Budget called an Hour before we boarded our flight to reconfirm our rental. When we arrived at the aIrport at 11pm no midsize car was available and they tried to give us a pickup truck at double the price. Bait and switch . Most other car rental counters were closed BUT we were able to find a better car for cheaper through Best car rental. Budget pulled the same stunt in september.

Liked nothing. They made me stay outside for about an hour while they got the paper work ready for the car. They made me pay almost $200 more for insurance and I had a letter from my insurance company stating that I was covered and I also had insurance coverage fro my Citibank ceditcard that I used to pay. When I returned the car they charged me an additional $113 for a scrap on the right rear bumper they said was not there, even though I had pictures on my phone of it and the original paperwork that their employee filed out listing the damage and then they charged my $1.25 for their employee to give us a ride back to the departing area of the airport telling me it was to cover parking for their own lot.

They charge me insurance , when I told them I already paid for my insurance from USA they ignored it and they still charged me , just because I was in a hurry, don’t make a big fuss out of it, No more Budget or Kayak

Surprised charges, car was damaged and had bad axels. Lots of noise was being made when driving. It rained a couple times during our trip and the car’s windshield wipers were old and obstructed our view while driving when we tried wiping. We thought we were going to get into a major accident. When there was dirt on the windshield and tried wiping it clean there was no water put in the car. We actually had to throw water from our water bottles to help us clean the windshield. It was an overall dangerous experience. I would not rent again.

The Hyundai they gave us was not a new model, and it’s battery died after three days. Alamo responded by bringing us a Nissan Kick replacement, but it took more than two hours to get it to us. Aside from that, the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Salvadoran mandatory private liability insurance of 14.99$/day needs to be shown in the booking price, our rental price more than doubled because of it!

They did no have the SUV as I indicated. I made the reservation months ago. When I went to the pick up center I had to wait ½ an hour. The car itself was ok. There were a lot of dents and scratches and the underside had something that was hanging off. It was being held by a piece of rope.

I was told I HAVE to get the premium insurance otherwise my deposit would be $26,000!!The receptionist kept on showing us in Spanish, I asked to have it shown in English, she did. And I was able to select no insurance, but it needed managers passcode. So I clicked back, and selected the lowest coverage and it was allowing me to choose how much deposit, $5000! At the return, they charged me $0.01 to release my deposit, which still has not been release. The car itself was comfortable, the people on the other hand, I feel they are shady.
