Pros (+) Both the maître d'hôtel and the bar manager were incredibly helpful and friendly. Great views of part of the Forum from the roof terrace. There is also a terrace on the 2nd floor which was always completely empty on my visit; great for some peace and quiet after the tourist packed streets. The location is fantastic if you want both the Colosseum and Forum on your door step.
Cons (-) The bed in my room probably needed the mattress changing, it felt like it dipped in the middle. The restaurant is open to the public so can get busy, while i was there there was a wedding reception one evening which, as a solo traveller especially, would have meant a rather awkward dining experience.
