I had fever and called the hotel to get me a doctor to feel better They suspect that I have corona virus and threat me very bad and said if I leave we will call the police and so in a funny way which was in respectful at all Which I didn’t have and result camer that I’m negative and I left directly from this hotel and I won’t come back to this hotel Plus before I reached the hotel they informed me by one day that they had maintenance which I didn’t like at all and it was very bad and an professional

Cons: Building works are being undertaken at the moment, so there was a lot of dust, the view from our room was obscured by a crane and scaffolding and there was some noise, but the double glazing and door cover worked amazingly well at muffling the sound. The staff in the restaurants seemed a bit over worked.

Cons: Parking a bit of a nightmare. Someone had parked in our reserved spot and car park was full so had to park in City carp ark and walk back which was a nuisance as it was late. Roof bar and restaurant was closed and we were not informed before our stay which was a bit of a disappointment but we had breakfast up there and the view was great. We did not understand why bar was not open in the evening as same area was open for breakfast.

Cons: To be picky the only thing that could have been. Ether was to have kettle and cups in room tea chocolate and coffee. To be fair when requested kettle was provided but only small cup but no tea or coffe

Cons: Unfortunately the room wasn’t that clean, there was dust on multiple places, bathroom had a fungus in the doors and the shower head didn’t function and kept falling down. The beds are uncomfortable and overused. To easily describe it your position in bed is a U shape. The corridor is very loud and you hear people talk and walk down it all over night. On checkout the receptionist wasn’t friendly, didn’t ask how our stay was and the bill was incorrect. Although the weather wasn't great for our stay in Salzburg the hotel staff were very helpful pointing out things to do and see and even providing very nice umbrellas to keep the rain off us. The included breakfast at the hotel was also very nice.

Pros: I had a very brief but pleasant stay during a very stressful period in Salzburg. I want to commend the staff for being so kind and helpful during a difficult time. They let me check in early and check out late on my day of departure. Great location, and my room had a nice view of the river. Rooms are a bit dated but hey it's a very old and historical building! Hope I can return some day in happier times.

Cons: we asked for various things at the reception and the gentleman on duty didn't deal with any of our issues. The beds are all twins and we asked for them to be made into a double and they put a sheet across it, rather than had a fitted double sheet. There was a vase of dead flowers. The plug sockets were loose. The room was very dark even with the lights on. Loads of steps everywhere - no good for a wheelchair or someone with bad walking. We were not able to have dinner in the hotel as there was a convention on, so they suggested the cafe and they could only offer a very limited choice, so we had to go elsewhere

Cons: The light in the bathroom was out. Told the front desk. They had someone fix it but when we turned it on it went out in seconds. More then a burnt bulb. Front desk appreciated us reporting the problem.

Cons: This hotel is SO NOISY. The street outside turned into party central early evening and raged until morning. That’s one thing when you can keep your Windows shut but when it’s 30+ C, you can’t lead you suffocate. This hotels solution to cooling the room in sweltering heat was a tiny desk fan (10cm, seriously). Too hot and too noisy to sleep. Never again and I honestly think they owe us some credit back for the misery and lack of notice on the situation.

Cons: I had excruciating pain and asked for paracetamol at 11pm and they said hotel can’t give any so I said can you please tell me the nearest pharmacy and the staff said everything is closed. I was still in pain 3 hours later and when I called begging for manager to ask other staff for paracetamol the manager picked up and I asked about the pharmacy again and he said there is one 5 mins car ride away. I went through 3 hours of agony because a staff either could not be bothered to find the information or gave me wrong information because he was not trained properly. I only asked for paracetamol, nothing too strong. Worst experience in a hotel ever. When the manager said a pharmacy was open I said can you please get your hotel staff to get it as I was too much in pain and I will pay and they said no we can’t go you have to pay the taxi driver plus it’s cash only. I had no cash only card so they wouldn’t accept. This was a 4 star hotel- a staff could have easily gone with their hotel car in an emergency situation. I was not expecting from a 4 star hotel.

Dorm room doesn't feel too packed. There is a table and lockers in each room. Ventillation in the room secured by the air-co (which is nice when up to 8 people in the same room). Safe: Always a reception and need of keycard to enter rooms.

Cons: I noticed not all mattresses in the dorm were good (some looked old and soft). This is a hotel, that put a few bunkbeds in some of their rooms. So no hostel atmosphere - not sure if there is a kitchen. There is only 1 toilet per room - which is a bit low for a room of 8. Spare bathroom near the reception...which can be quite a long walk.

The restaurant staff were great especially Zisis Balatsoukas and another Asian girl . They were both excellent and looked after the guest

Was here for a work trip - paid for an extra day, had to change room from a second floor room to first floor room thereafter. First floor rooms are old and extremely poorly lit - unlike with second floor room which are spacious, newly furnished and have a great shower.

Cons: The buses are a bit confusing and this hotel is not walkable distance from the train station. The room itself was nearly perfect. The only thing I think could be improved would be to add USB outlets as this is very handy for international guests. I wish I could have stayed all 3 nights at this hotel while I was in Salzburg, but the rates move around dramatically from night to night. This seems common. I saved about €100 by staying in a different hotel each night of my stay in Salzburg.

Cons: Weirdly, shower was right in front of the bed and the back wall of the shower is semi-transparent. So if someone is on the bed, they can totally see you showering. Same with the toilet, but the lightning is not that bright there. Not that it bothered me much, but i can imagine it being a problem.

Cons: firstly when I arrived I found most of the hostel is in maintenance and most of carpets are removed second I found my room with two persons (they were not in room) and the smile of the room is so bad from their shoes and their things (beer and other things ) I asked to change my room with one or two but more clean and recently occupied I found the other had be fully occupied with dirty people and in night two person at 1 AM fight Choking due to one snoring of them

Cons: The hotel rooms are old and literally have baseboards peeling off the wall. The toilet is tiny and there's barely any elbow space in the entire restroom. There was dust all over the furniture and stains on the towels. The elevators on our floor did not even work. This is falsely advertised as a 4-hotel but is outdated and horrible quality for the money.

Cons: The checkout experience was bad and the lady at the desk quite rude. We were told while checking out that we owed €9.30 like it was something obvious. We had to ask why and she told us it was the city tax. I asked to pay by card but was told the minimum amount to do that was 15 so even if she could clearly see we were in a rush she just told me there was a cash machine somewhere 200 m to the right of the hotel. I ran there (more than 200m) and couldn't see any ATM. Google maps didn't show any bank int he vicinity so I ran back to the hotel, explained that we were about to miss a bus by now and to please charge it to my bank account or something that was convenient for them. Amazingly, her reply was rolling eyes and some murmuring in german (our previous conversation was in English as I can't speak German) while she gave me the card terminal. I paid and she didn't say anything else, not sorry for the trouble, not thank you, not even good bye. This was on March 7 around 8 in the morning. The rest of the staff seemed nice though.
