resort can be quiet - but thats a good thing also.
Charming beautiful authentic warm and welcoming peaceful superb hotel. Call Les Diablerets Ski resort management and ask if they have bothered to use snow machines to create and groom pistes, mark them and sign them properly like they do in France. So far they haven'T.
The staff were extremely friendly and very obliging. They made my stay even more enjoyable. The beds are a little on the small side
We liked almost every aspect of "Auberge de la poste. Excellent staff, friendly and professional. The stairs are not suited for people with knee- or hipproblems. No lift The rooms are very nice, but not suitable for tall people, they could easyly "collide " with the ceiling
The friendly and helpful attitude of the owner and staff.
Friendly staff Poor standard of maintenance. Reception closed all night from early evening.
Riverside location, comfy bed Room a bit small
The location to Glacier 3000 was fantastic. The hotel staff gave us a hard time about having bought beer and drinking it on the hotels minature golf course.
Hotel is very comfortable but not luxurious. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were simple but good and, on the whole food, was excellent. A great place for a hiking holiday. A bath would have been nice since we did a lot of hiking- but this is probably too much to ask from this sort of hotel!
Some one once told me if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all....
very child friendly rooms a bit spartan, pillows very uncomfortable
That our table for breakfast was reserved for us in the morning with a little notecard with our names!
Friendly staff, good location, clean rooms, practical for families poor noise insulation, quite expensive for what it is
