Pros (+) For being snack dab in the middle of downtown and over 100 years old, the room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable
Cons (-) I ordered room service for dinner and had the breakfast buffet in Garden Court - both were decent but definitely below my expectations of what a luxury hotel can deliver in terms of quality & creativity on the menu.

Pros (+) We liked EVERYTHING!!!! Gorgeous hotel- beautifully decorated, the epitome of class and style. Staff was lovely. Room was clean and the beds and linens made for the most comfortable sleep. Pool was beautiful and food was delicious!!!

Pros (+) This is a great hotel, a retreat from the noise and business of San Francisco. It is a beautiful gentle well appointed place to stay. The peace and calm that pervades every part of this hotel seeps into your heart. You relax as soon as you walk in the door. The beds are comfortable, beautiful pillows, well appointed rooms. Great food and served impeccably.

Pros (+) Nice to stay in a piece of history. Very convenient location for MUNI/BART. Rooms appointments very nice, beds great. Main lobby atrium is stunning. Well-trained, personable staff.
Cons (-) Coffee/wifi in room would be nice, but that's unfortunately the nature of the beast (Hol Inn Express does that, not most upscale). I went with two hyperactive twin boys, and though not an ideal hotel for kids in most ways, the staff was very patient and accommodating with them.
