You couldn’t choose a more centrally located hotel in Carnforth than The Country Lodge & Brasserie on Lancaster Road. It’s a lovely rustic inn about 175 yards from the town centre and a short walk from Carnforth Railway station, making it convenient if you want to access public transport in the region.

You can also drive to the Forest of Bowland and the Lake District National Park from here. While secluded, it’s only about a mile from the centre of Carnforth for stocking up on supplies.

About 2.5 miles outside Carnforth is Capernwray House. This is a 5-star Silver Award hotel in an old converted manor house, surrounded by 11 acres of Lancashire countryside. Historical tourist attractions are close by, with Capernwray Chapel, Capernwray Hall and Borwick Hall all within about a mile of the establishment.

If you look a bit further out from the town of Carnforth itself, you’ll find Seed Hill Guest House. It’s just over 12 miles away and nicely situated in the countryside. You can walk to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and White Scar Caves, so you’ll actually be in a prime sightseeing area while saving money.
